Central Park (Eastern End)

This is an incredibly huge park, very well maintained despite crowds

that move through here at any hour, though it tends to be more

deserted at night. Cobblestone paths run through the grassy areas,

benches scattered everywhere. The park itself is divided into many

sections, featuring even a restuarant at the center, a zoo, several

statuary monuments, a fountain, and a floral garden.

To the south, the path slopes downward, passing beneath a bridge over

which cars drive, and emerging into a wider opening, where the Zoo is

locathed. Glancing further, you can see a red brick building with an

intriguing clock on top. Once an hour, on te hour, the bronze statues

of animals dance around the clock while an animated little tune

chimes their rounds.

Tomite is here.

Obvious exits:

It's time to play 'give several seishi a heart attack', aka, watch

Anana wander around in Central Park on her own. Being cooped up was

getting a little bit too annoying, and so, leaving a note for Tori

and Nicholas, the girl caught the subway up here, in need of a bit of

outdoors. At the moment, she's tossing a snowball up and down

thoughtfully as she walks along one of the cobblestone paths.

Chase is out of a jog. Yes, a jog. Pack over his shoulder, bounding

through snow and plowed walks alike with his usual exuberance for the

cold weather and typical enjoyment of life. Yeah, so he likes the

snow, is this really so wrong? Taking things at a steady, but ground-

eating lope, inevitably, his path draws him towards Anana like the

proverbial moth to a flame. He leans down, scooping up a bit of snow

as he continues, pats it neatly and then, deliberately, misses and

strikes the ground with it at her feet.

Anana blinks as a snowball splats at her feet, then follows the

trajectory and laughs. "Don't make me throw this one at you. I've

been juggling it for a while; it's icy and hard." But at least there

aren't any rocks in it. The pink-haired girl is all but bouncing with

energy at the moment, quite akin to the chibi of yore. She waves her

snowball, then tosses it halfheartedly at him, intending on missing.

Chase chuckles to himself as he trots up to her, dodging the snowball

about as half-heartedly as she threw the thing. "Hey, I was just

teasing. Notice that I /missed/. I'd sure hate to mess up your hair

or anything." Of course, he follows that with a dramatic wink.

Drawing in a long breath of the cool air, he looks down at her, "What

brings you out here? Trying to tempt unsuspecting children into

making a snowfort with you?"

Anana giggles merrily, shaking her head. "I hadn't thought about

that, but that's a fun idea," she replies, latching onto him in a hug

as soon as he's within hugging distance. Looking up at him, she

grins. "Are you volunteering to help, then? We can build a big fort

and throw snowballs at Brice and Travis and Setsuna when they come

looking for us."

Chase is apparently getting a lot of hugs lately as well. Wow. How

fortunes change. He laughs, giving her a hug right on back. "Hey, I'm

game if you are. But maybe we'll get lucky and some lone Seiryu will

happen by." Ohhh, wouldn't /that/ be fun? "You simply can't take the

chibi out of the teenager, can you?" Yeah, another wink follows.

But no smooches. Poor Chase. "I thought you'd prefer to throw

snowballs at the Suzaku. I'll help mess up Trevor's hair if he stops

by..." Anana offers brightly, stepping back and grinning all the more

at the wink. "Or we could use Johnston's hair as a target, too.

Of /course/ you can't take the chibi out of the teenager, I'm still

the same person, just a little older, and..." Mischief mingles with

hope in her eyes. "You wouldn't happen to have any candy, would you?"

Chase winces, gloved hands patting at his pockets. "Ack. No, I don't.

Clean out. When one goes out for a jog, you try /not/ to bring

sweets." Because, that would just be defeating the purpose. "Now, I

deliberately didn't mention the Suzaku at all, otherwise I know I'd

get a scowl for even saying it. But seeing as you brought it up..."

Anana pouts. "No fun," she says, quivering her lower lip like a pro,

until in the next moment, she's laughing again. "Those two are just

being dumb. I like them, but... meh." She looks up at him in brief

concern. "You're all right now, though? If you are, let's go build

our fort!" With all due drama, she points at a patch of somewhat

undisturbed snow. "There!"

Chase rolls his eyes, waving a dismissive hand at her. "Perfectly

fine." Just a couple of left-over welts, but other than that he is

right as rain. Or ice. Or whatever. He chuckles following after her,

dropping off the pack and dropping to his knees in the snow. Cold is

fun. "Never met... Trevor. At least, I don't think I did. Bah, I

can't remember any more. Too many sei running around the city. Met a

Byakko yesterday. Screams like nobody's business." Gloved hands push

around the snow into something of a pile.

Anana balls up a snowball again, then begins rolling it into a larger

ball, turning it over on its side to make sure it keeps on being

even. "Trevor McConnell. The pop star. He's the former Emperor, and I

think he's scared of ordering people around this time." Irony. "A

Byakko? Who screams? What did you do to make her scream, or what

happened? And who is she?"

Chase blinks for a moment, and then facepalms. "Wait. Yes, I did.

Damn, I really can be an idiot some times." Thank you, aniki. "Yeah,

and you were there, pip-squeak." Duh. He moves to stand, going over

aways to push over yet more snow. Good thing there is plenty around

here. "How'd you know it was a girl? Could have been one of their

guys, you know?" Screeching Byakko guy. That'd be great. "But no, it

wasn't. Mina? I didn't /mean/ to sneak up behind her and Brice, but

it happened. He yelled, she screamed. It was something to warm your

heart."

"Oh, when was that? You're right, it's hard to remember who I know

nowadays. Meh." Anana waves a hand dismissively. "Don't give him any

good information. He talks to Lexie way too much, and... eh. Never

mind. Girls usually scream, boys usually yell, like you said, so I

thought it was a girl. Mina?" Blink. "Oh, yeah. Amefuri. She's nice."

She pushes that snowball around until she can't move it anymore, then

turns to Chase with a helpless look. "I can't get it to where I want

it to be, right next to your pile there."

Chase nods. "A /long/ time ago. Not long after I found you guys.

Well, its good to know I'm not the only one with a fuzzy head from

time to time. Remember, we were going to try to sneak in to watch one

of his recording sessions. He said it was okay. And Brice had no clue

who he was." Chase blinks back over to Anana and then comes over to

push it instead. "Yeah. Amefuri. The girl was awfully mopey though. I

gave her a squeeze. You know, to be friendly." And it was a pretty

girl. She looked like she needed it. "Did you know that Brice is

avoiding you guys?"

Anana blinks. "Oh, /right/. I'd forgotten all about that," she says,

grinning suddenly -- though it might be the fact that she doesn't

have to push the snowball around anymore. "It'd be funny to see if

he'd still want to let us in. And you /squeezed/ her? You mean you

hugged her, don't you?" She surveys the beginnings of their fort. "I

didn't know that, but I'm not going to let him avoid us. Might have

something to do with Travis, though. They never did get along." She

balls up another snowball, then glances aside at Chase. "What else do

we need for the fort? We have to smooth the walls a bit, no?"

"Canni cheat in smoothing the walls?" Chase asks, looking at Anana

with his best innocent smile. You know, the one complete with the big

eyes and lifted eyebrows and everything. Gloved hands continue to

smooth out the surrounded fort area of their creation. "That could be

it. Hell, I went to you guys to apologize, one would think he'd have

enough guts to see you all as well. But... being the stubborn guy

that he is. Oh! Guess what. He want me to move into the same building

as him." And if the tone of Chase's voice is any clue, that isn't

going to happen any time soon.

Central Park is becoming Mina's home away from home and so it's with

no surprise that her bundled up figure can be seen making a slow

circuit around one of the many cemented paths.  Her attention is

focused more on the sidewalk before her than on the beauty of her

surroundings, the sun glimmering off the soft whiteness ignored as

she seemingly scours the ground for those nasty ice patches that can

send a body flying with no warning whatsoever.  There's a pack slung

over one shoulder, Mina's bookbag.  Hrm, could she be ditching class?

"Go riiiight ahead. Just watch my feet, all right? I don't want to

get stuck here," Anana says, winking at Chase teasingly. If it saves

her work in the boring stuff of smoothing over the fort, hey, she's

not about to argue. The sooner they can lay in wait for their

unwitting victims, the more fun it'll be. She begins to make a stash

of snowballs, compacting the snow between gloved hands

expertly. "Sorry about the other day. I was... a little freaked out."

And that's all she'll say about it for the moment. "Please tell me

you're not moving in next to him? That'd be really weird, and..."

Pause. Blue hair is almost as distinct as pink around here, and a

slow, impish smile grows upon her face. "Chase? We have our first

target."

Amefuri

Seafoam tresses fall in undulating waves around shy, pixie features

before trickling to an end in the smooth caress of her lower back.

Fey aquamarine irises peer out at the world from beneath a dark

fringe of lashes, managing to look lost and knowing at the same

time.  Petite and lithe, there doesn't seem to be much substance to

her small frame, but as in many cases, appearances can be deceiving.

There is an indication of stubbornness in the tilt of her angled jaw

and the firm set of her generous lips.

Well-worn jeans swath limber limbs in denim so tight that it could be

considered a second skin while a snug sweater skims over her upper

torso in a vain attempt at warmth.  Cowboy boots peek out from the

flared legs of the pants, their dusky leather setting her apart from

the cosmopolitan feel of the city that she now calls her home.  You

can take the girl out of the country, but it seems you can't take the

country out of the girl.

Amefuri appears to be 18 years, 3 months, and 26 days old.

She is awake and looks alert.

Chase snickers, sits up just the slightest to lay his hands upon the

snow of their little snow fort. With the weather the way it is right

now, he hardly has to do anything to create that fine sheen of ice

over the outside of their fort. There. Perfect. Indestructable -well,

unless you get a team of kindergartners to happen by, then it would

be in danger. He flickers Anana a glance askance and smiles

wryly. "Don't. And don't worry about it either. And /no/, I'm not."

Brice would have to drag him kicking and screaming. His head nods

slowly. Yes, screaming girl. *snicker* Head peeps over the edge of

the fort at Mina and he reaches over for one of the snowballs. Yes,

innocent balls of snow. Wait for it... Wait for it... And then he is

tossing it right at Mina.

"Gaaak!"  Mina's ruminations are rather rudely interrupted by a

snowball to the head.  And it's cold!  It takes her a moment to scan

the area for the source of that sniper attack, but the fort's noticed

easily - rather hard to miss - as well as a familiar pink head and

the top of a faded blue baseball cap.  "All right you two," she calls

out as she dashes behind a nearby tree.  "This means war!"  Dropping

her pack, she hastily rolls up a rather miserable excuse for a

snowball and tosses it in retaliation.

Anana nods approvingly at the work done on the fort, handing Tomite

another snowball and picking up one of her own, popping up over the

fort just in time to get half of Mina's snowball in the face. Her

expression is that of comic disbelief as, with her free hand, she

wipes the melting snow out of her eyes and stares at where Mina

went. "That was /such/ a lucky shot!!" she protests, then tosses her

own snowball in the direction of the Byakko. Her aim's good, but

whether or not her /range/ is, well, that has yet to be seen. She's

just going to duck now.

"Score," Chase crows before immediately ducking back down. Sure, Mina

isn't a Suzaku, but she'll definitely do. It was only a matter of

time before a seishi of some breed or another passed by this ambush

point. At the explosion of snow, primarily upon Anana, he bursts into

laugher. Yes, the classic point and laugh. Back to seishi attacking,

two balls are taken up as he watches Mina hide behind a tree. Really

now. Fairly stationary target. You are talking about the boy that can

take out the eye of a turkey at a hundred yards. One ball is aimed

for one side of the tree, the other for the opposite side.

Overconfidence has Mina peeking out around the side of her tree to be

hit with a one-two whallop as Anana's and then Chase's snowballs

hit.  "Hey, no fair," she calls back, disconcerted.  "Two against

one."  She needs to even up the odds.  Concentrating on the snow-

covered branch above the fort, she releases a brief spurt of chi and

a small chimpanzee suddenly appears.  "Jump," she asks the little

semian, who proceeds to do so, hooting and hollering happily.  Watch

out below!

"Oh, we're going to play it that way, are we?" Anana asks, eyeing the

monkey with outright curiosity. Oh, this is going to be fun. Wiping

the last of the snow from her face, she sticks her tongue out briefly

at Chase, then picks up a snowball and tosses it in Mina's direction,

swiftly tossing another at the chimpanzee. "Fine. Chase? We're

playing with powers." And the Genbu have unfair advantages when it

comes to snowball fights with powers. See that evil grin?

Aieeee! Falling snow and simians. What is a seishi to do? Well, that

would be Chase rolling to the side to try to avoid the majority of

the 'avalanche', but more than likely managing to gather up more snow

about him with the roll. Silly boy. He bursts into laugher once more,

more at Anana then anything. The teenager is pushing up, only to

launch over the rim of the fort and stand in the open

ground. "CHARGE!" Spontaneously running in to face an 'opponent'.

Come on. It's Tomite. Of course he is gonna do that. If the ground

wasn't ice before, it is gonna be now. In a flash, there is a fine

sheen of ice crusting over the snow between him and Mina. Run-run-

sliiiiiiiiiide. Right for her. Yeah, laughing the whole time.

Doubling over with laughter, Mina's concentration wavers and the

chimp vanishes just as quickly as he arrived.  "Powers?  Awww, Anana,

I was just-ack!"  Whomp.  Another hit.  And the snow from the

previous attacks has started to melt and run down the inside of her

jacket.  Aurgh.  "Okay, now things are getting serious," she mutters,

balling up another missile to toss in the Genbus' direction.  "Ack!"

There's a mad seishi rushing straight for her!  Pivotting on the ball

of her foot, snowball still in hand, she attempts to run.  But it's

that last slide that undoes her, and down Mina goes face first into

the powder.  "Ooomph!"

Gravity's a force, and having snow dumped on her by a jumping monkey,

of all things, is a threat to not only her dignity, but to her

physically -- being buried isn't fair, after all. Thus, most of it

gets sent off to one side as Anana pulls a face at the monkey, then

giggles helplessly at Tomite's reckless charge. She'll just deal with

the monkey, tossing snowballs at him, while Chase can try to tackle

Mina. The Genbu really do have far too much with snowball fights --

and they cheat, too. Not that Anana can do much about getting the

monkey down from the tree, though -- climbing trees is not her thing,

after all, so she'll just... throw snowballs. Yep. As Mina goes down,

Anana cheers wildly. Pink-haired cheerleader. Fear.

Chase is sliding. Sliding is fun. Extremely fun. He flickers a glance

behind him as the momentum of his slide brings his quickly closer to

Mina. Anana and chimpanzee. Heh. This is definitely one that'll have

to be told to the others, if only for entertainment value alone. But,

yes, back to the matter at hand, or not. Oh, but look, the Byakko is

down, and he is still sliding. Hard to stop when you are sliding. He

reaches the end of his sheet of ice, promptly gets tripped up as feet

meet snow rather unexpectedly, and *WHOOSH* down he goes as well,

rather by accident, and right for Mina. "Ack!"

Mina weakly tosses her snowball at Anana, though from her prone

position it would take a miracle to actually hit the pink-haired

cheerleader.  "Hey, what about some sort of show of sisterhood,

huh?"  Yes, she's trying to form an alliance with the female Genbu.

There's a prickle of warning that shivers along her spine and she

rolls suddenly to the left, scooping up loose powder as she readies

her attack.  Yup, as soon as Chase faceplants, he's going to find

that snow and collars do not mix well.

The snowball that Mina threw doesn't hit, but it does drop like a

stone mid-flight, and with a mischievous laugh, Anana reverses the

Byakko's tactic, redirecting the force into the branches of the tree

above Mina, shaking down snow. But it's at this point that, her

attention distracted, she gets snow dumped down upon her by the

jumping monkey, and her laughter cuts off abruptly. "Cold!!!"

Apparently, some of it got down her collar. You'd think that a

Genbu'd know that yes, snow is cold, but it's an instinctive

reaction. Solution? Get out from under that tree, Anana. She skids

across Chase's ice-path with less finesse than the man, but it sends

her skating towards the pair faster than she could run, leaving the

monkey behind. "Aieeee!" Okay, so control needs to be worked on. She

lands on her butt on the end of the ice with a yelp, well within

range of Mina now.

*FLOOF* A cloud of kicked-up snow rises into the air where Chase

fell, only to slowly settle about him once more. Nice one, duffus. If

the aniki isn't here to say it, he will to himself. Shoulders are

immediately hunching at Mina's snow, and he is rolling over to look

over at her. Well, he was. But then he saw Anana sliding towards

them. And, naturally, a sight like that just begs to be watched. He

sits up, snickering, watching.

Added to Chase's cloud is the snow that rains down thanks to Anana.

Great.  Now Mina's buried under a light dusting of snow.  Her once

blue locks are now as white as Subaru's.  Still, she can't help the

giggles that escape and she curls, holding her stomach.  "Ooh, ooh,"

she gasps out between waves of laughter.  "Stop, stop... I give.

You're killing me here."  Watching the pink-haired teenager slide,

she can't but help laugh harder.  "Oooh, my tummy hurts from laughing

too much!"  What a defeat - undone by the shinnanigans of the Genbu.

She'll never live it down.

Saved by the fact that Mina's laughing too hard to do anything, Anana

pulls another face at Chase. "You're /so/ supportive," she says with

mock severity, faking a sniffle of abandonment before she, too,

begins to giggle helplessly, still sitting on the end of the ice.

What a trio, really -- sitting in Central Park with a monkey likely

howling at them in a tree back a ways. And they don't even have the

excuse of being elementary school kids.

Chase dusts his hands off upon his thighs, chuckling ever more, but

then the laughing comes out as well. When you hear someone else

laughing the way that Mina is, you simply can't help but get drug in

as well. He sniffles once, reaching a hand up to rub over his

eyes. "Genbu prevails again!" Or something. He crawls over to Anana

to wrap an arm around her, "Aw, come on. You know I love you. But...

damn, that was the richest..."

Okay, them's fightin' words.  It's the 'Genbu prevails again' that

has Mina rising to her knees and launching herself at both of the

turtle god's seishi, snow cupped in each hand.  Attempting to

whitewash both at once, she giggles wildly.  "Obviously your daddy

never taught you to beware of false concessions."  Or maybe it's only

in Mina's family where snowball fights are never over until someone

goes racing into the house, screaming.

Anana squeaks as she ducks, waving a hand at the jumping Byakko

and 'nudging' Mina's jump so that, if Chase doesn't duck, he's likely

to wind up with a double-whitewash and maybe an armful of Byakko. The

nearest solid object in this case is... Chase. "Revenge!" she calls

gleefully, balling up a snowball and lobbing it at the pair before

scrambling to her feet... and slipping and falling on her rear end

again. Today, it seems, is not Anana's day for grace. "Ow! Darnit!"

Chase is not known for keeping his big mouth shut, and today is no

exception either. He will eat snow with those words. Yes. "Dad told

me never to hit a girl." Yeah, well... that has pretty much well been

blown out of the water. But he is spitting out snow, falling into the

drift, and simply laying there to look up at the revenge-taking

Mina. "Never trust a Byakko to lay down and give."

Mina's eyes widen slightly as she's nudged off course and she blinks

over at Anana briefly before thudding against Chase.  The jarring

doesn't stop her from gleefully stuffing his face full of snow.  "You

better believe it, buster."  Another whallop of snow has Mina wincing

as she rubs the back of her head.  "Okay girlie," she growls, rolling

off of the other Genbu to stalk Anana.  You can run, but you can't

hiiiiiide.

Anana looks gleeful as Mina thuds against Chase, pointing and

laughing. "You deserved that one, and, eep, who said that was me?"

She's innocent, really. And she's going to try to make a run for

it. "Chase! Stop her! Tackle her! Kiss her! /Something/!" she yelps

as she gets to her feet and starts to skid off again, managing a bit

more control this time, but still slipping from time to time.

Chase isn't the kind of guy to mind at all when girls go thudding

against him. Nope. Even if it is a Byakko with blue hair that he is

in the midst of a snowball fight with. *floof* Yes, back in the snow

he goes before managing to scramble back up. "Hah!" And the boy keeps

on going, pivoting upon his knees to fall forward with hands that are

straining to grab ahold of Mina's ankles before she can scamper after

Anana.

*Whomp*  Down goes Mina face first into the powder.  Drat that double-

team action.  And so the whitewasher gets some of her own

back.  "Ack, ack, lemme goooooo..."  While she twists slightly, one

hand makes a grab for some loose snow that she tosses at the ankle-

grabbing Chase - at least he's not an ankel biter? - as she twists,

propping herself up with the other arm.  "You can run all you want

Anana, but I know where you liiiiive," she calls after the pink

confection.

Anana stops out of range of the older two, sticking her tongue out

again. "Thanks, Chase!" she calls, then begins to giggle again,

standing carefully on the ice. "And you can't get iiiiiiiin to where

I liiiiive!" She takes great delight in drawing out the i's, even if

she's still trying to control her mirth. Another snowball is

halfheartedly lobbed towards the two, unlikely to come near them.

Chase snickers at Mina falls, immediately ducking his head to the

side to try to avoid any more snow going into his face. One can only

have that happen so many times before having to turn away. "She won't

even let me visit where she lives, and I'm practically her brother,"

Chase adds, shooting a glance to Anana, along with the inevitable

sticking-out-the-tongue pose.

True.  Urgh, save her from smart used-to-be chibis.  Mina brightens

as she remembers something, "Ah, but I have Nicholas' number and I

can tell on you," she shoots back quickly.  Of course the other

seishi may not quite fear the Seiryuu, but she bets her right boot

that Anana doesn't want another lecture.  Mina's received her share

of them to know just how long-winded they are.  "Hey Chase," she asks

innocently, trying to tug her ankle out of his grasp.  "Are you

ticklish?"

Anana makes a face at Chase. She's really good at that, even going so

far as to pull at the corners of her mouth before letting her grin

take over again. "Not my rules, and you were over at my house before

my parents moved, so nyah," she points out, then blinks at Mina

before bursting out laughing. "You want to admit to Nicholas that you

lost a snowball fight to me and Chase?" she asks, batting her

eyelashes at the Byakko. "And... what're you going to do to Chase?"

Uhoh.

At Mina's words, Chase is immediately letting go of Mina. "No." Said

that awfully fast, didn't he? But notice now that his arms are most

certainly down at his sides. He is sitting up as well, but still in

that snow. "No, you all just end up over at my place half the time,

eat me out of house and home." Although considering that the last

gathering was at Namame's, there might be a change.

"I'm an innocent victim," she retorts easily.  "I was just walking

along when I got ambushed by you two.  So see, there's nothing else I

could do but retaliate."  Free at last, she debates about going after

the taunting Anana or the oh-so-ticklish Chase.  "Oh, reeeaaally,"

she giggles down at the other teenager, but she decides that Anana

seems safer target.  Rising to a standing position, she sort-of edges

in the Genbu's direction, casting a wary gaze down at her partner in

crime every so often.  Wouldn't do to be foiled again.

"Heeeeey, we brought food the last time we did that, and drinks and

everything," Anana protests, waving her arms wildly to indicate her

indignation at the accusation. "And he's ticklish, Mina, but /he/

started it, not me." What're little sisterly types for if not to

drive their older brothers nuts by embarrassing them? She's entirely

innocent, of course, of any wrongdoing -- just look at her

expression. All that's missing is a battery-operated halo.

Chase draws up to his feet as well, purposely making quite a bit of

noise as he proceeds to try to dust as much of the snow from him as

possible. "That's it. Blame me." Again, nothing new, even if it is

partially true. Can't buck tradition. "Yeah, Mina... but I believe

that you started using your powers first? We were just in it for the

fun." At least he is getting a lot better at not letting all those

shivers  whenever someone not Genbu starts in with the chi distract

him. Every time he is looked at by Mina, the teenager responds with a

broad grin. Look. Innocent. But never all that far from her.

Mina points a questioning finger at herself.  "Me?"  Oh, that's

right, she did start using her powers first.  Still edging towards

the smaller Genbu, she shrugs her shoulders at Anana's words.  Every

good predator knows that once you pick out your prey, you can't get

distracted or you don't succeed.  Step.  Step.  Step.  Blink.  "Hey,

are you following me, Chase?"

Anana is rather aware of Mina's edging towards her, and an amused

look is cast Chase-wards. "Yes, you started that one, Mina," she

replies innocently, mischief lurking in her eyes, but showing nowhere

in her tone. "Aww, Chase, it's /tradition/. You get blamed for

everything, don't you know? We love you dearly, you know it." She's

just going to brace herself to go skidding a different direction,

indeed.

"No." Liar. Chase follows after Mina. He smirks at Anana, "Isn't that

the truth." But,of course, he is chuckling rather softly. After

awhile, one really doesn't mind. Naturally, being something of a

hunter himself, and his own prey being Mina, his gaze is trained upon

her. *pounce* Yes, Mina... you are about to get Chase-pounced.

Mina bunches up her muscles, deciding that she's close enough to

Anana to - "Gaak!"  What is it with Chase and these attacks from

behind?!?  She goes skidding in the snow face first once again.  The

good news is that she goes flying in the direction of Anana, and

therefore she snakes out an arm, hoping to grab the younger seishi.

Hey, if she's going down, she's taking the pink thing with her.  The

other hand goes towards the other Genbu, hand hooked in that 'oh-now-

you're-going-to-be-tickled position that bodes ill for those who are

highly ticklish.

Anana had been expecting something of a move like that from Chase,

but she didn't expect to be dragged down with them! With an outraged

yelp, the pink one goes down as well, landing beside Mina in a spray

of snow. "Arrrgh, more cold! Bad timing, Chase, bad, bad timing!" she

sputters, trying to get snow out of her face. He deserves being

tickled, really, and at this rate, she'll /help/ Mina with it.

The thing with pouncing people, that means you hit the ground as

well. And indeed Chase does, only to be accosted with fingers. Evil!

Evil Amefuri! "Ack! Back, I say! Ho.... Hah! Stop!" Mina is instantly

release as he rolls away and right on up to his feet, /away/ from the

girls. Good. Safe distance. "Well, it is your fault for being such a

tempting target, shorty."

Having succeeded on one attack, Mina moves to retaliate the second

pouncing.  Very undignified it was.  Chase is just as bad as Tigger.

Rising, Mina follows him to his feet and charges, ticklers at the

ready.  "Oh no, boy-o," she grins evilly.  "You don't get to make the

calls anymore."  What a trio they make, the pink Genbu sputtering in

the snow while the Byakko seishi chases the other around the park.

Just how fast can Chase run?  *repose*

Anana gets indignantly to her feet -- she deals with with standing on

snow, if not on ice -- and simply glares at Chase, an expression akin

to the most stubborn of Hatsui-looks. She'll just chase after Mina

and the other Genbu now, yes. "I am not a tempt... wait, never mind."

Ooh, it makes her more annoyed than ever that she can't refute being

a tempting target /or/ being short.

Chase can run pretty durn fast when chased. And he takes this moment

to try to dance out of the way of Mina and her own 'attack'. Must

stay out of the way of the woman's fingers. And now Anana?

Sheesh. "Back!" Girls. This is definitely a situation that calls for

more ice. He is skittering back, but not before conjuring up a bit

more of the pretty cold stuff in his wake at an uneven rate. All the

better to hinder them. Finding that slick skating ice from before,

she is scampering over towards it.

As fun as it is to chase Chase - apt name that - Mina finds it much

more fun to watch him run away from the pink thing.  And so she just

strolls back to the tree, giggling as she picks up her pack.  Really,

where's a camera when she needs one.  "Ja ne," she calls, slinging

her bag up onto her back and hastily heads in the other direction,

before they can ambush her again.

Amefuri goes home.

Skid, skid, thud. "Oyyyyy!!" Anana calls, picking herself up from the

snow again and pouting at Chase. "Mean!" She's just going to stand

where she is now and grumble under her breath and try not to whine as

Mina abandons her pursuit, and she knows full well that she can't

catch up to Tomite. "Chicken!"

Chase turns back around, ready to bellow out some ultimatum or great

battle cry at Mina. Mouth opens... but she is gone. Awww man. Sneaky

Byakko. He offers a smirk to Anana, "Call my Suzaku and I'd be even

more effective, shorty." He stops though, running out of steam. A

blink and then a chuckle, "Think Hiroshi will fine you so cute with

your hair looking like that?"

Anana blinks at Chase, then laughs softly. "I think the thing with

Suzaku is that they're courageous in insane ways," she replies,

trekking across the snow towards Chase. "Not that they're chickens.

Different thing entirely. I mean, we're not slow, and yet our god's a

turtle." The comment about Hiroshi draws a grin. "He and I are just

friends."

"Uh-huh..." Chase adds, giving her a slow smile. He returns back to

the ice fort to begin the task in trying to unearth his pack. After a

bit, he finally finds it, shouldering the strap. "Are you going to be

okay getting home, or do you want me to walk with you? I'm meeting

Brice later today."

"No, really," Anana says honestly, shrugging. "I love him dearly.

It's just... not the right sort of thing, you know? And I'll be fine.

Go home and get hot chocolate." And, with that and a quick, damp hug,

she trots off towards the street to catch a cab.
