Logfile from Chase.

Mandarin Plaza - 1502

It looks like an average two bedroom apartment. The furniture is second-hand, and the overall impression is somewhat shabby, with the exception of the shotgun/rifle collection hanging up on the far wall.  Pretty boring place, really, but there's a TV and some game consoles, at least

Lexie is here.

Morning comes, this time.  And yet again, Lexie is waking up with a strange seishi in her arms.  Well, don't that just beat all?  Except, well, she's just goshdarn comfortable snuggled up to him. She remembers the events of the night before, fondly no less, and doesn't terribly miss her clothes.  Yes, the miko is getting dagerously attached to having a Genbu snuggletoy.  It can only end badly. But for now.. She's going to pretend to be asleep for a while longer.  *halo*

Mmmmmmmm. Snuggling. Chase isn't at all against a little snuggling, or a lot. Nope, not at all. Especially when it involves a certain miko. Amazingly enough, the teenager has been awake for a little bit now, although it is the sort of awake that still leaves a person hazy and very, very reluctant to rouse completely. One arm curls over her back, while his other hand plays idly in her hair. Content once again.

Lexie can't embarras him if he likes it, so she finally gives up the act, making a small noise of contentment at the back of her throat as she leans into his touch.  "Gods.. Won't you stick around forever?  Going to bed without you here, it's just not the same. " She murmurs, nuzzling against him.  "I don't know what you do to me, but I like it.  We could run off to Vegas."

Chase is blinking at the noise, coming a bit more awake. Throat clears and he is looking down to her, just a little chagrined and showing it with the hesitant grin. "I think I've spent the night more here then I have back where I'm supposed to be, you know?" He'd have chuckled, but when she goes and begins nuzzling, all he can do is murmur softly under his breath, "Oh, well, if you keep doing things like that, I'd probably go anywhere with you."

Lexie chuckles softly, leaning up to kiss along his jaw.  "Well, I'm probably not supposed to host sleepovers with the enemy either.  I know, I'm sorry, I'm asking too much.  But when I'm with you, I forget about all the bad stuff.  You don't judge me, belittle me, or treat me differently.  Feels like I can be a person around you.  And I really do like having you around. I'm sorry, Chase. I'm probably using you, like that."  She pulls up the blanket to waist level, exhaling against his chest. "Want anything for breakfast? It's bittersweet when you go, I'm finding."

Chase mmmms softly, turning his head to the side as the attention is given to his jaw. He listens quietly to her, hand smoothing over the woman's back as she speaks, sliding down to the small of it. "If I'm being used Lexie, I can't think of a better way for you to do it -and still enjoy every bit. Feel free to use me as much as you want." He leans over, giving her a kiss to the crown of her head before adding, "Don't worry about breakfast. I'll make you eggs for something, as soon as I get up." He isn't getting up right now though.

Lexie beams wickedly, reaching around the back of his head to pull him into a kiss. "Ah, tempt not a Yin.. For you never know what they'll do with a blank check.   But allright, it sounds good."  She kisses along his neck after that, forgetting breakfast entirely.  "Hey, you know, Chase.. I don't know much about you, other than yer a consumate country boy who's up here going to school. What're yer dreams in life?"

Chase is pleased. Oh yes. He'd purr if he was so inclined. Instead he just rumbles deep in his throat, wrapping both arms tight about her back with a bit of a squeezing hug. "Ohhhhh, I'm boring as hell. Not much to me at all. Dreams? Hell, I dunno. I don't plan that far ahead, that's for everyone else. I just... my dream?" He sighs softly, "Just enjoy every day, I suppose. I don't know. Sheesh, don't ask me the hard questions."

Lexie grins, pulling the covers over their heads. "Oh?" She asks, grinning in the sudden darkness.  "I don't think you're dull. I think you're exciting.  And very, very weird." She teases, hands roving down his sides. "Wanna go out, catch a movie or something, wander around, have some fun? I won't ask hard questions if you distract me."

Chase snickers. Not quite an evil snicker, but one that is rather upon the brink of being very, very naughty. "Only you can make calling me wierd, sexy as hell." But the hands down the side cause him to hitch, gasping in a breath. He pushes her over, rolling so that their positions are now reversed and he has the upper hand, or... well, you know. "Fun is good." He leans down, gives her nose a lick, and smiles.

Lexie slyly grins, reaching over to pinch his nose.  "Oho?  Well, I'll take your word for it, sweetheart.  Allright, uncle.  You win.  So it's your call.. What's fun?" She queries, beaming. "It's all you.  My day's open."

Chase wrinkles said nose after the pinching. "Sweetheart," he echoes, eyes crinkling in the corners to go with his smile. He gives her a long and deep kiss, savoring it for a moment. But then he is sitting up, tossing the sheet off and to the side. Yikes! Cold! "Well, we could take pot shots at the people that come out of one of the crack houses over by the docks? Or I could drag you out to an arcade and whoop you soundly. Or we could have a rousing game of tag in the park... so many decisions."

Lexie grins slyly. "You'd have to put on some clothes, sweetheart.  Anyways, I'm good for whatever."  She sits up and slips out of the bed, searching for her shirt.  "Just hang out with me for a while and I'll be happy."

Chase sighs, dramatically. "Clothes. Yeah, I suppose I don't want people to stare." He draws off of the bed as well, spending a moment in wonder and consideration as he looks for his clothes. Fingers reach up to rub though his hair as he looks, and then finally finds them over to the side. "And a happy Lexie is a very good thing. I'll aim to please."

Well, an unhappy Lexie shoots people-- The problem with being the bad guy.  "Well, I could show off." She teases, grinning.  "But yes. If you went nude, I think they'd throw the lot of us in jail. At any rate, I'm still keeping your ball-cap.  So let's get to the pleasin' and not worry about other stuff, huh? It's your pick, today."

And Chase is in absolutely no mood to get tossed into jail. That's just a mood downer if ever there was one. Pants are sighted and pulled on and shirt is haphazardly pulled over his head. "Do you know how much my hair gets ruffled now that I don't have a hat to cover this." Fingers rake through his dark hair once more for example. "Its like I've become a puppy or something." Next come the socks and shoes. "You're gonna make me decide?"

Lexie laughs, fishing around in her closet.  "Hey, hey, hold the phone.." She murmurs, pulling out a ballcap of her own, with the 'Sanso's' logo. "I have yours. Why don't you borrow mine?" She asks, handing it over.  "I like your hair like that, though.  But yeah.. You have to make the decision. It's your turn. Where are we going?"

Chase ooohs. Hey, a hat. He reaches for it, smile rather bemused. "Hey. Nice. Thank you." He bestows a smooch on her cheek and then settles it upon his head, only to turn the bill to the back. He takes a moment to stretch, reaching his arms up, and then he is back to looking at her. "Inside or outside?"

Lexie shrugs nonchalantly. "Outside. Let's go for a walk. Need clean socks?" She asks, rummaging in the drawer. "Anyways, yeah, you lead wherever. I'm just glad to spend some time enjoying myself for a change without shooting anyone. We could do our own parody of Gone in Sixty Seconds and see how many cars we could hotwire." She teases, pulling on a sweatshirt.

Chase smiles and shakes his head from side to side. "I'm fine." He makes a final tie to his shoes and then is moving to stand once more. He watches her as she rummages, smiling warming as he waits. "Never hotwired anything before. Sounds fun. Kind of... exciting. Could get me into all kinds of trouble. I like it."

Lexie beams. "Boy, I could corrupt you, if you weren't already there.  You want to get into some trouble?  I'm sure we can find a nice car and take it for a joyride, leave it near wherever we're going.  The normal rules don't apply.  If you're up for it, I'll show you how.."  She tugs on her own shoes, beaming.

"I'm not against some good honest fun, or not so honest," Chase replies, shrugging his shoulders with negligence. "'Bout ready yet?" He rocks from heel to toe, hands pushed into the pockets of his pants, eyes slinking over to look out the window. "Show me how to hotwire a car? That'd be useful." There is something of an excited gleam to his eye.

Lexie grins wickedly. "Oh, that's bad, to want to know that. But yeah, I'll show you. C'mon.  Time for you to learn the ropes. Back in the prosperous days, the garage was a chop-shop at times.  I think I'm ready to go. You sure you're up to this wickedness? I thought you where a good boy, hmmm..?"

"Aaaaah. Shut up," Chase admonishes, clamping both hands over his ears. "Don't ask me if I'm sure. Lets just do it. Second guessing is for people with sensibilities. I don't have those." But he is brightening with a smile afterwards. "Come on." He is abruptly reaching for her arm to try to drag her off. "You think too much."

Lexie laughs at the thought. "Me, think?  Well, if you say so." She teases, jogging out with him and locking the door behind her.  "Allright. Name a kind of car and we'll hit it.  Benz?  Pontiac?  Puegot?  You can find anything in New York. And I know how to break into and hotwire /everything/."

Chase is shrugging his shoulders. "Uhm. Something with four tires, can go relatively fast and has air bags just in case. Oh. And a good stereo system. Priorities, you know." He is chuckling, "Maybe a swank Lexis. Or the first nice-looking piece we come across? I'll trust your judgment on this one."

Lexie chuckles, gesturing him to the closet.  "Here, then. Grab a sweatshirt with the hood, just in case. Inconspicuous, anyways.  And your hair is distinctive.  We'll go somewhere away from here.. You know the saying, right? You don't shit in your own nest, to put it crassly. We'll take a short joyride and ditch it. Put on some of these driving gloves so we don't leave behind prints.." She opens another drawer, grinning.

Logfile from Chase.

Canal Street - Western End

Stores are crammed into the streets, flush against each other, with barely any room between to breathe. And many of them are merely storefronts, small shops where a wide selection of watches, ladies' purses and NYC tourist t-shirts are sold. It's a tourist trap avenue, with every storeowner shouting his/her lowest prices to the passers-by, assuring them of the highest calibre of item and the promise that they cannot find a lower price. At least not at the sake of losing quality, of course.

Interspersed between them are the fish markets, the catch of the day still flopping about in their wooden crates as loud bantering goes on in Chinese, the buyer trying to bring the price down while the seller tries to keep it high enough for his tastes. A busy avenue, to say the least.

Lexie is here.

Obvious exits:

Broadway (NO)   Canal St. (EA)   Lafayette St. (SO)

Chase is bedecked in the proverbial hooded sweatshirt, that actually was his once upon a time, but found now and in Lexie's closet. Next time they do this, he must remember to bring out his urban hunter clothes: dark, plenty of pockets, and utterly and completely forgettable. He moves along with Lexie, footsteps absolutely silent as per usual. The teenager isn't speaking, but he is humming some tune or another heard on the radio earlier. But he is quickly changing his tune, turning it into some rather pathetic inconspicuous whistling. He slants her a glance, amusement present.

Lexie grins over at him-- Herself, she's dressed in similarly nondescript clothing. A black v-neck tee-shirt, kahki cargo pants, combat boots, and his ballcap.. Backwards, of course, and her hair in a casual ponytail.  Looking plain helps her in instances like these, even though she happily hums 'Girl all the badguys want', fishing in a cargo pocket. "Okay, here's how it goes. Look at the shop windows.. The reflections will show you which cars you want to see, and nobody'll notice you for gawking. Once we pick it out, then getting it unlocked is the next order. I use an air wedge and an S-tool to get into about anything. Anti-theft systems are a joke. When you run a towtruck service and unlock cars for a living, you quickly learn how to get around most of them.  So tell me what we're after, sweetheart."

Chase drops his chin, and then nods his head in understanding as she speaks. "Gotcha. Although seeing as I've no clue what the hell an air wedge is or an S-tool, I'll have to take your word for it." Tongue clucks once and then a smile is breaking out over his features at the endearment, slanting her another look. "If this miko thing doesn't work out for you, you could always try a job as a repo man." Although this reflection thing is kind of keen, and he makes a mental note to use that next time he's got a job. "Something fairly swank. And speedy. Leather seats. Moonroof. Anti-lock..." He could have gone on forever, but that reflection thing seems to pay off and it is a four-door sedan with some fairly slick lines that captures his attention. Looks new too. Newly washed. "How about that? Or do you want something more sporty?"

Lexie rubs her hands together, grinning in the reflection of a deli. "BMWs are too popular, but I can spot a Lexus 31-S over there.. All the options, even a sunroof.  Most of them have fake leather seats, or pleather as we call 'em in the business..  Letsee.." She leans forward, pretending to adjust her nonexistant makeup in the window.  "Looks like it's pewter in color, I'm guessing it's an '02.. Good eye, not too conspicuous.  And easy to get into.  You know, it's ironic. The fancier the car, the easier they are to crack. So, want to go for it?  We can drive out to Jersey and abandon her somewhere interesting, give the cops a run for their money."  She pulls on her driving gloves-- Prints just won't do.

Chase waits patiently as she looks, arm moving over to rest lightly around her waist. He smiles faintly, looking back down at her, "Well, I'm damn glad I'm out here doing this with a woman that obviously knows what she is about, down to the pleather seats." Shoulders shrug negligently, "More than works for me." And then comes the smile once more. "Oh. Road trip. Nice." Noting her putting on the gloves, he frowns for a moment and puts on some as well.

Lexie leans in for a quiet kiss, grinning wickedly.  "One of these days I'll tell you about that time I got drunk and woke up in Maryland with an unfamilliar tractor trailor.  I don't think I've ever been more confused. Then again, it's a tossup. Here, look casual."  She wanders confidently over to the vehicle, leaning on it casually as she speaks to him. "Look like you belong here.  People never remember you that way.  "

Chase turns around, following her with darkening eyes. "Is it just me, or do all the really good stories somehow always have the word 'drunk' involved in them?" So, while she leans against the car, he is going to lean up against her for a moment to give her a return kiss. Casual. Yeah... Another smooch to her jaw before he slides away by moving back a step, not lifting his gaze from her. Still, he mutters softly, "There's someone walking on the other side of the street. Wait a moment."

Lexie nods slowly, reaching out just like a casual lover who's unconcerned with whose car they're leaning against. "Allright." She murmurs quietly, slipping up next to him.  "Well, that'd be because my life sucks. The majority of it has been spent working, in the military, or in jail.    Maybe I'll end up an alcoholic like my old man.  Wouldn't that be ironic?"  She leans closer, kissing his ear. "But you, you make me forget stuff like that.  If being a miko doesn't work out, what do I have left? You make me forget questions like that, Chase."

And how is Chase supposed to remain alert under these conditions? She is asking far, far too much from him. His smile is faint, turning his head at the kiss to his ear only to do the very same to her. "You won't end up like him. You're too smart not to, and you'll learn from his mistakes." Head drops to nuzzle her neck, even as he watches across the way, "And you'll have plenty. You sure as hell don't need me to remind you of that." He waits a moment, and then replies softly, "It's clear now."

Lexie slips a small plastic square between the insulation and window, pushing the bulb to inflate the gap.  "I can tell myself that, but I still don't believe it, sometimes. Am I smart? Seems everything I do is stupid.  Being Yin no miko.. Well.. I guess it's a final hurrah, trying to make a difference after a squandered lifetime.  Anyways, how sure of that are you?  I don't have anything.  Not to sound like I'm moping, but trust me, it's true." She slips a small wire, in a 'S' shape, down the gap, and casually pops the auto-locks. "We're in. Now to get her goin'.  It's easy with a Lexus."

Chase continues to keep an eye and ear out for any passers-by. "Yeah, who the hell am I to try to convince you that you are nothing without being a miko? Just like I'm nothing if I didn't have this seishi thing going for me. I'll remember that." There is a touch of a bite to his voice, before he is easing his words once more, "Sorry. Lets not argue self-worth, eh? Not when we've got this magnificent automobile which is more than worthy of your... gentle touch." Gloved hand slides along the roof of the car, but his eyes are watching elsewhere.

Lexie looks away, opening the door and ducking under the console. "These ones have computer chips in the keys, so another key won't work in the car. Lucky for us, we're not doing that." She murmurs, tone ashen.  "....And yeah. We may as well.  You're so much more than a seishi. But you have no reason to believe me.  Maybe someday you'll understand.  Ah, here. You want to drive her? Shouldn't take but a few moments to get her running. And I think you deserve the honor.

Chase leans back against the car, diligently making sure they don't get any unexpected visitors. "I'd kiss you quiet if I didn't know you were already too busy trying to get this thing running," he adds, his voice low. He flickers a glance down, watching as she does whatever she does. "'Bout ready yet? Car just turned down this street... and how about you drive her out of here, and I'll switch off later. After all, you're doing all the work."

Lexie manages to get the car running within moments; She's one of the best mechanics in New York, that's why!  She gestures him in, hopping into the driver's seat. "Suit yourself.  Allright then, let's go.  Just look normal and witnesses won't remember you later.  We can switch off later." She murmurs, with a slight grin.  "And you can kiss me quiet then."

Chase closes the door after her, trusting that she unlocked the others because he is climbing in through the back. He doesn't quite stifle a snicker, of both excitement and at her words. The teenager is clambering between the seats to sit up in front with her, giving the woman a nudge. "Lets go!"

Lexie peals off, burning rubber.  How about that? She's a crazy driver, but she knows her stuff.

Chase is pushing open the door of the apartment as soon as she is unlocking it, the grin upon his face absolutely gigantic. He can't seem to help the snickers, clearly a product of their little bit of adrenaline rush from earlier. His fingers are curled in the sleeve of her sweetshirt, tugging her within. "Ohhhhh, I want to do that again. But this time... maybe get chased by the cops. Its got to be a whole lot more fun in a car than on foot."

Lexie laughs, allowing herself to be tugged inside. "Hey, while we might get away, if we get caught.. They'll ship you off to juvie and me to jail.  Fun is fun, but let's not tempt fate, sweetheart." She comments, slipping an arm around his waist. "I've been trying to go straight for years now. God, I missed the thrill of it all.  Life is good."

Chase chuckles. "Ohhhh, but half the fun is in the escape. There is something to be said about a good chase." Uhm. Yeah. And the smile that results after his words is nothing short of beaming. "Ah well. I suppose I'll just have to go authority taunting another time. Yes, the adrenaline was good."

Lexie grins herself- He's contageous, like that.  "Glad you enjoyed it.  You're such a bad influence! Or maybe I am.  Then again, who cares?"  She's honestly relieved they didn't get caught.. Generally, the police would love the chance to lock her away.  "You were great, though. Could be a pro if you put your mind to it. What now?""

"Oh yeah. Sure, it isn't hunting Kutoese in the middle of a snow storm, but it definitely had its good points," Chase remarks, drawing a step away from her. Sweatshirt is pulled over and tossed onto a chair. The back of his thighs press against the arm of her couch and he simply falls back to flop upon it, legs dangling over that edge. "Yeah, pro car thief. Aniki would love that. He already thinks I'm a thug."

Lexie shrugs, popping open a can of soda.  "Well, it's risky and he'd hate it, sure.  But what good is life if you can't do something you love, no matter what it is?  I guess you won't need any careers like being a car theif once you get that fancy degree of yours."  She flops down on one of the armchairs, stretching out lazily.

Chase stares up at the ceiling, chuckling, "Exactly. That is exactly my point. You've got that perfect, Lex." Arms moves around to pillow behind his head, his smile more along the lines of being a grin than the beam from before. "You... you can't live unless you're having fun, doing what you love to do, and tempting death while you are at it. Now /that/ is something." Wistful sigh, "Ah, the hell with some degree. You know..." He turns his head to look at her, "I almost thought of applying at the FBI academy. But things being what they are, being away from the city would be bad."

Lexie lights up a cigarette, glancing up at the ceiling.  "It's not like it looks, Chase.  I have an idea of responsibility. You don't last as long as I did in the Marines without some ability towards discipline. I just.. Well, I got tired of it.  I can be true to myself, because nobody else is.  But I won't say it's as happy as you make it out to be."  She looks down to regard him, thoughtfully.  "I didn't join the Yin to have fun.  And I did very willingly join, you know.  I joined because I had one dream left, and that was making a difference.  I won't preach at you, but I'll just say you may as well finish what you start. That's what I'm doing.

Chase grins faintly, still watching her, "No, I didn't think that you did. Sure, I don't know squat about what it takes to become a Yin no miko, or what you had to do or any of that stuff. That's your own thing, and telling a seishi that might not be the best thing in the world for you to do, so I won't ask." He sighs softly, getting more comfortable, "Finish what you start, eh? That almost sounds defeatist the way you say it like that. You've got to believe in it as well, Lex. You've got to have... not just responsibility, but honor as well."

Lexie grins wryly, standing and walking over to sit next to him.  "It's pretty simple, really. They called to me.  I heard, and I obeyed.  I didn't know what would happen, or even the full scheme of my goals.  But I do have honor, Chase. Not the kind the seishi, or even the oni, would understand.  But my own honor.  I'm in this, and even if I might not believe in everything we do, or even like all the oni.. I still /do/ believe in it. I believe in the fact that the world can't continue on with the Yin locked up. By the same token, I don't know what'll happen when we release them. Sooner or later, the stalemate will wear off.  Sooner or later I'll summon at least one of them.  Miaka tells me I may be consumed, but I'm okay with that. As long as I get to make the difference I want.  That's what I mean when I say seeing things to the finish. Because things need to finish.  I don't want to be reborn a few thousand years from now to do it again, like the seishi.  I think people should only live once.  Maybe we might not do the right things, in the grand scheme of things, but that's being alive. You spend your lifetime, your single lifetime, and the only thing that can make it valuable is to follow your heart."

Chase shifts as she comes over, moving to lay his head upon her thigh. Miko pillow. "No, Lexie. I can tell you've got honor. I've watched you, and even though we haven't really known each other all that long, I can tell." He sighs softly, looking to the ceiling once again, "Its not like I planned to be reborn again. I did what I had to do for as long as I had to do it. Duty demanded that I do. And duty is demanding that I had to come back, and I'll do it all again."

Lexie reaches down to stroke his hair affectionately, with a wry smile.  "Ah, but now you're using the word duty, Chase.  Do you believe in what you're doing too?  I know you think the world of your family, but I've yet to meet a Yang seishi who knows why they're really doing what they're doing.  This is going to get ugly and bloody, honor or not, no matter how we look at it.  And as much as I adore your presence, isn't spending time with me going against the grain of duty? Or is it what you believe?  Maybe I like you so much because you're as lost as I am, sometimes." She leans down to kiss his forehead tenderly.

Chase sighs softly, eyes flickering closed at the hand in his hair, "I don't know what I believe in, Lexie, if you want to bring religion into it. I believe in that I would do anything for them, and I'll do anything for those that I care about. For the innocents. Those that are beyond this fight. If I've got something to believe in, it is them, I suppose." His eyes open back up at the kiss, smile soft, "Because I'm fraternizing with a Yin? I don't know. I like you, Lexie, a lot -and that isn't any secret, except to the rest, because I know very well how they will react. But my reasoning is, as long as it doesn't interfere with my duty, then it is fine. What about you?"

Lexie chuckles, a low, throaty sound. "Me?  I think you might just comprimise my duty, which according to the last directive we got, is to fight the Yang. I think I'm a bad example to the oni, when we already have major problems with fraternizing, and after you left the first night I told myself I wouldn't see you anymore."  She draws her fingers along his cheek, gently.  "...I've realized since then, that I'm pretty weak when it comes to matters of the heart, as much as I try to be strong.  You're a weakness for me, but I'd hate to see you go.  There's a substantial part of me that wishes you'd stay.  Since Kai, I haven't been able to feel that way about anyone.  And there's none of the pain from that, when you're around.  You're handsome amnesia.  I can forget all the scathing remarks, and heartache, and headache.  You make me happy, but I'm also very aware that I'm using you unfairly.  So I won't hold it against you when you go."

Chase smiles back up at her, "A weakness, eh? I'm not sure what to think of that. Seeing you weak isn't exactly something that comes easily to the mind, Lexie, but I think I understand what you are talking about." He reaches a hand over to take her's, pulling it from his cheek and instead pressing it to his chest, his hand remaining over it. "I don't plan on leaving any time soon, Lexie. And while you seem to bring out the more... reckless side of me, challenge me, if I can help you to forget about everything else that is going on, then I'll be happy to do that. I don't like to see you worried. It'll eat you up."

Lexie looks tenuously pleased, and suspiciously glassy-eyed. "You'd want me anyways, even with all my blatant emotional baggage?" She asks, voice very quiet.  "You'd really let me be just a woman for you, and not the enemy miko?  You'd even help me forget Kai?  ...If it's true, you must be a saint."  Yet, her hand turns to squeeze his, and she hesitantly smiles.  "It's already eating me up. Has been for years. I guess I'm a worrier underneath the bravado.  And maybe a cynic; I find it hard to believe you'd really stay.. For me."

Chase frowns back up at her, "Hey, Lex. You're fun, and you are one of the few people that seem to... well, that seem to get along with how I am, and don't try to change me or lock me up or give me The Look. And..." He trails off for a moment, considering, "I'm not a saint. Far from it. I suppose I've got more in common with you then I've got with a lot of people. And you are a good person, no matter how much you try to come off as a hard ass bitch. You don't need to play like that around me, okay?"

Lexie just grins sheepishly and scoots around to snuggle up to him, contentedly. "You're crazy. But I think I'm really attached to you." She murmurs, closing her eyes and exhaling.  "Allright. I'll try to drop the act.  But I'm kinda worried, you know. Maybe if you really knew me, you wouldn't like me anymore.  I've done some pretty bad things. Killed people, broken laws, the whole nine yards."

Chase sits up a little to aid in the ease of the snuggle, smile making another appearance, "Of course I'm crazy, but I'm not the only one here." He draws his arm around her, fingers slipping under her shirt to find contact with skin and brush her side lightly. "I've killed in this body, as with my other one." Very delicate interpretation there to keep a certain book world out of things. "I've broke plenty of laws as well. It all depends on the reasons."

Lexie grins guiltily, burying her face against his chest without further ado.  "Well, I won't argue it with you, to be sure.  I like having you around.  You sure you won't let me introduce you to the oni as my boyfriend? I think it'd be hillarious, you know." She teases, rather practiced at snuggling up and conforming to him by this point.  "Although I've been pretty good lately. Been a whole two weeks since I shot someone."

Chase seems almost to wince at that idea, "Well, considering my last couple of experiences with oni didn't go all that well. You know..." His hand pats at his face, actually dots at it. "And then the time Reese nearly killed me, but besides that... I'm sure the rest really are a fine bunch." Sarcasm. Sarcasm. Sarcasm. "Maybe with me keeping you occupied, you're bound to stay... good." Blink. "Wait, you've shot someone that recently?"

Lexie rubs at her chin, abashed. "Yeah. Gouka. The one who tried to rape Reese, remember? I don't take in-house conflicts.. Very well, as it were." She grins a bit wryly. "You're surprised. I don't blame you.  But yes, she's the one who gave you the acne.  I'm sure if I explained things to her, Reese would leave you alone." Her version of 'explaining' is anything but 'good', though.

"I'd rather like to feather, Gouka. She might make for some fun target practice. I don't get to bring out the bow every day around here," Chase remarks softly. At the mention of Reese yet again, he seems to almost squirm. "Uhm. Well, no matter she seemed to like taking my blood and threatened to blackmail me, I was actually planning on apologizing to her for that mess and sending her some flowers, but I've since been distracted. It's no problem." He seems almost embarrassed at that.

Lexie grins over at him, eyes alight with challenge. "You're not afraid of her, are you?  It's bad form to avoid women. And yes, I know you attacked first. I heard all about it way back when.  She's actually one of the nicest oni, though.  I'm sure she'd forgive you. You're too likable. Ah, but I'll stop making you uncomfortable.  You don't need someone to pick at you. I guess it's just habit for me to be critical."

Chase is rolling his eyes, smirking just as well, "No, I'm not afraid of her. And I can more than give her a run for her money, if she just promises to not kiss me again." And again. And again. That was just as unnerving at the blood whip. "Saa, I get enough picking back at home, without you on me now, woman. I'll look her up when I look her up. So be good."

Lexie laughs delightedly, kissing him soundly. "Wheras from me, they're okay. Ah, but I'm never good! Allright, I'll lay off, if you'll give me some quality kisses, here. Best way to shut me up, you know.  I'll even be good and not tell any of the oni that I have a seishi boyfriend." She teases, jogging her eyebrows.  "Now, I could go for some picking of your clothing.."

Chase chuckles, nodding his head with great vigor, "The hell with okay. Your kisses are /much/ better than simply okay, Lex." He rolls his eyes and leans in to give her another kiss, smiling against her lips, "You trying to seduce me? Because you are damn good at doing it, pumpkin." Yep, simply had to add that one in there.

Lexie positively beams, snagging him by the belt-loops of his trousers and yanking him into a thurough, passionate kiss, as the first order of business. When she's finally satisfied, she pulls away slightly, with a sly smile, and intones, "Sweetheart, coming from you, I'd belive that the moon was purple.  But I really do think you'd better make love to me soon, or I might just go crazy."  These two certainly will never lack a sex life.

Chase's eyes flash open at the belt-loop thing, before he is lost in her kiss. He groans deep in his throat before finally finding some words, "But I like you crazy." He leans over to give her a toothy nip to her ear before speaking softly from there, "Still... I think making love to you could be just as..."

Lexie sticks out her tongue at him.  "I can do both.  Just spend the night again, that's all.  Why don't we move to my room?  this could look akward if Rathan miraculously came home, and such. And I don''t know how much longer I can keep my hands off of you. You drive me mad." She murmurs, throaty voice close to his own ear. "It'll be my turn to cook tomorrow."

Chase's eyes go half-lidded at her murmur. It should be illegal that she can do things like that. "The bedroom it is. Your roommate can find somewhere else to get a peep show if he wants it." He reluctantly slips from her arms, moving from the couch. But just as soon as his feet hit the ground, he is reaching for Lexie again, arms moving around her waist to literally pick her up and into his arms once more to carry her off.

Lexie isn't much like a bloodthirsty badguy when she's squealing happily that way.  Hell, it's probably the first time anyone has ever done anything like this for her since childhood, even though she's pretty petite.  "O-Oi! Haha, allright, allright, I'll allow you to spoil me. But you'd better be careful, mister. I just might get used to this good treatment." She teases, leaning against his chest happily.
