The Berkley Apartments - 302

Clearly, apartment 302 is a bachelor's land that knows no womanly touch. While the apartment is clean, even immaculate, it's hard to mistake the gender preferences of the decor. The main room is painted a neutral creme color with a tan border that displays many different kinds of fish around the world; On the walls, glass-windowed storage cabinets hold poles, tack and bridle for horses, nets, ropes, and any number of bestiary-related clutter, most of which can't possibly be of any use in the city. Tools hang on a cork board on the far wall, ranging from different gauges of wire to a welding torch. Contrastingly, the kitchen is decked out in warm shades of red and white, with an expansive spice set and expensive cutlery visible among the otherwise immaculate countertops. Stranger yet is the complete absence of electronics; No clock, TV, radio, or telephone grace the entire apartment, and both the table and the massive bed that sits in the bedroom seem handmade, if awkwardly so.

Chase's phone begins to ring.

Chase picks up his phone.

<Phone> Chase, lounging rather indolently upon the couch, reaches over to take up the phone as it begins to ring. "Hello?" he answers with a touch of distracted curiosity.

<Phone> "Chase-kun," Sayuri greets the Genbu on the phone, her voice calm as she struggles to keep her underriding emotions out of it.  She hasn't gotten much sleep last night, for all her protestations of being tired.  "Have time to talk?"

<Phone> Chase hesitates at the familiar voice, mouth tightening into a fine line for a moment. "Yeah, of course I do. You want to just talk like this? Or come over? Or... whatever?"

<Phone> "I can come over," Sayuri offers after a brief pause in thought.  "Give me a couple minutes."

Chase is definitely waiting for Say to come over. In the meantime though, he does the typical bit of tidying up, shoos Benito to the fire escape with a large chew bone, and even makes a quick check to see if there is anything in the cupboards to eat or something to drink.

True to her word, Sayuri shows up not more than fifteen minutes later.  Knocking at the seishi's door, she waits outside, looking only slightly disheveled.  She only ran a brush through her hair and slipped on the nearest rumpled clothing before she dashed out of the apartment for this meeting.  She's had time to think, only to find that it resolved nothing.  Thus she's back in hopes that they can work on this latest snag, because their relationship's not supposed to be like this.  It's supposed to be fun, carefree... no strings attached.  Sucks to discover that there's no such thing.

Chase offers Sayuri a bright smile as he opens the door for her. "Hey," he greets, ushering her in with a wink as the door shuts. Turning away a little, he flickers her a faintly anxious glance before it is dissolving into that smile once again. "Wanna sit? Something to drink? Never did find that vodka you said you left here." Kenny. Has to be Kenny.

Sitting on the couch, Sayuri flashes Chase a wry grin as she shakes her head in denial.  "Iie, I'm not thirsty, but thank you Chase-kun."  She's laid off his pet name for the moment, adding a little distance between then psychologically as well as physically.  She does smile slightly at the mention of the vodka, lips quirking up slightly at the edges.  "Probably a good thing, knowing your level of alcohol tolerance."  Really, three cans of beer and he's a goner.  She pauses, trying to order her thoughts before easing into their conversation.  "I didn't like spending the night alone last night," she admits, glancing over towards the seishi.  "I missed you."

Chase moves over to perch upon the couch as well, giving her a faint grin. "I can drink... uh... yeah." Okay, so maybe she is right and he admits it with a deepening of that smile in realization. "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah." His smile softens though at her words, "Yeah, I kind of missed not having you elbowing me for covers all night long." He drops back a little, lounging into the corner of the couch, "Last night was kind of messed up though."

"Lightweight," Sayuri teases with a small smirk of her own.  But then she sobers.  "Last night was..."  Looking away, she sighs.  "Last night was an eye-opener, ne?  Guess we have some things to talk about."  She pauses and then admits, "You really made me mad last night, Tomi-chan.  I... I was getting ready to walk away for good.  If I can't trust you, then I can't be with you.  And last night you hurt me.  A lot.  I don't give my trust easily, and it seemed that the one time I decided to do so, it blew up in my face."  She's still not sure what to make of her lack of trust in the seishi, or where they go from here.

Chase sighs, scooting over a little closer to her. "I didn't mean to tell half of that stuff to Brice, but... Sayuri, it just happens." He flickers a glance away for a moment and then finally looks back to her, "You have every right to be mad at me. And I don't blame you at all. It's just that..." And now comes the heavy sigh, "This is hard to explain. What I ended up telling him... had more to do with me then with you, Say. It was stuff that /I/ did. I wasn't telling him your secrets. Hell, I don't know all that much about you to even tell him, and I wouldn't. That's just your business. And if you want want to share whatever with me, and want to keep it quiet, then I can easily do that. That other stuff... that was different."

"That's just it, it's not different," Sayuri returns, temper flaring slightly.  "You say it was stuff that you did, but you weren't alone in doing it.  He may be your oniisan, but he doesn't owe me any favors, and I'm not some silly thing to kind myself in thinking that just because I'm sleeping with you, his same protection extends to me."  She rises from the couch and starts pacing.  "He now has that to use against me, Tomi-chan.  And I don't like having things hanging over my head, having people that I don't know have that sort of power over me."  She turns towards the couch and the seishi sitting there.  "You may trust him with your life, but I don't."  And now she looks slightly sad as she continues onwards, "What you're suggesting is not letting you in, not letting you know about me because you may not be able to keep it secret.  Damn it, you can't even build a friendship on that."  She sighs sadly, shaking her head.  "You say that you can keep things quiet, but can you really?  I... gomen Tomi-chan, but I can't trust you to anymore."

Chase winces slightly, watching her. "It's not like that, Sayuri. Brice isn't like that at all. He'd never do anything like that. Ever. Brice knows me better then I know myself, and I'm fairly sure that I know him better then he knows himself. He would ever do something like that against you and... he doesn't have anything to hold over you anyway? He knows about your powers. So what? Trust me in this, Say...  you are /not/ the only one around here who can do stuff like that. The car? I did it. You didn't. Or are you thinking something else? That we're together? You don't want anyone knowing about that or something?" He sighs, shaking his head from side to side. "I never said a word at all about... what you've mentioned before, about going vigilante. That's you. It doesn't involve me or him..."

"Just because you know him well doesn't mean that I do, Tomi-chan.  Nor do I want to," Sayuri adds with a toss of her head.  "It doesn't matter if there are others who can do metaphysical manipulations, do you think that matters to me?  Or that you're the one that stole the car?  Iie, what matters is that you mentioned /me/ in them."  She frowns down at the seishi, "You could have mentioned the events without mentioning my name.  Or hell, without mentioning me at all.  Especially after I warned you about it the first time.  You haven't mentioned anything about my vigilante behavior... yet," she tags on almost cruelly.  "How am I supposed to believe that you won't eventually?  What if the drug bust never happened last night?  My bet is on the fact that you would have mentioned that to Kent-san as well, ne?"  She lets the anger fade away, leaving only her hurt to play across her features.  "You say you won't mention things, but for how long... how long until he pries these things out of you?  Iie, without trust, there's nothing between us, is there?"

Chase sighs with something of annoyance, glancing away from her. It takes a moment and then he is finally looking back to Sayuri. "I didn't mean to, Sayuri. I really didn't. Hell, the last thing that I want to have happen is you get into trouble. And i..." He trails off, sighing. "I don't know what else to say or do then. No matter what I try to say to explain things, you won't accept it. You don't seem to want to trust me now... so now what?"

Sayuri slumps down onto the couch beside the Genbu again, closing her eyes and sighing.  "That's the sticker," she mutters.  "I don't want to let you go, Tomi-chan, demo... I can't trust you either."  She opens them to peer over towards the seishi, "What's done is done, ne?  Demo, I'm not sure what happens now.  I had hoped that coming over to talk with you would somehow..."  She shakes her head back and forth.  "I have to be cautious, Tomi-chan.  I can't afford to make mistakes.  Mistakes can get a girl killed.  And yet I offered you another chance, and I'll stick to my promise.  Demo, this is it," she warns quietly.  "I can't forgive you another time.  I'm not sure if I've even forgiven you for the previous two slips."  She looks disconsolate, though, as she adds, "It's all I can offer you now.  It's your choice if you still want to continue with things."

Chase quiets for a moment as he listens to her, drawing one leg up onto the sofa to hook at the edge of the cushion. "Sayuri..." Apparently unable to find the right words to say, his mouth shuts once more, gaze flickering away to look towards the window. "You keep asking me to do all of this stuff for you. Not talk about you to others. Keep you entertained, and then threaten to leave if I don't. And then you say you haven't even forgiven me for stuff I've done before... He'll, even Brice doesn't ride me like you do." As he speaks, the annoyance is definitely beginning to show.

"What the hell do you want me to do, Tomi-chan," Sayuri returns tiredly.  "Be someone I'm not?  This is me, it's not a pretty package.  But at least I'm being honest with you.  And I don't ask anything of you that I'm not willing to do myself.  I keep your secrets, is it unfair of me to want teh same from you?"  And now she'll look away, chin locking mutuniously.  "If you can't tell the difference between teasing and the more serious matters, then there's nothing I can do, is there.  Baka Genbu, just being with you is entertainment enough.  Or was," she corrects with a frown.

Chase's annoyance is really beginning to show now. The glint to his eyes becomes even cooler. Gee, does the room even feel just a wee bit more cold as well? He pushes up off of the couch with a huff, drawing away from her. Only to come back with a few more paces. "Dammit." Okay, here comes the ramble as he begins to do just that, pace back and forth. "This is ridiculous. If I get one more person telling me that I can't be trusted... I'm the most trustworthy- Genbu! You sit in a fucking temple for two-hundred years and they still don't think... And no. Noooooooo. You had to go and get involved with a girl that thinks you are breaking her trust by telling Hikitsu a couple of things that you did with her. A couple of things that are nothing, /nothing/ compared to half of the stuff that's gone down. It'd just figure." He stops abruptly, peering at Sayuri, "Was? Was?" He shakes his head from side to side, looking away. "You keep asking all of this stuff from me, Say. When are you going to try?"

Sayuri'll just watch Chase's pacing with a confused blink.  Half of what he rambles on about making sense only in the names, but not the references.  But then she's getting irrate herself, rising to block his pacing, standing in front of him and growling, "And is what I'm asking so damned hard to do?  All I ask is that you don't talk about me to the others and you act as if I'm asking for the world.  What, did you expect me to take your actions lightly, to just shrug things off?  That's not my way, never has been, never will be."  And then she's narrowing her eyes towards the seishi, "Try...?  When am I going to try what?"  The chilled air isn't noticed as her anger has her cheeks flushing, eyes sparking with unrepressed emotion.

Chase stops as she is suddenly before him. He blinks across at her and then speaks softly, "Why don't you want me to talk about you to my friends, Sayuri? I don't want to hide you from them. You're better then that. While I like being alone with you... I want to share you too. You're fun. And I'd like them to know that yeah... you're a factor in my life, Sayuri." He continues to watch her, and then nods, "You ask all of this stuff from me... and any time I try to ask something of you, you ignore me and do exactly the opposite. Take last night. Once more I simply ask you for one thing, to keep quiet, and you ignore me. /Again/. I didn't say that to be a jerk or anything, I said it because I knew I could deal better with aniki. You can't even trust me to handle a situation like that." Yeah, he is definitely getting the idea that she does have trust issues and it shows as he watches her curiously.

Turning her face away, Sayuri notes softly, "Because I don't know your friends.  Hell, your oniisan's a damn police officer, Tomi-chan.  What other secrets do you have hiding within this Genbu coallition of yours?"  She softens slightly, turning her gaze back to him and reaching up a hand to trace along his jawline as she adds, "But you see, I don't want to be shared.  I'm a loner, Tomi-chan.  And I pick my friends carefully."  As he explains exactly what he means by 'try', she shrugs her shoulders.  Trust is one of her weaknesses, and she does have the decency to look sheepish at that.  "I'm not used to relying on someone else.  I've only had myself for the past six years, and I've learned how to get by on my own.  I do things my way, Tomi-chan, because I've learned that I can trust no one but myself.  Hell, even you've shown me that I can't trust my lovers.  Demo, don't get upset," she temporizes with a stroke along his cheek.  "It's a valuable lesson learned, ne?"

Chase reaches a hand up to still her hand on his face and draw it away. "I've tried," he sighs, almost with a touch of remorse. "The gods know I've tried..." He draws his gaze back over to her and sigh. "I'm not going to put myself through this again, Sayuri. I'm not going to offer you myself if I'm not going to get anything from you, if you aren't even going to try to change a little and expect me to change a lot. And I'm not going to beg you to invest your trust in me again. I can tell you that I'll be more careful about what I say to others, but I'm not so sure you even want to believe me if I do say that."

Sayuri's eyes widen as he draws her hand away, her mouth opening slightly at the movement.  "I..."  Damn it, how did this become about her?  "What else do you want from me, Tomi-chan?  Want me to admit that you're my biggest weakness, that I know I should be walking away in order to protect my heart, but fearing that it's too late?  Want me to say that I'm afraid that I'm falling in love with you and that I want to trust you, that I want nothing more than to curl up with you and have you tell me that it'll all be okay?  That you'll take care of me?  That finally, perhaps, someone cares for /me/?"  She's never been so emotional in front of him, and she's looking furious as hell because her eyes are watering despite herself.  She won't cry, she hasn't cried since she was ten and her okaasan died.  "Fine, then you've made your choice, Isard-san.  I... sayonara."

Chase was more than ready to be done with all of this. He was ready to just accept his losses and let her be, despite the fact that it was the last thing he wanted to happen. With his chin dropped, he starts to turn away from. And then she hits him with that, causing the boy to hesitate. Ugh. Strings. Lots of strings being pulled. He watches her, confusion briefly making an appearance in his features, but in the next moment he sigh and then there is that damn glimmer of hope. Dammit! Glossy eyes don't help matters any. "I think that I'd like that... and that I do, care about you," he admits, reaching a hand out to try to stay her from leaving.

Logfile from Chase.

Guess there's no such thing as a string-free relationship after all.  And despite her determination, a tear slips down her cheek as Sayuri lowers her head, starting for the door.  She pauses at his words though, turning a stunned glance back towards the seishi.  And yeah, there's hope glimmering in her mahogany irises as well.  "Demo, it's not that easy," she whispers cautiously, turning her gaze down at their linked hands.  She curls hers slightly, enjoying the feel of their connection, holding on as if she doesn't ever want to let him go.  "I... I want to trust you, Tomi-chan.  I want to believe in you... but it doesn't come back that easy when broken.  Will you... will you be patient with me while I try, though?"  She sounds so tentative, so unlike her usual self.  "Because I don't want to walk away from you.  From us."

Chase's mouth draws into a fine line once more, and he nods his head slightly. Actually, he almost seems to make a noise akin to a chuckle, "I'd worry if it was that easy." He gives her hand a little squeeze before reaching his other hand over to try to tip up her chin, and from there notice the tear. He frowns and reaches over to swipe away the moisture. "Patience? I think that I can do that for you, Say. I'm fairly sure I can. I... want to try to work this out too."

Oh boy. Looks like the pleasant diversion that is Sayuri is beginning to become so much more. And Chase was /so/ not planning for that. At all. And when all she does is hug around him, and speak further, any other arguments he might have had at that moment are pretty much well blasted away. Jeeze. Arms curl around her, pulling her even more fiercely against him before softening. "I wouldn't have it any other way... You kind of get addicting, imp."

"Only kind of," Sayuri teases, pushing back slightly, arms still twined about his waist.  "Then I'm not trying hard enough.  I want you to be totally, completely, all-consumingly addicted to me.  I want to be your potato chips, Tomi-chan.  I don't ever want you to get enough of me."  Her dark eyes dance as she admits, "Because something tells me that I'm never going to be able to get enough of you."  And then she removes her arms, only to curl them about his neck, standing up on tiptoe to kiss him with all the pent-up emotions that have been broiling within her for so long.  All her longing and lonliness are transferred with the contact, as well as her hope for the future.  A future that contains him.

Chase's mouth draws upwards with a faint smile, "It's definitely getting that way." Doomed! He is doomed! And it is surprising him how easy it is happening. "Potato chips?" And he'll chuckle softly, "How about chocolate?" He flashes her a wink before bending slightly at the knees and drawing his arms around her once more. Humming in the back of his throat, he responds to her lips, arms tightening possessively about her once more.

Sayuri sighs against Chase's lips, her lashes lowering to feather across the tops of her cheeks.  Her arms loosen enough so that her fingers can run through the soft hair fringing the nape of his neck.  And then she's pulling back from him slightly, a teasing grin dancing on her lips.  "Let's go out, Tomi-chan.  Let's do something to celebrate our first fight, ne?  Anou... perhaps roll around on the dojo mats again?"

She might try to draw away from him, but Chase is just going try to scuttle forward and close up that space once again, shamelessly too as he smiles across to her. "I'm fairly sure we've fought plenty before this... but sure, why not? I like rolling around with you." Still shameless. "Do you want to stop at your home to change and I'll meet you there? Borrow something of mine? Or what?"

"I liked rolling around on them with you too," Sayuri admits with a wicked smile.  "Though I would have koshed you over the head if you'd even suggested such a thing."  And since he won't let her go, she'll just snuggle close and not let him go either.  "Would you let me borrow another t-shirt and a pair of shorts?  No fukus involved this time around, I promise.  That way I don't have to go all the way home and down to the dojo.  Seems like a rather long time to be away from you," she teases, tickling so she can step back and head into his room.  She asked, thus she feels that his acquiescence is implied.  And hey, doesn't she look cute in his clothing?

Chase says nothing about fukus. Nope. Especially considering there is probably some developed film floating around somewhere with him on it. Baaaaaad. Naturally, he hitches at her tickling, shooting her an warning but amused glance. "Sure, just..." But she is already darting off to change. Yeah, he definitely likes seeing her in his clothes, and, inevitably, out of them.

Sayuri knows exactly where Chase's t-shirts and shorts are, thus doesn't take her long to come out wearing one of his worn shirts and a pair of shorts, hair up in a high ponytail that swings back and forth with her every step.  She pauses at the entrance to the living room, posing as she laughs over at him, "Anou... perhaps I should start stealing your clothing, Tomi-chan.  This is awfully comfortable."  Her own clothing's left scattered across his made bed.  He may be tidy, but she's not.  Comes from having a pampered upbringing.  "Shall we go, then?"

Ti Kwan Leep Public Dojo

In the entranceway is a counter were people must sign up to use the dojo, rental of the various practicing rooms go by the hour, or use of the main gym for members only for a modest annual fee. The stern looking and muscular man over seeing all of this seems quite adamant about no one going past without meeting their particular requirements. There's a clause on the sheet that says the dojo is not responsible for any injuries incurred on the premises.

There are several floors available, some smaller private practice rooms on the first level, a larger set on the second floor with higher ceilings meant for weapons practice and flips. The main gym however is in the basement and looks not only heavily reinforced, but the walls are lined with racks and shelves filled with practice weaponry, dummies stacked in the corners, and stacks of practice mats in the corner.

Meiyou and Sayuri are here.

Obvious exits:

Exit

Meiyou is in a corner of the main practice gym, taking out frustrations in a mixture of jiu-jitsu and kempo on a hapless sandbag. While there's a sheen of sweat from exertions, she's not too tired of it yet. In fact, it's almost as though she's just warming up, kicks and sharp punches gaining speed as she goes along. Someone's exceedingly grumpy? Either that, or she's got more than her normal excess energy and needs to burn some of it off.

Chase opens the door for Sayuri as the enter into the dojo, looking back after her. "Enough stuff gets stolen, don't see how stealing my clothes is going to be any different." He flashes her a wink though to go with the sly grin. "Want a room or should we take our rolling around on mats for the benefit of the watching public?" Yes, oh yes. The smile grows with teasing.

Sayuri enters, obviously wearing a boy's t-shirt and shorts, her hair up in a high pony-tail.  "Really," she asks with an arched brow.  "What else gets stolen, Tomi-chan?  Or do I even want to know?"  Slipping in through the open door, she can't help herself.  She has to tease, "Depends on what kind of rolling around on the mats you want to do, ne?"  And then she's smiling at the receptionist, waiting for the seishi to suggest what type of room he'd like to use.  In the background she can hear the dull thuds of a practice dummy getting the snot beat out of it.  And she's curious enough to leave the checking in to Chase while she peers around the corner and into the main practice room.  And then she'll just watch the kicks and punches with a rather impressed mien.  "Tomi-chan," she hisses.  "C'mere, you gotta see this.  Bet she could kick your butt."

There's a *whumph* and a clink of overstressed chain, and then a rather noisy thump, followed bit of creative cursing in several Eastern languages -- Chinese, Japanese, and Korean as well as English. Yes, indeed, the sandbag did fall down with an overenthusiastic high kick, and Meiyou just barely skips out of the way. "Ahh," she sighs, having vented frustration at the world and the sandbad in particular, "Mou, I wanted to finish." She grabs a towel from a bag and skips -- yes, skips -- towards the main desk. "I knocked down the corner sandbag; could someone stick it back up with a heavier chain? I think one of the main links broke."

Chase flickers a glance to Say as she moves away, turning back to the counter to talk to the person behind it about possibly getting a room. He nods his thanks to the person there and then moves over to catch up with Say. "Hrm?... A lot of people can kick my butt, you included." Which is why his talents are more ranged? But, sometimes, it isn't quite as fun. He gives Say a nudge before looking after the young woman and her bag kicking. But he is blinking as it tumbles to the floor, glancing back to Meiyou for a moment.

Sayuri arches a brow at the various curse words, mouth curling up in a grin.  And then she'll blink.  The girl skips?  "If you want," she smiles wickedly over at Meiyou, "Chase-kun'd be willing to play a little with you."  She's evil.  Yup.  "He's better than a sandbag."  She laughs mirthfully, covering her mouth with her hand as she peeks up under her lashes at the seishi.  "You did want to roll around on the mats, ne?  This way you'll be assured a good workout."

An affirmative nod is given by the person behind the desk, and Meiyou bestows a bright grin on the hapless person. "Sankyuu!" she calls, then heads back towards the practice area, intent on picking up her bag and hitting the showers for the moment. Chase's look is given a friendly one in return, a slightly impish smile lurking about her lips at Sayuri's comment. "Play? Chase-kun?" She frowns -- that name sounds familiar. Oh well. "Rolling about on the mats is not what I had in mind, though. If that /is/ a come-on line. Though normally it would be coming from the man and not the woman, ne?" Her gaze flicks from Sayuri to Chase as a mischievous chuckle follows. "Reverse-pimping, da ne?" So she's in a very weird mood?

Chase blinks for a moment, and then another as Say is suddenly suggesting him. Wait now. He was rather hoping to roll around with a certain someone else. Say is awarded a quirking glance, smile slowly hitching upward at the corners though. "Depends on the sandbag... buy yeah, I did say I wanted to roll around." His attention turns over to Meiyou, sizing her up for a glance only to chuckle at what she says, "Yeah, Sayuri is my pimp. Isn't that right, imp?" And he reaches over to give her a firm slap on the rear. And as he sidles away, he glances back to Meiyou, "Not adverse to rolling around, are you?"

"It'll give Chase-kun a thrill," Sayuri winks towards Meiyou, her eyes just *dancing* with laughter.  "And I do like giving him thrills.  Iie, not a come on line, I can promise you that."  At least, not a come on line from her.  And if the seishi's fingers wander, she has sharp pointy things to make sure that it doens't happen again.  "Hai, I'm his pimp and also his crack dealer."  But he's playing with fire with that rump slap, and she's growling low in her throat.  "Careful little boy, you don't want a little two against one scenario."  But then she's pausing and smirking.  "Or perhaps you are.  Naughty boy."

Eyebrows arch slightly at the interplay between the two, another laugh following Chase's Sayuri-swatting, especially with the responses offered. Meiyou is /definitely/ amused at this point. "In the sense of sparring, no, I am not adverse to rolling around," she replies, "and if that is a challenge, then I accept." She gestures towards a different corner than earlier, suiting her own actions to gestures and moving in that direction. "Sayuri-san and Chase-san, wasn't it? May I call you Sayuri-chan and Chase-kun? Or is it just Sayuri and Chase? A very pretty name, though. I'm Saegusa Meiyou -- and now, Sayuri-chan, it can be fun to tackle people two-on-one. Two is better than one."

Chase's grin breaks out nice and bright at the 'two against one' mention, and the full force of that smile is directed right at Sayuri. "I wasn't the one to bring it up, but now that you said it..." Yes, a pointed trailing off as he watches Sayuri speculatively. He looks back over to Meiyou, nodding his head to her, "Any of those are perfectly fine. Nice to meet you though. I am a great admirer of your work on unsuspecting bags." He flashes her a wink and then shrugs his shoulders, "If you two want..." He knows full well he'll probably be flat on his back in a couple of breaths, but, dammit, it'll be fun!

"Sayuri-chan is fine, Meiyou-chan," she offers with a smile towards the other girl.  Usually she'd ruffle at the diminuative name, but Chase has her mellowed out at the moment.  Darn it, she's getting as soft and gooey as melted chocolate.  -.-  "Iie, someone has to referee the battle, ne?  That'll be me."  But then Chase is beaming all to brightlyl for her to ruin his little boy fantasy.  "Never say I don't do anything for you, Chase-kun," she deadpans, following the other girl towards the corner.  "Demo, if he gets overly frisky Meiyou-chan, feel free to kosh him.  I do it all the time."  Or at least she thinks about doing it quite frequently.  He's just lucky that he's cute and she's got a soft spot for him, or his skull would be riddled with goose eggs.

"Just let me grab a drink of water and put my towel back in my bag, and then we can start," Meiyou agrees, rolling her eyes at Chase's fishing for pain -- of course, having two girls tackle him probably isn't such a bad thing in the male mind. More skipping, and then she drags her bright-pink exercise bag over to the corner, rummaging around inside to grab a bottle of water to sip. The towel's tossed on top of the bag, and then she returns to the two with a challenging smile on her face. "I think we can trust Chase-kun to his better judgement in this case, simply because he /will/ get hit if he's too ecchi. Ne, Chase-kun?"

Chase chuckles, reaching over to try to give Sayuri a quick smooch on the cheek before she can scoot away from him, "I'll be sure not to." And then he is chuckling, slipping his feet from his shoes. "I'll try to restrain myself... somehow. It'll be hard." Oh, does he put in quite a bit of dramatic panache into the tone of his voice.

Sayuri'll save the punching and the pain for the mats, but her eyes warn the seishi that if he keeps up the PDA's with strangers around, she's going to have to take him into the back room and kosh him.  Or make him so happy he won't be able to think about being so touchy feely in public.  "Surely it won't be that difficult, Chase-kun," she returns with an arched brow.  Slipping out of her shoes as well, she studies the other two teenagers before asking, "Ready?"  She'll let Meiyou make the first move towards Chase.

"Of course it'll be hard to restrain yourself. /I'm/ your opponent, a very pretty girl! Ready!" Meiyou declares, though her tone of voice is teasing more than anything at this point. She bows to Chase as she slips her karate sandals off, studying him for a moment before she feints inwards, heading right but striking left with a closed fist; easily enough dodged or blocked, and more of an initial test than anything. "Are you planning on joining in, Sayuri-chan?" she asks, trying to dodge away from any retaliation and moving fairly slowly -- she's underestimating Chase, clearly enough.

This coming from the girl that did a heck of a lot more to him in front of her own classmates? Yeah... Chase simply smiles at the look he is given by Sayuri, chuckling deeply in the back of his throat. Moving out onto the man, he flickers a look first at Sayuri and then to Meiyou. "Not too difficult, imp," he sing-songs right on back to her. His visual attention flickers to Meiyou though, even if his senses are trained on Sayuri's familiar presence. Smile can't help but show once more though, and he agrees with the upmost honesty, "Very pretty." He slips away from the girl's punch though, turning a little to the side to curve away from it. He is reaching though to try to wrap up her arm, and if successful, bend it behind her, although that's hoping for a lot there. A /lot/. Alas, no mat tumbling yet.

Sayuri's fought Chase before, thus she's not likely to underestimate him.  Her classmates are rather useless people all together, thus she didn't mind teasing the seishi before them.  But Meiyou's different.  Meiyou can fight.  "Not too difficult, Chase-kun?  Then I'm not doing my job properly."  Still, hard to be a distraction in his overly large shirt and baggy shorts.  As he's focusing on Meiyou's attack, she'll try to come behind him, crouching low and performing a leg swipe.  She'll try to tumble him, see if she won't.  But only because she knows just how dexterious and quick he really is.

Meiyou moves with Chase's motion to twist her arm up behind her, though her intent is more to throw him over her shoulder by using his own momentum against him rather than her lesser strength. It's easily enough broken out of, however, and she doesn't seem to be counting on it to work either. "Imp? You're forgetting a 'P', I think, ne? But someone who pays me compliments!" IE, responds to her teasing fishing. "Jump, Chase-kun." That's her advice. Hey, if he jumps, she can try to toss him. If he doesn't jump, they're both likely to go down.

Getting kind of close in here, with a girl to either side of him. Sure, some guys really wouldn't complain about this at all. Nope. Chase gathers in closer to Meiyou as Sayuri comes behind him, and he corrects himself, "Sorry, /pimp/." Feeling the tipping of Meiyou's shoulder, the boy is letting go, skittering on one leg to try to keep his balance. But then comes Say and her leg-swipe. Yikes! "Shi..." *THUMP* Down he goes.

Sayuri was going to go easy on Chase, but then he had to go and call her a pimp.  Growl.  She's pouncing as he goes down, and she'll get him exactly where it hurts.  With tickling.  Lots and lots of tireless tickling.  "Don't you dare start calling me that," she growls.  "Meiyou-chan, stop giving him ideas."  Still, the other girl's on her team, so she suggests, "Try his feet.  Bet he's ticklish there too."  Oh yeah, she's not relenting until he's peeing his pants.  Call her a pimp will he?  Ooh, he'll live to regret that one.

"But giving people ideas is what I /do/. And I wonder... Sayuri-chan, does he blush?" Meiyou asks, standing on the edge of the mat, well within reach of a flailing arm from either of the two. "Feet? Why do /you/ get the fun parts to tickle? /I'm/ going to get water, and you two can roll around on the mats for a little while. Don't mind me if I take pictures." Camera + Meiyou = Dangerous Temptations. She snags her bag with her other foot, dragging it nearer.

Chase came here to roll around on mats with cute girls, not be inflicted with tickling! Evil woman knows all of his soft spots -literally. Of course, before the can start the inevitable gasping coming from tickling, he is instead going to chuckle darkly at her pouncing on him. Okay... now he'll laugh. Howl, more like it, and probably get a couple of looks from other patrons. So, Meiyou is in flailing arm reach? Excellent. With one arm trying to ward Say off, the other tries to grab ahold of something, anything to pummel her with. Ooooh, look... Meiyou's leg. That might work as the tries to grab ahold and tug hard.

I don't understand that.

Does Chase-kun blush?  Now there's a thought.  "I don't know, Meiyou-chan, why don't you kiss him and see."  Sayuri's already kissed him.  Already did far more than kissing really.  He probably wouldn't blush for her.  Eep, did she say pictures?  "Anou... no need for pictures."  And she'll hold still while Chase attempts to grab at the other girl's leg.  If he succeeds in pulling, she's going to try to roll away to avoid being sandwiched in between them.  That could be painful.

Kerthunk. Bag goes one way, Meiyou goes the other way, bag's contents go a different way entirely. Water bottles, clean towel, some shower stuff, and a small sheathed dagger go in various directions. Meiyou meets the mat, barely managing to catch her fall on the palms of her hands. So now Chase has one bare ankle in hand, and a rather surprised-looking Meiyou on the other end of it, and almost on top of Chase. "Hi. No kisses for you."

Chase has been known to blush a time or two, or more then that. Granted, it doesn't happen often and would probably involve moments of embarrassed guilt, and it is /not/ going to happen now. Especially considering he is quick to say, "Seeing as the fuku isn't here you want to get off seeing me smooch on another girl, Say? You've really got to tell me more about these fetishes of yours." But then there is Meiyou. Yep, definitely Meiyou. "Hey," he responds right on back, letting go of her ankle, only try to reach for her and.. well... push her after the fleeing Sayuri.

Sayuri keeps on rolling until she's a safe distance away from the other two.  "You know you liked the fuku, admit it Chase-kun."  And then she's rising, straightening her clothing and ponytail and smirking down at the Genbu.  "Iie, not my hollies," she counters, messing up the slang again.  "Yours.  I'm sure kissing her in front of me will help get your hollies off."  She pads towards the entrance and then laughingly tosses over her shoulder, "Demo, I suppose I have my fetishes, ne?  Perhaps, if you're a good boy, I'll share them some day."  And while he's occupied, she'll make a run for it to head home.  It's getting late and she should probably check in with otousan.

"Ja mata, Sayuri-chan!" Meiyou calls, watching the fleeing Sayuri, then looking down at Chase, then blinking. "She's more insane than I am, and that's saying something, I think," she says, rolling to a sitting position. "I like her!" Really, sanity is definitely not a prerequisite in the Saegusa family. It's generally lacking, in fact. "Help me pick up some of this that spilled? I need to go back to my apartment and start dinner before Sachio decides to try." Her twin being a not-quite-horrendous cook -- he doesn't burn rice, at least.

Chase chuckles, looking to Meiyou only to blink as suddenly Sayuri is darting off. Awwww, is that the distinct look of disappointment on his face as she leaves. "Jollies," he murmurs in belated correction, a sigh of reluctance, and then he is looking back over to Meiyou, "Hrm? Insane? You have no idea." He picks himself back up, dusting his hands off on his thighs, only to blink with almost exaggeration at Meiyou. "Saegusa...Sachio?... You know him?" And yes, he is helping to pick up the scattered pieces.

Meiyou taps her cheek, then giggles. "You must've forgotten what he looks like if you didn't recognize me. Though..." She looks down at herself. "He definitely wouldn't wear this even if I dressed him in it, and he definitely doesn't do martial arts. Un, I'm Saegusa Meiyou, his older twin. You're Mina-chan's friend, Chase-kun, ne?" She picks up the slim dagger, fingers curving carefully over the sheath.

Okay, so now Chase will finally blush. "I haven't seen him in a couple of months, and only then it was only for a brief moment," he replies. "And I wasn't exactly paying all that close attention to what he looked like at the time." He looks a little uneasy for a moment, handing her off a couple of things that were picked up, only to blink, "Yeah... how do you know that?"

Ahah! Meiyou got a blush from Chase. Her day is almost complete -- just need to make two more people in her life blush, and that can be done over dinner. "You must be one of the few people who didn't," she remarks cheerfully, then tucks everything back into her bag. She clicks her tongue chidingly at Chase as she gets to her feet, trying not to laugh at his uneasy expression. "That's... a secret! Now, dinner!" It's /her/ turn to scamper off, hopefully before Chase can catch up with her.

Chase was sort of preoccupied at the time, and getting a good look at another guy really isn't his thing. He smirks after Meiyou as he is denied an explanation, but waves after her. "Thanx for playing." Great, at loose ends now. What to do?... Might as well make the most of the time here.
