Logfile from Chase.

Broadway Arcade

The building appears slender at the entrance, but it spans three floors, each with the second and third floors opening up further in the back. Just inside the entrance, there is a counter which is lined up against the metal stairway leading to the first floor, where one can purchase a token card. Instead of quarters, one uses a paper game card in the games to play. Several large, sand racer games from "The Phantom Menace" movie.

The second floor boasts of a variety of games, including several versions of DDR, several versions of fighting games, a few classic games like PacMan and Galagala, and some new-fangled games involving actual ducking and twisting in order to avoid being shot. Intersparsed between the videogames are prize games, where one can try to fish out a stuffed animal or a CD, and a few instant photo booths for making those strips of three pictures in a matter of minutes.

Sayuri likes thrills, that she does, thus she's playing the scary undead game 'House of the Undead II'.  And she's not screaming like the girl on the date with the guy playing at the game next to her.  No, she's kicking ass.  Well, at least not doing to badly.  "Shinee!"  Eyes narrowed and focused on the walking zombies, she flicks the gun frequently to reload.

And who should breeze through the door of the place than Chase. Yes, Chase. It could be that little feeling of a certain somebody's presence in the area. It could have been that he was planning on wasting some money here anyway. But, here he is. Cup of some soft drink or another in hand, he sips through the straw while meandering and weaving his way towards Say, inevitably. "To your left," he prompts, because... well, there is probably an undead thing over there about to get her.

And now Sayuri does jump, because she's been so caught up in the game, she didn't even realize that Chase was there, much less approaching her.  "Tomi-kun," she scolds as her character dies on the screen, blood dripping down it.  "Give a girl a little notice now and again."  But then she's turning towards him, leaning against the game and smiling ferally.  "Didn't think I'd be seeing you so soon.  What brings you out and about tonight?"

Chase blinks after her, smiling faintly. "Oooooh. Died there. I tried to tell you..." Yes, a touch of scolding in his voice, but teasing scolding at that. "No? I'm hurt, Say, that you would think so poor of me. Funny how we keep meeting up like this though." Or maybe not all that much actually. "Mostly the fact that I tried to call you at home and didn't get ahold of you, so I figured I'd just go out and loiter somewhere."

"Died because you distracted me, Tomi-kun," Sayuri lays the blame directed at the sei's feet.  "I had it well in hand."  Sure, she did.  "Demo, it's fine, I don't really like the creepy zombie things anyway."  And she'll just roll her eyes at the scolding.  "Hurt?"  And now she'll just smirk, reaching up to pat Chase on the cheek.  "Aren't you just the cutest thing."  Her mien turns serious as she admits, "Anou, you don't have my home number, just the one for my cell phone.  And I left it at home today."  Perhaps on purpose.  "Demo, why were you calling me?  Did you want to steal another car?"  There's laughter that dances in the depths of her dark eyes.  "Or some other adventure planned for us."

Chase shrugs his shoulders at her. "Yeah, blame it on distraction. Any shooter knows that you need to dismiss all potential distractions and focus upon your target. Remember this well, grasshopper." And so he'll counter the cheek pat with a tap to her nose. But he'll actually burst into laugher though at her mentioning of stealing another car. "Ohhh ho, what is this? I'm supposed to be the one to help you get your excitement fix now? Obviously you didn't have any other plan for the evening?"

Sayuri snaps her teeth, rearing back and biting at the air just in front of the Genbu's finger as he taps it on her nose.  Light flickers in her eyes as she studies Chase before shaking her head.  "So you won't be my... what do they call it here?  My crack dealer?"  And now she'll mock pout.  "Pity, perhaps I should go elsewhere, ne?"  Dropping her hand to rest against the gory design of the game's casing, she tilts her head to the side, "Obviously?  Perhaps I did have plans but I'm willing to bump them for you."

Chase is chuckling once more, mostly at that bite attempt. And so, the Genbu is going to advance upon her, taking another sip from the straw of his drink before lower his hand, coming ever closer. "I'm already someone else's dealer. You saying that I've got to be yours as well? Don't any of you people know where to go to get your fixes... then again, I kinda like that you come to me for them." Sly grin ensues. "For me? I'm touched."

Sayuri presses back, eyes just daring Chase to come closer, until her back bumps up against the game.  Arching her brow, she blinks, "Somebody else's dealer of a good time, Tomi-chan?  Then I shall indeed have to seek my thrills elsewhere, ne?  I don't want to infringe on another woman's territory."  Forget that she might have considered this during the infamous car heist.  "Pity, rather liked your brand of excitement."  And then she's turning her head away, hair curtaining her profile, hiding it from view.  "Don't get used to it, I can't afford to spend all my free time with you."  And then she turns her face back to him, laughter dancing in her eyes.  "Unless you make it worth my while."

"No need to worry. I deal her something else then what you are interested in from me," Chase replies, watching her with a touch of curiosity and quite a bit of amusement. He leans around her though to set the cup on some surface or another and brace the palm of that hand against the machine she is leaning against. "Oh, you know I'm worth your while. Sayuri." He ducks his head down a little to peer into those laughing eyes of her to simply grin.

"Who's worried," Sayuri shrugs a shoulder at the seishi, giving him a bland look.  But then Chase is leaning around her, and she can't help but move her head forward infinitesimally and nip at his exposed neck, just above his jugular vein.  And then she's attempting to look innocent, smiling up into his sea-green eyes.  "Hai, perhaps... demo..."  And now she makes a moue of forgetfulness, "Why were you worth my while again?"  And then her features turn upwards in wicked delight.  "That's right, you look good in a fuku."

Chase continues to watch her with smiling eyes, again chuckling in the back of his throat. "Nah, I suppose not." He draws in a slow breath at that nip, releasing it just as slowly. The 'forgetful' voice earns an odd quirk from him... until she mentions the fuku. D'oh. Okay, now he'll groan, quite the agonized groan at that as he head falls forward as if to rest his forehead against her shoulder. "You just had to mention the fuku." Mutter. "About that picture..."

"Pictures," Sayuri corrects, raising a hand to run it through the seishi's dark hair, the silky strands slipping easily through her fingers.  "Don't worry, I promised I wouldn't show them to anyone you know, ne?"  But she's not giving them up, either.  They turned out better than she expected.  In truth, Chase is disturbingly photogenic.  "So... what is it that you had in mind for this evening?"  And now she'll turn her head slightly to whisper warmly in his ear, "Something exciting, I hope."

"Pictures?" She managed to get more than one? Alright, that is awfully disturbing, especially considering the subject matter. Chase draws in another breath, turning his head to the side to press an open-mouthed kiss to her neck. He finally draws his head back up though, smiling across to her. "I hadn't a single plan. But, I suppose, if we put our heads together, we could come up with something."

Shivering in response to the kiss, Sayuri closes her eyes.  "Mrrhm?"  Oh right, she's got to think here.  "I can come up with a lot of things, most of them involving you naked," she sallies a return.  "Demo, perhaps we should do something safer, ne?"  And now she'll study the seishi before asking, "Anou... have you ever seen Breakfast at Tiffanys?  Remember the scene in the five and dime store?"  Yeah, she's suggesting what he thinks she is.  How does Chase feel about a little innocent thievery?

Well, at least she isn't imagining him in a fuku, right? That is definitely a good thing. Chase's smile deepens at her response though but he is going to arch an eyebrow and echo, "Safer?" He will glance away though, shooting a brief glance to one of the games next to them before shaking his head from side to side. "Never seen it. Show me?"

Sayuri

Darkness shadows Sayuri, from the inky blackness of her hair that cascades down to her shoulders to the dusky porcelain tips of her toes.  Warm mahogany peers out at the world from beneath a soft fringe of dark lashes, the delicate almond shape of each eye tipping upwards at their far corners.  Taller than most Asians, she stands at an average 5'5 in her bare feet, although her leather boots add an extra two inches to her height.  There's nothing about her features that makes her stand out from other Asian girls, but there's a danger that dances in the depths of her irises, a challenge in her defiant stance or devil-may-care swagger.

Soft cotton in pastel pink skims over her soft curves, a small smiling Hello Kitty centered right below the collar adding to the girlishness of the tee.  Casual white shorts skim to mid-thigh, their elegant line adding to the femininity of the whole ensemble.  White ankle socks are folded down while stylish wingtip shoes complete the look.  All in all, a carefree Japanese girl dressed in one of her favorite summer outfits.

Sayuri appears to be 16 years, 8 months, and 19 days old.

She is sleeping.

"First, let me lay out some ground rules," Sayuri flashes a grin.  "We're going to get each other something from the dollar store down the street, Tomi-chan.  Something of a momento for each of us.  It has to be something that we think the other person would like.  Demo, here's the kicker, you can't pay for it."  Yes, she's suggesting what he thinks she's suggesting.  "You pay for it, you lose.  You get caught, you're on your own."  And now her eyes will flash with challenge.  "You in, little boy, or are you too scared?"

There are so many grins flying around here, half of which look rather feral -and on both of their parts. And so Chase is grinning at her explanation, head tilting a little to the side with curiosity. His gaze shifts away for a moment as if he is going to study the pictures on the screen of a game near them, and then he finally nods his head. "Sure. And no, I'm not, little girl."

"Good!"  And then Sayuri's grabbing at Chase's hand to tug him out of the arcade and down to the gaudy dollar store, it's neon sign flashing tiredly, trying to lure customers and tourists into its crammed depths.  "Right, I'll let you go first, Tomi-chan.  Just to make sure you've got the general idea."  Okay, she really just wants to see what he'd pick out for her, or perhaps look at his reaction as he passes the eclectic junk that litters the shelves and crams the aisles.

Chase is suddenly having to catch up as he is pulled, scampering initially to keep pace with her. A hasty grab nets him his half-full cup of pop though, because it'd be a shame if he left that behind. As they arrive at the store though, he squints through the window and then peers back at her. Yeah, junk. But junk well used by a college student. "Yeah... I've got an eye on some clothespins for you. They've got to have a pack." He shoots her a broad grin and then moves to slip through the door, holding it open for her as well.

"Clothespins?"  Sayuri arches an eyebrow, perhaps a warning that if that's what he's getting her, he's going to regret it later.  And then she's walking breezily through the door, heading down the first aisle after shooting a smile to the cashier/owner.  "Surely you can do better than clothespins, Tomi-chan.  I might think you're unimaginative if that's what you end up getting me.  And I would hate to have an unimaginative lover.  Doesn't bode well for the future, ne?"  While she talks, she strolls done the aisle, picking up various knick-knacks.  She comes across a turtle-shaped soap dish, holding it up to show the Genbu seishi.  And look, it's even got a pink bow on the left side of its head.

Chase rolls his eyes after her, ignoring the cashier instead. "No? Salt and pepper shakers?" And before he can say anything further that cashier is piping up 'Aisle Three.' The guy blinks, shoots a glance back to the person behind the counter and then nods his head as if that was exactly what he was after. "Originality... she wants originality," he mutters under his breath, making his way down the aisle only to peer at the turtle. "Hey, Ash might like that. Lemme see." And he'll reach for the soapdish, smiling.

Lucius comes into the area from elsewhere.

Sayuri giggles at the cashier's helpful piping as she elbows Chase in the side.  "She likes you.  You should ask her out."  Forget that she's fortyish and smokes like a chimney.  The girl and the seishi are making their way up and down the cramped aisles of a dollar store just down the street from the Broadway Arcade.  "If you want, I can give her your number before we leave."  And then she's winking, dancing to the left to avoid any pokes or tickles.  Handing over the greenish soapdish to the Genbu, she continues down the aisle, smirking as she's come across the perfect thing.  A small, innocuous white button that claims: Bare Naked Archery - We know how to use our shafts.  She flashes it towards him with a satisfied smirk, and then she's stepping around the Genbu, slipping it into her short's pocket.  "Your turn, little boy."

Chase looks a the turtle soapdish a little longer, grin rather apparent. Wouldn't that look quaint sitting on Ash and Brice's bathroom sink? This is definitely a must have. Got to love the pink bow. "Thank you, but I'd like to think that I could get a date all on my own merits, Say. But I appreciate the sentiment." Instead of the tickle or poke, he is going to pick up a set of four foam coasters, each with a suit of cards on them and toss them at her. "Nice," he drawls at the sight of the button, smirking. He'll turn away though, heading towards the kiddie-toys section.

"Iie, you're too shy to get your own dates," Sayuri counters with a laugh, dodging the foam coasters and tsking.  "Look at the mess that you made, Tomi-chan.  You should clean up, after all, she may like you, but I doubt she wants to pick up after you all the time."  Now that she has her button, she saunters towards the entrance, smiling again at the cashier and winking in Chase's direction, mouthing 'He's free' before she heads out the door.  Propping herself against the window, she sticks her hands in her pockets, and just loiters, waiting for the other teenager.

Chase chuckles, glancing after Say as she starts to leave. He shakes his head from side to side, not calling after her, but instead turning his attention back to the shelves and all of the cheap kid's toys upon it. Crouching down, he seems to sift through a basket of one specific toy, eventually picking something out and as he is rising to his feet his hand is slipping into a pocket. The boy makes his way back to the counter, setting down the turtle soapdish, plunking down his money, and commenting to the woman at the counter. "She's got this thing for turtles." Of course, the woman responds with a 'You are old enough to be my son.' A few startled blinks later, the soapdish in a plastic bag, and he is following after Say.

A well-dressed businessman is strolling down the sidewalk, heading towards the store entrance.  Passing less than half a foot from where the young woman is lounging against the doorframe, he pauses long enough to assess the woman with his startling green gaze.  A slight shake of his head and a faint frown express disappointment over something before he continues his progress, entering the dollar store and almost colliding with the young man making his exit.  "Pardon," the middle-aged gentleman says with a strange not-quite-British accent as he steps backwards onto the sidewalk again to let Chase pass.

Rocking on her heels, Sayuri awaits impatiently for the Genbu inside.  She only vaguely notes the businessman's presence, that is until he pauses to assess her.  And find her lacking.  "Hrmph," she turns up her nose, rolling her eyes and turning her face away.  As Chase makes his way out of the store, she arches an eyebrow at the bag.  "Anou... you weren't supposed to buy it, remember, Tomi-chan?"  Hands still in her pockets, she pushes up off the window and starts back towards the arcade, pulling out the button and flicking it over her shoulder towards the seishi.  "Here, this is yours.  Wear it with pride."

Chase scampers out the door, eyes and senses already searching for where Say has gotten off too only to suddenly find himself facing another person. The teenager deftly slips around the other man, delving a hand into one pocket at his pats. "Excuse me... I didn't, doubter." His hand comes back up, tossing something through the air once more at her. Flashy, red, chrome, with wheels, and only about an inch long. "Don't say I never took you out to steal a car again." Wonder if she'll have the same response.

One eyebrow arches sharply as the older man's eyes follow the trajectory of the tiny car.  His lips quirk in what might be a hint of a smile, quickly erased, as he continues standing just outside the store, ostensibly to smooth out his suitcoat after the near run-in with the teenagers, but truly to give him a moment longer to examine both of the youths quite carefully.

Sayuri reaches up to deftly catch the small sports car, her eyes widening slightly and then she's laughing.  Sauntering over towards the Genbu, she wraps her arms around his neck, standing on tiptoe to reward him with a light kiss.  "All right, you win.  Hrm... what do you win?"  And she'll tilt her head to the side, as if to consider, but she stares over at the business man with a rather curious look.  "Don't look now, lover, but we may have company."  She doesn't have the Genbu's chi sense, but she has enough self-preservation for the small hairs at the nape of her neck to rise and have her skin tingle when she's being watched.  And she's been in enough rough situations to listen to her body's natural instincts.

Chase's face lights up at her laughing, grin widening in response. He really doesn't hear her laugh all that much, so this has got to be a rare treat. Button in his palm is given a rueful look, especially as he tries to remember if he ever did tell her about the archery stuff. But that is washed completely from his mind as he is being kissed. One arm slinks around her waist, a suggestion as to what would be a good prize forming on his lips, only to fall into silence. "Dammit," he mutters, sighing heavily. "Looking at us... you know... I /was/ trying to ignore him." Or the buzz. Definitely the buzz.

Nodding towards the couple in acknowledgement of their notice, the man turns back towards the entrance of the shop and begins to step through the doorway again.  This time he doesn't almost collide with anyone, but he does pause again to kneel down in the doorway itself, leaning over to pick something up from the floor just inside the entryway.  Quickly he stands and steps out onto the sidewalk yet again, casting his gaze back towards the couple.  "Pardon again, but did one of you drop this?"  He's holding a coin towards the pair, roughly the size of a quarter, but it gleams golden rather than silver.

Chase got all snippy at her in Penguin Village about archery versus melee fighting, so of course Sayuri remembers his little predilection towards the bow and arrow.  "Know him, Tomi-chan,"  she asks, voice lowered for the seishi's ears only.  Removing her arms from about the Genbu's neck, she turns a curious glance towards the business man, one eyebrow arching at the golden coin.  "Iie, I didn't, but perhaps Chase-kun here did."  She studies him thoughtfully, her thoughts hidden between the genki Japanese girl appearance that she maintains on the surface.  Nope, no hard-hearted prowler here.  She's all soft and mushy, see?

About as soft and mushy as a preying mantis. Chase doesn't even flicker a glance at Say as she starts shifting personality once again. Instead, he'll finally turn about and look at the other man with the faintest of hints of annoyance. "These people just pop up like weeds," he mutters. Not that he considers Say a weed or anything. Maybe wild rhubarb. The coin is eyed curiously though before his gaze slips back over to the unfamiliar man, "I don't think so... but you never know."

"You'd remember if you did lose it," the man comments in a cultured voice.  "It looks like..."  He holds it up higher to get a closer look at it.  "...a kruggerand.  Odd coin to find just laying around.  If it belongs to neither of you, then it seems today is my lucky day."  He flicks the coin into the air and catches it.  Or tries to, but it slips from his grasp and falls to the sidewalk with a clink, rolling on its edge towards the two teens.

You know what female preying mantis do to their mates, ne, Chase-kun?  "Kruggerand?"  Sayuri eyes the man curiously as she bends down to pick up the rolling coin, lifting it up to the sunlight to study it curiously.  Palming it again, she smiles over at the older gentleman, but doesn't offer to return the coin, asking instead, "Tell me more about these kruggerands."  And then she's leaning back against the seishi, eyes narrowing slightly.  "And why finding one makes you a lucky man."  Well, okay, a rather rude genki Japanese girl.  Today must be an off day.

Exactly, Sayuri. And he would not be at all surprised if such was his fate as well. Chase actually looks rather clueless at the name of the coin, shrugging his shoulders. "Sorry. Dunno, guy. Why don't you..." But then the coin is dropped and Sayuri is picking it up, immediately provoking a scowl from him. An arm draws around Sayuri as if reaching for the hand that holds the coin, "Why don't you just give it back to the man and we can be on our way." And the evening was going so well too -'til they were interrupted.

"You don't know what a kruggerand is?  I forget how sheltered you young Americans are."  The man takes a couple of strides towards the two, but stops while still out of arm's reach.  "It's a South African coin.  Gold.  Unless my memory is faulty, that is a half-ounce coin."  He extends one hand towards Sayuri.  "I don't keep track of the current value of gold, but it is likely worth nearly $200 in U.S. currency.  So if you'd please..."

Sayuri was going to give the coin back, indeed she was.  But then Chase starts prompting her as if she was an unruly child, which provokes an opposite response from the girl than the one desired.  She fists her hand, twisting it away from the seishi's grasp.  "I'm not an American," she informs the man with a rather haughty look.  "Demo, I won't hold the comment against you.  I'll just keep the coin instead.  Two hundred dollars?  Paltry sum, demo I suppose I need new shoes."  Some day Chase may learn how to control her, but right now he just aggravated her contrariness.

Chase would sigh and look all aggrieved right about now and leave her to fight with this guy over some coin, but, dammit, things were going just fine 'til now, so now he'll simply look really annoyed. "That's it... tell her it is worth a little more than a peso. That won't get it back now." He draws a step back though, shrugging his shoulders, "You two figure this out now. I'll go sit over there. Oh, Say... he is a chi user." And that is exactly what he is going to do, move over to sit on the curb, rest forearms upon his knees and fiddle with the button.

Lucius's brow furrows in mild frustration.  "Acquiring paltry items from a store without paying is one thing, young lady, but absconding with a coin of such value is quite another.  Both you and the young man have already disavowed ownership, so please return it."  The hand is still extended.  At the man's comment about chi use, however, he hand is curled into a fist and slowly withdrawn, frustration fading away, to be replaced by curiosity.  "I do not believe I am familiar with that term, young man.  Is it a title?  Or an insult?"

Shooting Chase a betrayed look, she resists the urge to try to kosh him on the head again.  That is until he mentions that the man's a chi user.  She will deal with the seishi later, oh yeah, she's not a happy girl.  Flicking the coin back towards the businessman, she smiles sweetly.  "Seems like you may need it more than me, ne?"  And then she'll stand back, watching for the Genbu's response to the man's question, her eyes curious.  "Anou Chase-kun, I wasn't going to keep it for the money.  It was the principle of the matter, ne?"  And now she'll cross her arms over her chest and frown.  "Demo, I learned a lot about how things stand."

Chase could do without further head injuries, thank you. His brains are addled enough as it is. Isn't the fact that he'll steal cars for Say enough proof of that? He looks back over to Lucius, quirking the man a glance. Either that guy is playing dumb or seriously clueless. "Depends on what you term as an insult." Because some of those chi users out there really are insulting. "Just pointing out something, power-user." But he is pretty much well keeping to sitting on the curb though, squinting over to Say with a sigh and an arched eyebrow. Yep, a skeptic.

Lucius catches the coin, stares at it for a moment, then tosses it back.  With a shrug, he comments, "Maybe you really should keep it after all.  Take your friend here out for dinner on me.  I prefer money that does not attract much attention, but that coin is likely to raise a few eyebrows at the corner grocery store."  He then inclines his head respectifully towards both of them.  "And now I had better be going if I do not wish to be late for my next meeting.  Perhaps I shall run into the both of you again, to find out exactly what you mean by those comments, young man."  He then pivots and strolls away, back in the direction he had originally come from.

Sayuri sidles over to Chase and pokes at his back with her foot.  Poke.  Pokepoke.  "I saw that skeptical look, little boy.  It's never about the money with me."  But then the business man is tossing the coin back at her and she catches it deftly.  "Arigato gozaimas," she bows towards the other man before holding it playfully in front of the seishi's face.  "I just made $200, Chase-kun.  While you just sat there on your rump.  Don't you feel idle and useless now?"  Gentle, caring thing, isn't she?

Chase smirks after Lucius for a moment, his dark brows coming down momentarily. Head swings to the side, looking at the coin in Say's hand with an even darker frown before he finally lifts his head to look up at her, "No, just the principle then. But yeah.. I suppose I miss out a lot when I'm just sitting on my ass. Thanks."

As Lucius moves out of view, Sayuri's mien turns serious.  "And if this said chi user started kicking my ass in the middle of the street, would you have just as casually sat on the curb, Tomi-chan?"  She stuffs the coin in her pocket as well, and there's a soft *clank* as it taps gently against the plastic side of the toy car.  "A girl's got to stick up for her principles," she adds on a sigh, moving to sit down on the curb next to the seishi.  "Life's not always all about fun and games, ne?"  There's a wealth of hidden meaning in those words.

"You honestly think I would have just sat there and let him try that? First off, I know for a fact that you can hold your own and then you would have chewed my ass for even thinking differently. Secondly, you should know damn well that I wouldn't just sit here. I'd like to think that you would think a little bit more of me then that, Say, but you seemed so intent on ignoring me before that..." Chase shakes his head from side to side, holding a hand out. "Going to let me check out that coin or not?"

"I didn't..."  Sayuri turns her head away and sighs.  "All right, perhaps I did, Tomi-chan.  Demo, I'm not used to this whole relationship thing.  I don't want to seem soft because of my feelings for you," she admits ruefully.  "You're becoming my weak spot, and although I know this, I don't want anyone else to."  She's got an image to maintain.  "Especially anyone that I could be fighting."  She pulls out the coin again and studies it thoughtfully.  "I don't like that man, he gives me the peeps."  All these weird idioms.  She hands over it over easily, adding with a shrug, "Keep the kruggerand, consider it your prize for winning our little game."

"Creeps," Chase corrects without a second thought. He will glance askance to her, frown deepening until is slowly begins to ease away with apparently some conclusion or another. He'll sigh though, leaning to the side to give her a nudge of consolation. "Trust me, you aren't soft. I figured that one out long ago, but... it doesn't hurt though if you do... soften up a little now and again. But, that's you." And he'll shrug his shoulders, hand taking the coin and it is then when that frown comes back with a vengeance. "That's what I thought..."

Now Sayuri'll lean against the seishi, returning his nudge with a bump of her own.  "You know just the things to say to me, Tomi-chan."  Only this girl would be happy about not being called soft.  "And I soften up around you, ne?"  Which freaks her out, sometimes.  Blinking as Chase takes the coin, she leans over to look at it again.  "What did you think?  What's wrong with the coin?  It's not real, is it?"  Ah well, you get what you pay for.  "Gomen, Tomi-chan, perhaps I'll have to think of another prize for the winner."

Chase continues to scowl at the coin for a moment, feeling the faint hint of chi about it still. He shakes his head from side to side though, glancing back over to her, "I really don't know. But do be a favor though? I don't know if that guy was talking through his ass and trying to pull something over on us or not, but if you see him again, be a little bit more careful? Never know with chi users." And following that, he'll give her quite the challenging grin. In the next breath though, it softens and he attempts to draw an arm over her shoulders, "I like your soft spots."

"Hai, I'll be more careful," Sayuri agrees, trying not to let the weirdness of having Chase caution her show.  She's not used to anyone caring enough to warn her about things, people just assume that she can take care of herself.  "That's another chi user in the city though, ne?  There are so many of it, it almost seems like a gathering of energy."  She'll soften against him as his arm drapes over her shoulder, snuggling closer to the seishi.  "I'm sure you do, you wicked boy.  You're terribly lucky that I like all your spots."  And then she'll turn her head to smile up at the seishi, eyes reflecting her content mood.  "What's say we go to your place and work on that prize of yours?"

Chase smirks faintly at her mention of chi users, "Yeah, you could say something like that." He exhales slowly, drawing his hand lightly back and forth over her shoulder. "I've got a lot of great spots, don't I?" he murmurs, meeting her smile and eyes with his own that nearly mirror her's. He'll lean into her though, tilting her chin to give her a not-so-shy kiss upon the lips. "Now, I like the sound of that." He slips up off the curb to offer her his hand to lead them both off.
