Logfile from Chase.

120 E. Houston Brownstone-#4

There have been some additions to the once barren room.  There's a new mattress up against the far wall with new bedding.  An oriental rug covers the scratch marks that Toroki's left on the wooden floor, and there are dishes and a new mini-fridge in the kitchenette area.  There's an old vintage trunk at the foot of the bed that holds spare bedding and Mina's clothing.  Underneath the window that faces south is a pile of borrowed library and textbooks as well as a couple of notebooks and stray papers arranged in a slightly chaotic fashion.  The door to the bathroom faces the window on the north wall, usually firmly closed.

Amefuri is here.

Obvious exits:

Out

There is the banging upon the door. You know, typical Chase knocking upon a door. She is probably used to the rhythm of the sound by now to know who it is. He is standing just without, a manilla envelope in one hand and a bag in the other.

Mina does indeed know the knock and it has her rising from her bed, blinking drowsily.  She'd fallen asleep reading.  Rubbing at her eyes blearily as she opens the door, she stares up at the Genbu.  "Anou... Chase-kun?"  Stepping back from the door, she gestures the other seishi inside.  "Is anything wrong?"  Why else would he be visiting at this hour?  "Is it Anana?  Or your miko... Ash, was it?"  Any number of reasons could bring the other teenager pounding at her door, none of them good.  Grabbing for her coat, she prepares to leave.  "You can let me know on the way, ne?"

Chase lifts the envelope, prepared to begin on the harangue, only to blink at her sleepy appearance, and then blink some more at her words and coat-grabbing. Hand drops and he follows her within, setting the envelope upon a flat surface nearby and then reaching for her hand. "Oh. No. Nothing like that... Mina, did I wake you?"

Sleep still befuddles Mina's brain as she blinks towards Chase, returning her coat to it's hanger.  "Anou... then why are you here?"  She suppresses a yawn and nods her head, "Hai, I must've fallen asleep reading."  And then she's flushing and running to hide the book under her pillow, because she knows that he's going to tease her about it.  "But it's not important."  Brushing back a tousled lock of blue hair, she peers up at the Genbu and then the envelope.  "And what's in the envelope?  A present?"  Her face brightens as she settles on her bed and stares at the other seishi expectantly.

Will the torture never end? A tousled Mina... now on her bed. Whimper. Chase takes a moment to clear his throat, closing the door behind him and locking it. He licks his lips before following after her, remember to grab the wide envelope as he does so. "Didn't mean to wake you up. Didn't expect you to be sleeping now. Busy day? Or really boring book?" He flickers a glance to the pillow before looking back to her, "I've got a present for you, but this isn't it." Envelope is waved before being tossed across to her. The envelope bears the return address of the Orlando Bloom Fan Club, and within is all kinds of useless information on the guy, including a rather suggestive black and white picture from the torso, chest and head.

Shaking her head, Mina grins up at the Genbu.  "Quite the opposite, really.  It was a terribly slow day and somehow doing nothing always makes me tired."  As for the book, she's flushing again.  "Not boring necessarily, just predictable."  And yet it doesn't keep her from reading the stories like the addict that she is.  As he flickers his gaze towards the pillow, she scooches over and just sits on it, trying to look as innocent as possible.  That is until the envelope is tossed at her.  Reading the return address, she starts giggling, which erupts into full blown laughter as she pulls out the typical fan pages.  "At least he didn't sign it 'With Love' Chase-kun?"  And now she'll fall over onto her side and just continue giggling with glee.  Oh, if only she could have been there to see his face.  Or Inami's, if Kenny was the one to pick up the mail that day.

And no, Chase did not pick up the mail. Actually, Kenny hadn't either and it wasn't until about an hour ago that he finally came home to get it -much to his annoyance. The teenager kicks off his shoes, and then actually climbs up onto the bed with the giggling girl, on his hands and knees, bag's straps still held in one hand. He scowls across to her, "Glad you think this is amusing. You realize that they send out a newsletter once a month? A /newsletter/!"

Mina can't help it, the fact that there's a newsletter has her laughing once again, tears actually coming to her eyes.  "No more, no more," she begs, waving a hand towards the other seishi.  "My tummy's hurting as is."  And it takes her a good couple of minutes to compose herself and sit up, wiping at her eyes.  Arranging herself so that she's sitting indian style, she can't help but chuckle now and again.  "Anou... you deserved it, Chase-kun."  And she feels that the score's been settled for the chilled bra.  Darned embarrassing, because more than a few men's eyes drifted downwards.  "And if you ever try to freeze my clothing again, you'll get more of the like," she adds with a sniff, looking down her nose at the seishi crawling on her bed.

Chase will sit back, kneeling upon her bed as he patiently waits for Mina to stop with the laughing. He takes a moment to glance down at his wristwatch, and then back to her with a distinct lack of amusement. "Obviously, I have you to blame for this. My mailcarrier is going to think I'm some kind of perverted fanboy, and if Kenny sees this stuff..." He'll never live it down. "Evil woman." But the smug smile shows, "Serves you right. Next time I'll go lower." But he tosses the bag at her, grin softening. "Open it up."

Eep.  Mina didn't mean to admit fault.  But it's too late now.  "Anou, you are a hentai," she replies, because it must be mentioned.  And oooh, she's hoping Kenny's getting a good look at the newsletters.  With all the hearts and half-naked pictures of Orlando Bloom in them.  Heeheehee.  She has to visibly make the attempt to stop giggling again.  "Lower?"  She growls the question.  "Don't even think it, Chase-kun, or I shall have to revert to drastic measures."  And Mina and drastic measures are a rather scary combination.  Catching the bag, she blinks up at the seishi as she slowly opens it, peering into it curiously.  She was kidding about the present, but if he's going to be giving her one, she won't complain.

"Damn, Mina-girl. I really wish you would stop calling me that. This from the girl who /started/ by sticking things under my clothes," Chase scowls, collapsing over to lay on his side beside her. Neck lifts a little so he can look into the bag and then up to her, "Picked that up /before/ I got my mail today. If I had see this garbage I'd have probably just given you lint or something." And what is in the bag, but a fuzzy brown thing. Well, actually it is more than that. Once pulled out, it is a plushy, a /weasel/ plushy at that, complete with the rich furry coat, glassy eyes and little whiskers on the felt nose. "Seeing as you seem to like them -or like to hear me screaming because of one of them..."

"Awww!  Kawaii!  He's sooo cute!"  And yes, she's gushing over the stuffed animal.  Cuddling him close, she frowns at the Genbu and pokes at his shoulder, "Only you would take weasels under the clothing as an invitation.  It's meant to be a punishment."  Shaking her head, she just rolls her eyes and mutters something about men and hormones.  But then she returns her attention back to the plushie, still delighted in her present.  "I'll call him Chase, after you," she teases the other seishi, leaning back against the wall and spreading out her legs.  "Arigato, Chase-kun," she murmurs happily, leaning down to place a peck on the other teenager's cheek.

Chase continues to watch her expectantly, flickering a glance between the present and Mina with a touch of apprehension. Smile goes briefly smug at her reaction, only to smirk at her 'punishment' words. He gives her a poke on the thigh, "/Under/ the clothing. Anyone would take that as an invitation." Especially if it involves a warm and fuzzy critter that tickles. But, it is about now where he wishes he was that cuddled plushie. Sometimes, a guy just has to envy an inanimate object like that. And as she leans in with puckered lips, the teenager is going to have to be awfully quick to try to turn his head so that it isn't a cheek she is greeted with but his own lips. Bad, bad Chase.

Mina didn't mean to kiss Chase, but as he turns his head at the last moment, that's indeed what she ends up doing.  Flushing bright red, she quickly breaks off the contact, her eyes wide with apprehension.  "Anou... gomen ne, Chase-kun," she apologizes profusely.  She hasn't realized that he turned his head on purpose, she believes that it was just bad timing that led to the awkward situation.  "I didn't... I didn't meant to kiss you."  And now she'll drop her gaze to the little weasel as she tries to overcome her embarrassment.  Trying to get back the teasing mood, she pokes him again.  "Well, it's not much of a punishment over the clothing.  And I don't think anyone would take that as an invitation.  I wouldn't," she adds with a sniff.  Darn it, is she still blushing?

Chase is looking smug once more, until she is apologizing again. "Oh... for the love of... would you stop that." The poke given to him is given right back to her, index finger jabbing at her side before giving a bit of a wiggle. "No? But I meant to kiss you." Yes, spoken unapologetically. And he is not going to get off of this subject. Not quite so easily. "One of these times though, our kissing is going to have to be a /lot/ longer.  You sure don't give a guy much to go on with all of these quick kisses, makes me wonder actually..."

Wiggling at the finger tickle because Chase plays dirty, Mina's distracted enough not to hear him fully.  And then what he's saying sinks in.  And then she's hopping off the bed, weasel clutched to her chest as if it would somehow protect her.  "Anou... I don't think it's safe for it to be longer, Chase," she whispers.  And no matter how curious she is, she tamps down on the curiosity to study the Genbu, lying there on her bed.  She's really going to have to get chairs or something.  Blinking down at the other seishi, she frowns as it suddenly hits her, "It's the wondering that has you hooked, ne?  Just like seeing Miaka stripped down.  Once you've seen it, you no longer wonder."  Cocking her head at the other teenager, she asks, "So if I kiss you again, you'll know, ne?  And you won't be curious anymore."  Oh the muddled thinking that is Mina.

Chase shifts as she is suddenly bolting off of the bed, but he reaches over for her pillow to fold it under his head watching her. "Not safe for you, I suppose... Not safe for me either," he muses, gaze lifting to the ceiling. But, eventually, his attention tracks back to her, smile faintly confused as he blinks across to her. Must be careful what he says now. Treading into some very precarious waters here. "Of course I wonder," he comments. "How could I not wonder? But... I don't know if it is exactly as simple as all of that, Mina. Could be possible though?" He watches her silently.

Mina is acking and pouncing for the bed to retrieve her book as Chase steals her pillow.  Hiding it behind her back, she finds herself suddenly close to the Genbu as she cocks her head, debating.  "Anou... you admit that it's not safe as well."  Licking her lips, she leans forward until she's hovering just above the other seishi.  Lifting her stormy bluey-green gaze to study him, she breathes in and out nervously, her indecisive breath caressing his skin in soft pants.  "What could it hurt," she murmurs quietly before leaning down to touch her lips gently to his, the contact chaste but more prolonged than any of their other encounters.

Chase totally forgot about the pillow, he really has other things on his mind right now. Namely Mina. He bounces slightly as he pounces onto the bed, causing the thing to shake and provoking a chuckle of amusement from him. But as she leans closer to him, he watches her with careful attention, and a touch of awe that she is actually considering doing this. At her words though, that provokes a faint grin, which is what greets her when she kisses him. He lifts up a hand thought to slide over her shoulder and slip to the back of her neck to try to keep her close, but not force the issue should she lean back once again. And while her kiss might be chaste, his lips are actually going to move against her's, encouraging. Ooooooh boy. That's twice she kissed him, and in one night. He's way impressed, but that isn't exactly registering right now. Maybe later though.

The book that Mina was holding thuds to the floor, as does the stuffed animal that the other seishi brought over, and though she meant to keep the contact light, Chase's encouragement has her lashes fluttering down as she lets herself be drawn in, lets the kiss deepen, her hands moving to brace her as they're planted on either side of the Genbu's head.  The contact sends shivers running up and down her spine and it's fear that has her backing off once again.  Breaking the contact, she moves skittishly to sit on the edge of the bed, her confused gaze seeking out the sea green eyes of the other teenager.  She knew that she was attracted to him, but she had no idea that what she felt was so electric.  She'd thought that she only felt those feelings with Rathan, and now she's more confused than when she'd started.  Nibbling her lower lip, she looks decidely frightened as she asks, "Anou... now you've had your curiousity satisfied, ne?"

Chase's lips and head follow after Mina as she pulls away until the contact simply is impossible. And so, he is left to lay there, sitting up some as he stares after the young woman, his own eyes half-lidded as he peers through the fringe of his dark hair to her. He takes a moment to try to steady his breathing, licking his lips afterwards as he watches her. "Actually, I think that just made me want more..." he answers, still watching her. Eventually, he does sit up more, smiling just the faintest to her.

"More?"  That has Mina licking her lips nervously as she stares at the other seishi.  "Demo... you'd said that it was just curiousity, ne?  I... Chase-kun... I can't give you more," she whispers softly, her eyes shimmering with regret.  Her breathing's still ragged, her cheeks flushed from something other than embarrassment.  And she can't go running out, because darn it, this is her apartment.  And the small room's suddenly feeling smaller as she watches the young man laying on her bed.  She'd meant to help, and instead made things worse.  Again.  Baka, baka seishi.

"I didn't exactly say that anything would be satisfied, Mina," Chase adds, giving her a wry grin. He slips off of her bed though, leaning down to replace his shoes. He moves over, scooping up the weasel plushie, only to drop it into her lap as he passes by. Notice that he leaves the Orlando Bloom stuff as well. "And I'm not going to ask for more, at least not right now." He moves as if to give her a squeeze to the shoulder as he continues to the door. "Sorry I woke you, but I think it was well worth it, don't you?" He unlocks it and turns the knob, glancing back to her, "I'll be seeing you again. No doubt." A moment. "That was really, really good." And then his voice picks up, "Bye, Mina!" And with that, he leaves.

Mina restrains the impulse to fling the stuffed weasel after Chase.  She's not going to be sleeping easy tonight.  And darn it, he left his fanclub mail at her place, too.  Which mean's she's going to have to give it back or have her revenge fall short because she's a chicken.  She's betting he did it on purpose.  But there's also a flush of pleasure at his words, something that she'll deny until the end of her days, because he liked the kiss as much as she did.  And yeah, that thought's going to be keeping her up too.
