Michelle is an all-around talented girl, she is a wonderful musicain, a great swimmer and is as smart as, if not smarter than, Ami. She attends Mungen High School, a school only REALLY samrt people can go to. She's beautiful and graceful, everything Serena wants to be but isn't. She sometimes seems cold and sometimes unwilling to trust people, but her warm, loving side comes out with Amara.
Sailor Neptune was awakened when Michelle kept on having nightmares about the Silence, or the end of the world that would result if the Purity Chalace (Holy Grail) fell into the wrong hands. If the Purity Chalice was in the hands of the true Sovereign (Messiah), everything would be peaceful forever. But if it fell into evil hands, the end of the world would come. Sounds pretty weird to me, but oh well. Michelle realized her destiny as a Sailor Scout from these dreams, and transformed and fought by herself for a long time. Her goal was to find the three Crystal Treasures (Talismans), which would come together to form the holy grail. The talismans were located in the Pure Hearts of 3 human beings. The problem was, in order to retreive the pure heart and the talisman, the human would have to die. Even though this was the consequence, Neptune still tried to fill out her duty to the best of her ability.
Unfortunately, when the American dub finally came out, Michelle's relationship with Amara, Sailor Uranus, became confused. The American dub made the two to be very close cousins. In the original Japanese version, they aren't realated, however, they are VERY close. Like, in the "happy" way, if you get my drift... When Michelle discovered Amara was Sailor Uranus, she felt a combination of joy and sorrow. She 'admired' Amara a lot, and wanted to be around her, but at the same time she didn't want Amara to be caught in the same horrible battle that she was in. Michelle and Amara are practically inseperable, they hang out together, they attack together, very rarely do you see one without the other. There is obviously something more between these two, even though they never act on their love for each other phyisically (thank God), it's evident.
Later in the series, Michelle and Amara discovered that the talismans were actually stored inside of their own pure hearts. Because the two were so commited to their duties, they both died and had their pure hearts removed, but they wer replaced as soon as the talismans were taken out. Neptune's talisman was the Deep Aqua Mirror, and she uses it to attack.
As an Outer Scout, Sailor Neptunes duty durring the Silver Millenium was to protect the Moon Kingdom from invaders outside our Galaxy. Because of this specail task, the Outer Scouts are much more powerful than the inner scouts. Because the outermost planets are so far apart, they have to be powerful enough to fight by themselves, without any help. Also resulting from this job, the Outer Scouts are often reluctant to trust people for fear they may be after the Moon Princess. Neptune has the power of Water, which is similar to Sailor Mercury only Neptunes attacks revolve more around ocean water and Mercury around fresh water and freezing stuff.

 This is Neptune's basic attack. She spins around with her hands above her while waters are parted on either side of her. She then thrusts her palm out, sending a blue-green planet/water ball at the enemy. |
 Neptune uses this attack once she gets the Deep Aqua Mirror. She spins with her arm outsretched, holding the mirror. She stops spinning, and brings the mirror close to her than pushes out, sending a powerful blast toward the enemy. |
