1,000 years ago, all the planets lived in peace durring a time called the Silver Millenium. Queen Serenity was the Ruler of the Moon Kingdom durring this time. She kept all the planets at peace and ruled with a firm, but fair, hand. Her husband, King Kronos, died soon after their first child was born. Her sister was Queen Neherenia, and Queen Serenity was forced to banish her to the dark moon as a result of her evil deeds.
Queen Serenity had one daughter, Princess Serena. She was bringing her up to be a wise ruler. When the evil negaforce attacked the Moon Kingdom, Queen Serenity gave up her life to save Princess Serena and her court. With her last breath of life she stored their souls inside the Silver Crystal and sent them to Earth 1,000 years in the future... our present.
Now Queen Serenity is a ghost on the Moon. The scouts visited her once and she told them all about their past in the Silver Millenium. Serenity is brave and noble, she gave up everything to save her daughter who she loved so much. Queen Serenity is often overlooked in the story of Sailor Moon, and she deserves a lot more credit.
