Amy is an extremely intellegent girl who lives with her mother in a huge mansion. Her mother was a doctor, and her father was a painter, but they got divorced when Amy was really little. Amy is said to have an IQ of around 300, and she studies pretty much non-stop, except for when she's out Sailor Scouting.

Amy has big dreams, and she wants to be a doctor someday. In fact, in one episode, "Sailor Mercury Moving On?" Amy was considering going to Germany to study abroad. She gets as far as the airport and changes her mind, after all, she can't let down the Sailor Scouts.

Amy is a shy, introverted girl, when she's not with the scouts she's mostly by herself. But at one time she liked a guy named Greg. She noticed him because he scored higher than her on an important test. Greg liked her a lot too, even before he even met her he caried around a newspaper clipping of her winning some kind of academic contest. When she talked to him, she found out that he was one of the Rainbow Crystal carriers, and he had the power to see the future. The reason he had scored higher than her on the test was because he had looked ahead in time and seen the correct answers. He knew that she was Sailor Mercury, and he knew that Zoicite would turn him into a monster and she would have to destroy him. It was kinda sad. Greg turned into a monster, but Sailor Moon healed him with her Moon Healing Activation power. At the end of the episode, Serena gave him a real picture of Amy to replace the tattered up newspaper clipping he had had before. Greg appears in a couple later episodes, and even though they aren't an official couple, the two definitly click.

Amy is a very important member of the Sailor Scouts team. As Sailor Mercury, she has the power of water. Though her attacks seem weak, and kind of stupid (comon, who could possibly be afraid of Mercury Bubbles?) you have to know that her attacks are strictly for distraction and confusion. When looking at it that way, her attacks are probably the most effective. She also has a specail visor that she activates by pressing her right earing. This visor helps her calculate things from the location of an enemy to an enemy's weak point. She has a little mini-computer to go along with her visor. These gadgets often help the Scouts out of big messes.

In short, Amy is a sweet, kind, extremely intellegent girl.

Mercury Bubbles Blast!	Shabon Spray!		Mercury forms a large bubble in her outstretched hands, then spins around so the bubble comes in front of her crossed arms. She releases the bubble and it spreads out into a mist that confuses and blinds the enemies.
Mercury Ice Strom Blast!	Shabon Spray Freezing!		This attack is exactly like Bubbles Blast, only it freezes the enemy as well.
Shine Aqua Illusion!	Shine Aqua Illusion!		A water droplet splashes by Mercury's feet. Then she starts spinning around with water droplets surrounding her. She raises her hands above her head then flings a bunch of water at the enemy, blinding them and often freezing them.
Sailor Mercury! Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!	Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!		Mercury plays her aqua harp and jets of water go flying out of the strings at the enemy, generally knocking them down. This is Mercury's most powerful attack.
N/A	Mercury Aqua Mirage!		Mercury only used this attack once, in a little specail called "Ami-chan no Hatsukoi." She gathers a ball of high-pressure water and flings it at the enemy. This attack has pretty cool animation.
