Lucy Frances Ryan was born on March 29, 1968...first
girl of 7 children. Her parents are Julie, a singer, and Frank, became
mayor the year she was born. Lucy was born at Mt. Albert in Auckland, New
Zealand. Lucy loved to sing and Act. At age 10, she was in plays and sang,
her favorite. Lucy
loved to
sing more then acting. In high School, she dropped out. Her boyfriend Garth
Lawless and her left New Zealand and went to Greece and explored places,
but when they ran out of money, they went to Australia and worked at Gold
mining Camps. They worked there for about 11 Months, but they quit after
Lucy got pregnant, so they got married at a Register Office. Then 6 months
later, Lucy gave birth to a baby girl, her name was Daisy, so they went
back to New Zealand! After they went back, Lucy went job hunting while
Garth stayed home with Daisy! she had TV jobs like "Air New Zealand Holiday"
and a TV Movie called "Peach" and enough money to make ends meat. Many
years she had back and forth jobs, but she had a really cool Job as an
Amazon in the new Hercules Movie "Hercules and the Amazon Women". The Producers
were Sam
Raimi and Rob Tapert.
After the movie ended, Rob and Sam didn't forget Lucy, they then made Hercules
a Series and asks Lucy if she can play a Centaur's girlfriend, Lyla, and
of course she did, but Garth didn't like that she worked all the time.
After she did the Episode, Garth and Lucy's marriage was on the rocks but
they tried to work it out. Then, Rob and Sam had auditions for a Character
called Xena for the show, they had alot of girls and they asked Lucy to
audition, but she didn't get the part. Venessa Angel had gotten the part
as Xena, but right before they started shooting, Venessa got sick and couldn't
do it, and so they asked Lucy to do it and so she got
the part. They character Xena was a great hit but Lucy and Garth's marriage
was not so, they separated. After Xena became a hit show, Lucy and Garth
divorced in '95. After 7 years of marriage it was over, Daisy was only
6 years old. Lucy and Garth have joint custody for Daisy, he has the weekdays
while Lucy has the weekends. The Show Xena was such a hit, but Daisy hated
Xena, she hated the character because of her parents divorce, but while
Xena became more of a hit, she likes the show now. In the 1st year, Lucy
and Rob Tapert began to see each other, it was like love at first sight.
During the end of the 2nd season and the beginning of the 3rd, Rob asked
Lucy to marry her, she said yes. On March 28, a day before Lucy's birthday,
Rob
and Lucy exchanged vows,
Daisy was her maid of honor. After they're first year of marriage, Lucy
got pregnant and on Oct. 16th, 1999...Lucy gave birth to her 2nd child,
Julius...He was a beautiful child. Lucy had him at her New Zealand home,
with Rob by her side, in a birthing pool with no medication. Now at the
end of '99...Xena is a smashing hit...Lucy, Rob, Daisy, and Julius are
a one big happy family!
