Logfile from Chase.

The Berkley Apartments - 302

Sparse living at its finest, or worse. The wood flooring actually as something of a luster to it through the careful maintenance of leaser's past. Walls are a rather neutral beige with something of a wood border about a third of the way up to add some character, as sparse as it is though. There is a threadbare couch, simple table and chairs, a tiny kitchen and an even tinier bathroom. A pair of doors seem to oppose one another down the small hall to the bathroom, each one leading to a different bedroom. But it is the additions that seem to give this places its character: like the expensive stereo system just over there flanked by a couple of towers of CDs or the dreamcatcher by the window that overlooks the fire escape and the street below.

Obvious exits:

Exit

It is a really good thing that Chase and Kenny's neighbors are either really lenient or are never around, because currently there are the sounds of music coming from the apartment, more than likely from a local radio station. Chase, himself, is settled upon the floor, singing along with Beyonce now and again when he actually knows the words in between shooting tie fighters on behalf of the rebel alliance from the video game he is currently playing.

And it's the music that let's Mina know that the Genbu's in.  Tapping lightly on his door, she stands on tiptoe to peek through the peephole in hopes of catching sight of the seishi.  "Chase-kun," she calls through the wooden barrier.  "Open up, I know you're in there!"  She's in a good mood, her genki features sparkling with excitement.

Chase's head comes up and he hits the pause button. Dropping the controller to the floor, he crawls to his feet and goes up to the door, eye peeping right on back through the hole. Whoa. Dark. "Who is it?" Yeah, you heard right. *snicker*

"What do you mean who is it," Mina pouts, sticking her tongue out towards the door and sniffing.  "Obviously you don't want to hear my news, Chase-kun," she adds with a huff.  "Fine, I'll go seek out someone else to celebrate with."  And with that, she turns as if to head down the hall and back out to the street.

*snick* The door is quickly opening and Chase is reaching out to try to snag the girl's shirt. "Awwwww, I was just messing with you. What news is this? Come on in. I'll -uh... I'll get out a box of Fruit Loops for you or something."

Mina peeks over her shoulder at Chase, still huffy.  "Perhaps I don't want to share with you after all," she sniffs again.  But who is she kidding, she can't keep the news to herself.  Bouncing into his apartment, she clasps her hands together delightedly.  "Guess who got the Dean's scholarship for this year?"

Chase chuckles faintly, reaching over to shut the door behind them. "Oh, come on. Share." He moves over, flopping onto the couch, slumping neatly into the corner, "Dean's scholarship?" And the first person to come to mind is naturally: "Hiroshi?"

Mina settles next to Chase, poking him in the ribs.  "Wrong answer, try again."  She's insulted really, is Hiroshi even in college yet?

Oh yeah, he is. Chase is poked though, curling over to the side at it. "No? Well, damn. He should have. That's too bad." He leans back a little further into the couch corner, dropping his head back against the cushions. "Huh... Dunno. Illuminate me." So sarcastic.

"He might have, there's more than one scholarship," Mina considers for a brief moment before she's punching Chase lightly in the arm.  "You don't deserve illumination, Chase-kun," she sulks, crossing her arms over her chest and pouting.  How is he so good at ruining her good mood?  Her parents got it in one guess.

Chase just smiles across to her. Smile. Oh yeah. Smile. Smile. "Of course I don't. I'm just some ignorant hick from nowhere who finds it a hell of a lot more entertaining to tweak the kitty's tail then out and out say exactly what she wants me to say. Yep, that's me." And he will now take this moment to stick his tongue out at her.

Chase is just asking for it, so Mina obliges.  Finger wiggle lets the Genbu know just how tweaked her tail is.  Well, the finger wiggle and resulting fuzzies, that is.  And then she's smirking slightly, adding a rather unnecessary, "Wiggle, turtle boy, 'cuz that's all the action you're ever going to get from me."

Dood. That is so bad. So bad. Chase blinks and then falls forward. Fine. Two can play at this. If he is going to be wiggling, it is going to be on her if at all possible, because if  tortured is involved, she is going to be getting it too -or at least he is going to try so very hard to do so. "Mina!"

"Eek!  Chase-kun!"  Mina's wiggled on, and it has her flushing and pushing at the Genbu, trying to tip him off her.  "Ecchi seishi," she accuses, because she's got a sneaky suspicion that the falling was on purpose.  Peeking at Chase's face, she's ready to switch out the fuzzies for the slimeys if Chase looks like he's enjoying the situation in any way.

Chase didn't mean anything sick and demented by it, he was simply trying to give as good as he got. Thus, revenge. Alas, the boy is slipping and falling onto the floor, smirking, "Hey, girl.... don't make me freeze something!"

Looking relieved as Chase finally slips onto the floor, she sniffs, turning her nose up haughtily.  "Don't make me drop an elephant on you, Chase-kun," she retaliates.  "I'd hate to have to hurt you."  Empty threat if anything, but she does let up on the poor Genbu's torture, the fuzzy weasels disappear with a brief thought and she's peeking over the edge of the couch, beaming at the seishi.  "Anyone ever tell you that it's dangerous to tweak a tiger's tail?"

Chase snorts. "Dropping an elephant on me would send me right down into Brice's place. I don't think he'd be too happy about that." Knuckles wrap upon the flooring before he is looking back over to her, happily fuzzy free. "Sure. But that hasn't stopped me before, and it won't stop me in the future. So, you really did get that?"

Mina shrugs lightly, "You spend enough time there, ne?  Might as well make it one big apartment."  Beaming down at the Genbu, she nods her head happily, her Caribbean blue eyes sparkling with her enthusiasm.  "Hai, I applied for it at the end of the Spring semester, and I'm one of the recipients.  It's going to save my parents a couple thousand, at least."  She just needs to maintain a 3.5 gpa, but seeing as she pretty much needs a 4.0 for veterinary school, it shouldn't be too hard.  "So you should take me out to celebrate, Chase-kun."

Chase is still recovering from the last time he went out, and she expects him to take her out now? He actually chuckles though, climbing up off of the floor and placing his hands upon the back of the couch, "Nice." He smiles back right on down at her though, "Celebrate, eh? You, me, and a big ol' bottle of vodka?"

Of course she does.  Mina doesn't know that he'd gone out recently.  Turning over on the couch to peek up at the Genbu, she wrinkles her nose slightly.  "Vodka?  What about something yummier, like wine coolers.  The strawberry daiquiri ones are to die for."  Much better than plain old alcohol.  "I'm in the mood to experiment though.  I've always wanted to try Sex on the Beach or a Fuzzy Nipple."

Chase is immediately wrinkling his nose. "Wine coolers? My grandmother drinks wine coolers." He rolls his eyes though, and then peers a little closer at her, "Got a fake ID? Maybe if you put something on a bit more... skin tight, I might be able to get you into a place without an ID." He rubs his chin as he considers her.

Mina?  Have a fake id?  And wear skintight clothing?  "Perhaps we should stay in," she decides after a brief, uncomfortable pause.  "I suppose that Fuzzy Navel can wait until I'm twenty-one."  And then she's frowning at Chase and poking at him again.  "Are you calling me your grandmother?  I'll have you know that wine coolers are much better than plain vodka and infinitely better than beer."  The last is said with a wrinkled nose, her distaste obvious for the stuff.

Chase blinks down at her, and then chuckles. "I can get you one, you know? A fake ID. Get a really good and professionally done one too. Just as good and authentic as the real thing. I can set you up." He nods most sagely, squints at her for a moment, considers, and then slips away to the kitchen. "I've got something just as nice as a wine cooler, only better..."

Mina sniffs and shakes her head.  "Iie, I don't need a fake id."  Only it's obvious that she does.  "I don't think I could pull of being twenty-one anyway, Chase-kun.  Any bouncer worth his salt would know that it wasn't real right away, ne?"  She blinks as the Genbu makes his way into the kitchen before pushing up off the couch and trotting after him.  "Better?"

Chase rolls his eyes, "And you think that I've got it any easier?" He really has to work now to make them believe he is twenty-one, and even then half the time it doesn't work. He drops into a crouch and begins to rummage inside of one of the lower cabinets. After a moment, he comes back up, only to hide the label of a bottle of something that is clear in appearance. "Hey now... just wait." He edges along the counter 'til finding the glasses to pour the contents in a pair of them. "A whole lot better."

"I didn't say you have it easy, Chase-kun, in fact I'm surprised that you get in at all."  Moving up behind the seishi as he drops to a crouch, she leans over his shoulder, peeking curiously.  "Why should I wait?  Waiting's no fun at all."  It's that darn Byakko curiosity of hers.  Eyeing the two glasses skeptically, she notes warily, "It doesn't look a whole lot better."  In fact, it looks a whole lot like straight vodka.

Chase flashes her a bright smile, and then rolls his eyes at her skeptical look. "I can look older than I am if I really want to." It is all in the eyes. "You like peach, right? This tastes like peach." Schnapps that is. Glass is offered to her along with an even more smarmy grin.

Sometimes Mina's far too easy.  This is one of those times.  "Oooh, peach?"  Reaching for the glass, she sniffs suspiciously at the liquid before taking a tiny sip.  Licking her lips, she concedes, "It's not bad."  And then she's lifting her glass to clink against his, smiling and saying "Cheers."  And then she's downing the glass in one go, trying to prove that although she likes wine coolers, she's no light-weight.

"Cheers! And to your new scholarship!" Chase concedes, clinking his glass with her's as well, smile beaming, and taking a good, long drink as well. "Ahhhhhhh. More?" Of course, the boy is already filling. "See, told you it was pretty good. They've got all kinds of flavors. Like peppermint and sour apple and just all kinds."

Only Mina is a lightweight.  And it's soon obvious after she sips at her second glass, licking her lips again.  "Mmm, peppermint?  Sour apple?  D'you have any of those," she asks brightly, giggling ever so slightly.  "I'd like to try them.  Y'know Chase-kun, this is awfully good.    Much better than wine coolers," she nods with a delighted motion.  "I'm ever so glad that I thought of it."

Chase shakes his head from side to side, "Nope, just this one, and just this kind. It is a good kind though. Just like a margarita. Taste so good that before you know it, the drink is gone and you are trashed." But, of course, that is the best part. He chuckles at her though, reaching over to try to grab her sleeve and drag Mina back to the couch. "So, tell me, what have you been up to though, besides getting scholarships like some kind of geek."

Mina sniffles haughtily, still cradling her glass close, careful not to let even a drop spill.  "I'm not a geek, you're just jealous Chasie-wasie."  She reaches over to pet the Genbu on the head, adding benignly, "Demo, don't worry.  I don't take it personally because I know that you just wish you were as smart as me."  Plopping down on the couch, she blinks blearily before beaming, "Anou... Rathan is getting a new roommate.  Nikki.  She's awfully pretty, but that's okay because she's going to cook for me.  And we're going shopping together to buy housewarming gifts and kung-fu dvds."  She frowns slightly and adds, "But I'm not allowed to bring my kitties over there.  Nikki doesn't like them."

Chase is patted. Huh. He slips onto the couch as well, leaning over to add more drink to her glass. You know, to make sure it doesn't go dry. "Nikki? She? As in a girl? He has a new girl roommate. That's at Lexie's old place, isn't it?" He flops back into the corner of the couch, contemplating this as he drinks from his own glass. "Why does he got a new roommmate? And no kitties? I'd take them... only I dunno if Benny would eat them or not."

"Because she's his miko," Mina notes in a conspiratorial whisper.  "He doesn't know that I know, but I do."  Nodding her head, she appears pleased that she'd put two and two together.  "But she doesn't care that it used to be Lexie's place.  She doesn't care about Lexie at all.  I told her that's who'd been Rath's roommate beforehand."  She cocks her head, taking another sip from her never-empty glass, adding, "But she seems awfully nice.  She said she'd cook for me, and I can come over any time.  She doesn't mind.  I just can't bring my kittens.  Well, they're not my kittens yet.  I'm going to go and pick them up from the pound.  Rath's going to choose them for me, I just have to be sure that he doesn't pick out psycho kitties, because then they may hurt him while..."  Giggling, she pokes the other seishi, "While you know."

Chase isn't quite under the influence enough to simply glaze over half of what Mina says, because quite a bit of it actually registers in that head of his. "Eh?" Wow, now that took a lot of brain power. "His miko? Wait... he has a miko now?" This little bit of information is filed away, only to be swept off as the girl continues. Now, roughly, Chase is going to take on the appearance of a fish out of water. Wide eyes and mouth opening and closing. Another "Eh?" He facepalms though, nearly doing it with the wrong hand and getting a face full of liquor, but he actually uses his free palm, so the disaster is averted. "Ugh. Mina! I don't need to know about that! That is just sick and wrong!" *guzzle*

"Hai, she's the new miko."  Mina doesn't know that Nikki's not like Lexie, one miko for all four gods, thus she considers Nikki to be the former Yin no miko's full replacement.  "But don't go getting any ideas," she warns, waving a finger in front of the seishi's nose.  "She looks rather young.  And she's French.  Rathan seems to like French women, ne?  First Rainey and now Nikki.  I'm not French," is noted next, a rather disgruntled look upon her features.  "I wonder if he would have loved me if I was French."  She blinks over at Chase and giggles again, falling  over onto him.  "Oooh, don't be an old granny, Chase-kun.  I bet we could compare stories, you could tell me about Lexie and I could tell you about Rath.  Or... what is that girl's name that you're with now?  Sayed?  Sarah?  Iie... that's not it."  She makes a thoughtful moue, trying to remember the name.

Okay, so maybe it briefly crossed his mind that this Nikki girl might possibly be some sort of girl that would be a lot like Lexie. Chase blinks though at her response, and he is immediately on the defensive, "Awwwww, no. I didn't get any ideas... French, eh? No, Lex was definitely on the Italian side of things. Huh... French." He'll certainly ponder that one. "And I'm not an old granny! I don't kiss and tell and...." Wait. He downs the last of his glass, and sets it to the side, but he reaches over instead for the bottle. Suddenly, a bright smile lights up his features, "Wanna see what I got her?  Sayuri... But hush, it's a secret, I ain't supposed to show anyone. But I'll show you, 'cause you are different."

"Good," Mina looks satisfied, crossing her arms over her chest.  "Because I know your penchant for Yin mikos.  You're just as bad as me, Chase," she giggles behind a hand.  "There's something about forbidden fruit, ne?"  Holding out her now empty glass for a refill, she pouts slightly, "You don't kiss and tell ever?"  Shaking her head sadly, she just looks disappointed.  "Demo, I was going to ask you for ideas.  You're a guy, you know what guys like, ne?"  She smiles brightly up towards the seishi, "I wanted to surprise Rath."  And then she's blinking, eyes widening in surprised expectation.  "Oooh, you got her a gift?  Lemme see, please?  I promise I won't tell."  And then she's looking proud, nodding her head knowingly, "Hai, hai, I'm much different."

Chase hesitates, turning back towards her. "It was only /one/ Yin miko," this emphasized by a single finger lifting in front of her face, "and she was different too. She was fun, was about ten years older than me, and was sure good in...." But he is distracted once again, only to press that very same finger against her lips. "You can't say anything though. Not to anyone. Not to Kenny, or any of the Byakko, or those Yin, or your kittens. No nobody, otherwise I'm sure Say will gut me like a fish." Head is bobbed with exaggeration and great panache. The truth, you know. He takes another guzzling drink of the peach schnapps, hands her the bottle, and then prepares to drag her off to the bedroom to show. "Come on."

"Good in what?"  Mina has to ask.  "In the kitchen?  In the bath?"  But before she can ask for more explanations, there's a fingers pressed against her lips.  Eyes widening solemnly, she makes the cross-her-heart motion.  "I won't tell a soul," she promises against his finger, eyes serious.  "Not even my kittens."  Which isn't saying much since the kittens don't exist at the moment.  "I'm good a keeping secrets.  I keeps secrets from Rathan all the time."  Peering blearily at the bottle, she holds it close and wobbles after Chase towards the bedroom.  "Is it something pretty?"

"Actually, she was damn good in the kitchen. Made me this dinner once... Mmmmmmmm." Chase licks his lips in remembrance of that meal, because it really was one of the better ones he had in a long time. "She as good in a lot of things..." Yes, the inevitable moment of sadness crosses his face before steeling over. Head shakes from side to side though, momentarily causing the boy a bit of a loss of equilibrium and a reach for the wall to steady himself. "Whoa. That was a close one." He kicks open the door to his room though and leads her through, "Well, it /can/ be pretty if you use it right."

Mina pouts as she follows Chase through the door.  "I wish I could cook," she sighs wistfully.  "It'd be awfully nice to make a nice, romantic dinner for two, ne?  With candles and music and flowers."  Her smile goes hazy just thinking about it.  "Is that what your dinner was like, Chase-kun, flowers and candles and music?"  She peers dreamily over at the seishi, attempting to steady him too late as he falls against the wall.  Her actions have the opposite result though, as she leans heavily on him, using his stable form to help regain her own balance.  "Be careful," she warns.  "The floor's being tricky, it won't hold still."  And then she's smiling blearily at the seishi, "Oooh, does it sparkle and have lots of lights?  I like lights, they're so pretty when the blink."

Chase chuckles and is once more shaking his  head rather avidly from side to side, dark hair flopping about with the action, "Not quite all  of that, just really, really good food. She really was very, very nice. Quite snuggly. You know, I really like to snuggle." Just a random bit of information. "Next time I make you s'mores, I'll have wildflowers and I'll sing you a song and... well, a fire? How about that?" He tries to makes his way into the bedroom, but with her weight on him, it takes quite a bit of work, mostly using the wall and furniture to keep him upright. "Lights? No, silly-minnie, it doesn't have /lights/. But it is pink."

Mina glomps onto Chase, her eyes going teary at how nice he is.  "Honto ne?  You'd do all that for me?  You really are the best friend a girl could ask for."  She stands on her tiptoes to deliver a rather sloppy kiss to the seishi's cheek, swaying slightly.  "Ooh, hold still floor," she chides.  "You're not supposed to be moving so much."  It takes her a good moment to regain her balance and then she's peering eagerly at the seishi's door.  "Pink?  Oooh, is it a big pink dinosaur, Chase-kun?  I like pink dinosaurs.  You know, there's this song that goes 'lalala something pink diiinosaur...'"

Chase acks. Literally. He is being smooched by her, and it is a slobbery one. "Mina!" comes the protest, hand wiping at all of the slobber on his cheek. "I swear I'm going to tell on you. Tell on yooooouuuuuu." More finger waggling. "Go sit down. You're heavy." She better sit, 'cause he is simply going to stagger away and to his dresser. "And I've got blue and purple too." It takes a couple of tries to open that top drawer. "Heh. Heheh. Pink dinosaur."

Mina just pikus as she wobbles over to Chase's bed and sits on it, watching him expectantly.  "Tell on me?  Why?  Girls can kiss their friends, right?  It's not like I really kissed you."  And then she looks sad for a moment, adding with a slight shrug, "And even if I did, it wouldn't matter, ne?  Rathan already said that he doesn't care..."  She's feeling maudlin, and it's bringing down her high.  Taking a brief guzzle from the bottle that she's brought with her, she pushes that thought out of her mind.  "Blue and purple dinosaurs as well?  Ooh, can I have one Chase-kun?  I know the pink one's saved for Sayuri, demo blue's almost as nice.  I wonder if there's a blue dinosaur song?"  And then she lapses into singing the chorus from the Pink Dinosaur song again.

"Nononononono," Chase drawls, riffling through the drawer and tossing out this and that as he looks. Finally, he seems to come up with something, the sound of a plastic bag crackling. Leaving the drawer wide open, he totters over, only to fall on his side onto the bed. "Commere!" A few crawling movements forward, "It ain't a dinosaur, but I might get one of those now. But I want a pokka-dotted one."

Since Chase is laying on his bed, it's only natural for Mina to do so as well.  Slinking up the bed, her eyes on the plastic bag, she snuggles next to the Genbu and pouts only slightly.  "It's not a dinosaur?"  Awww, her hopes are dashed so easily.  "Then what is it?  Candy?  Ooh, did you buy her a pink candy heart?  Can I have one too?  One that says: U R 2 Cool.  I loves those candy hearts.  Though they all taste the same to me.  But you don't buy them for the taste, ne?  It's the messages that are important."  She yawns tiredly and blinks up at the seishi, "If you get a polka-dotted one, can you get me a pink one?  I think pink dinosaurs are cute."

Chase manages to crawl up onto his knees, reaching into the bag. He pulls out something, and it most certainly isn't a candy heart. It looks almost like a really, really fat marker, or maybe a glue stick. He pops the tops the pink off though, reaches over, and rather unceremoniously moves as if to draw a big pink heart on her cheek with it, the smell of strawberries coming with it. "Nope. Even better. I can /make/ my own heart with this. Just like.... there. All done."

Mina giggles, eyes widening as she reaches up to touch the unseen design and then she's reaching into the bag to pull out a marker of her own.  This one purple.  "Oooh, fun!"  Popping off the top, she tries to give Chase a curly-cue moustache that one sees on cartoon villains all the time.  And then she's giggling more, ordering, "Take off your shirt, Chase-kun, I'll give you your tattoo back.  You said you wanted another, ne?"  See what a giving friend she is?

Chase laughs and nods, "That one is grape. I think the other is raspberry. Maybe. I don't remember. But it sure smelled good. But guess what! Guess! Guess! Guess!" And despite the rather excited demands, he is struggling with the removal of he shirt, having a bit of trouble at his neck, snickering the entire time, and then it does finally pop off, moustache smearing some in the aftermath.

Mina crawls down, tugging on the waist of Chase's pants as she bites the top off the marker again.  "Wmrph?"  Spitting out the top onto the Genbu's cover, she asks again, "What, what, what?"  Because she has no idea what goes on in the fuzzy mind of his.  Holding the purple marker up to her nose, she inhales deep and then about goes cross-eyed from the fumes.  "Don't try that," she notes dizzily before frowning down at the seishi's abdomen.  "Take off your pants too.  I can't draw the lips properly if your clothing's on."

Chase laughs, and then moves over closer to Mina. He takes a firm hold of her head though and proceeds to lick her cheek. Yep. "Mmmmmmmmm. Strawberry." What a couple of fruits. First peach, and now other flavors. "Isn't this the best gift ever! They are so much fun!" While struggling out of his pants, he is reaching over to try to yank her shirt up and write the inevitable U R 2 Cool across her tummy, giggling the whole time.

Mina blinks as Chase licks her cheek and then she's giggling madly.  "They taste yummy too?"  Leaning up, she licks along his upper lip tasting the grape flavor.  "Mmmm... yummy."  And then she'll try to trade him markers as lips really do look better in pink.  As he struggles out of his pants, she wiggles briefly as he writes across her belly before giggling madly and tugging down the waistband of his undies just enough to draw a pair of lips where the tattoo used to be.  Filling them in, she giggles before giving a brief lick and then blinking up at Chase.  "Where did you get these markers?  The toy shop?  Kids must have an awful lot of fun with them."

Chase bursts into laughter considering that despite the numbing sensations in some areas of his body, others are just plain ticklish. He is giggling once again despite trying to stay still for her drawing. "Oooooh. Wait!" Pink is given over and now he has the blue, drawing across her back and up and arm with a movement that more than likely divests her with her shirt. That /thing/ is supposed to be a weasel, but it is looking rather almost like a snake with feet. "Whiskers... The Pussycat! Isn't that the best place? They gave me my piercing, and tattoo... Ooooh, but now I've got a new one. That is so much better, Mina. So much better." His voice sounds most grave and serious now. "You are a really, really good drawer."

Mina preens happily, "Lips aren't hard."  And since Chase is shirtless, she attempts to draw a bra across his chest, though in truth it's a couple of triangles and some wavery lines.  The loss of her shirt isn't really noticed, so intent is she on doodling on the seishi and the she blinks, puzzled.  "The Pussycat?  The Pink Pussycat?  They have children's toys?  That's just naughty, Chase-kun," she shakes her head as she fills in one of the triangles and then gives up and licks at the tip of the marker.  "Hrm... you're not wearing many clothes," she notes with a giggle, poking at his belly button.  "You're a stripper!"

Chase's drawing has apparently devolved into simply a bunch of squiggly lines. Never was all that good in art class. You know, always coloring outside the lines and such. Squiggles go down, down, down, until reaching her  pant line. Bah. His face squinches up in annoyance, only to try to divest her of those as well. Squiggle. "Oh? Do they? That is so bad. Very, very, very, very, very naughty." Of course, followed by more snickers. "A stripper? Oh! New job. I'd be a great stripper!" More wobbling as he attempts to stand up on the bed to strike a pose, "Baaa-dada-Baaaa-dada-boom-chika-chika."

Mina doesn't want Chase to feel lonely, thus she helps wiggle out of her shorts and then she's kneeling while he's shaking his groove thing and drawing money coming out of the waistband of his undies.  "Oooh, sexy," she coos, giggling up at him as she circles around to the clean slate of his back.  Nibbling her lower lip thoughtfully, she finally decides on a larger version of his kanji symbol, drawing it for all the world to see.  He may not like it, but it's on his back, he probably won't see it anyway.  And she likes the harsh simplicity of it.  "Hold still," she grumbles as one of his shakes makes her line go all wonky.  When she's done, she just flops down on the bed and giggles.  "I like you present, Chase-kun.  They're fun."  She blinks up blearily and adds with a soft smile, "You're fun."

Chase fairly collapses onto the bed as well after his little tease, as drunkenly uncoordinated as it was. Naturally, he bounces with the mattress, more than likely causing a few springs in the box to break. "Ooooooooh." He rolls over, naturally snuggling right on up with Mina, "Awwwww. But you are more fun, Mina. You are fun and pretty and my bestest best friend and you can draw on me any time."

Mina's response to Chase is a light snore.  Alcohol, coloring on friends, and beds do not mix well, and the poor Byakko's out, shifting slightly so that she can snuggle up to the Genbu's warmth because it's awfully cold without and clothing on.  She giggles once again in her sleep and mutters something about pink dinosaurs but at least she doesn't attempt to sing the song again.

Hey! It was a success. Nobody threw up. There was no brawling. All is great. "Mina? Mina?" There are a couple of taps to her forehead, but seeing as she isn't going to be waking up, he drags his arms around her and sighs happily, humming a few bars of 'boom-chicka-boom-boom' 'til dropping off as well.

Amefuri is here.

You know, when the morning light streaks through a window like that and strikes a guy in the eyes, especially after a night like last night, it really is torture. Still closed eyes squinch up more, and the boy turns to the side. Turn to quickly and his head is liable to explode. Warmth. Soft warmth and the smell of fruits. He'll just snuggle up with that. Yep. Hey, if it smells like fruit, then it can't be Benito, right?

The pain, oh the pain that just won't go away.  Groggy, Mina just reacts on instinct, returning the snuggling with a soft sigh, she blinks open her eyes blearily.  And then blinks again.  Wait, that's not who she was expecting.  "Aiiiiieeee!"  The scream can probably be heard throughout the whole apartment building, and she's instantly regretting it because the sound reverberates continuously within her head.  Holding her head between her hands she looks at him, looks at herself and just starts panicking all over again.  "Oh my god, oh my god..."

Ouch. Just ouch. Well, maybe a more death-toll sort of pain actually that slams through his head and threatens never to ever, every stop. "Oooooh!" Hand lifts up to push against his forehead at the very close proximity of the scream. That was so bad words cannot simply describe it. Eyes squint open to lock on Mina, a blurry Mina at that. "What the hell was that for?"

Mina would move, but she can't manage that just yet.  Her head's complaining mightily and the rest of her body just doesn't seem to want to comply with her wishes.  Flopping back against the mattress, she moves a pillow between their bodies and just moans pitifully.  "Chase-kun, you're not wearing any clothes."  Which is a lie, he's got his undies on.  "And I'm mostly undressed too," she adds, looking down at her squiggle covered body.  Squiggles?  "Oh my god, what did we do last night?"  Peach Schnapps is evil, eviiiiil.

Things are slowly beginning to come a bit more clear in Chase's head, although that is up to interpretation. Okay. In bed, mostly nekkid, with a mostly nekkid Mina. Hung over. Body paint. Body paint? Confusion shows along the with pain as he squints at her a little longer. "You are in my bed." Duh. "Uhm... Hi." Fuzzy memories aren't doing him a bit of good at the moment.

Clarity eludes poor Mina, though, and she whimpers, covering her eyes with an arm.  The one saving grace is that she's not completely naked, and neither is Chase.  And that's a slim one.  One eye peeks out to focus on the poster of Legolas facing the bed and she just moans again.  "Chase-kun, whatever you gave me last night, don't ever give it to me again, okay?"  The throbbing behind her temples isn't easing any, but she makes a valiant effort to turn her head and smile weakly at the Genbu.  "You look terrible."

Chase continues to squint at Mina, as if maybe by simply looking at her he can figure things out. Alas, there is absolutely nothing there. It is the searching sort of look. He sort of snorts something of a chuckle, but it is rather halfhearted. "But you had fun, right?" He is a guy. This demands to be asked.

Blurry images of laughing and stripping Chase pops into Mina's head and she flushes a deep red, looking away slightly.  "Hai Chase-kun, I always have fun with you."  She peeks up over the pillow barrier and nibbles on her lower lip and has to ask because she can't quite remember, "Demo... demo, we didn't do /anything/, right?"  And then she's frowning again and sniffing at him, blinking confusedly yet again.  "And why do you smell like strawberries and grapes?"

Chase notices that blushing from the other side of the bed, and suddenly his worst fears come to light. Oh shi... And why, Oh why should he not remember a bit of it? "Uhm, good." He looks confused for a moment longer before offering her a chuckle that only has him reaching for that poor aching head of his. Ow. "Anything?" As for the last. "You too. It might be the... uh... the..." Hand reaches over to scratch at her cheek, flaking away some pink stuff that was part of the heart.

"You don't remember either?"  Oh, that's not looking good for them behaving themselves.  Mina pales again, eyes widening as Chase's hand reaches over and she flinches ever so slightly at his touch, though she doesn't pull away entirely as he scrapes lightly at her cheek.  Obviously her pillow barrier isn't very effective.  Trying to maintain the easy air about them, she turns to face the Genbu, not wanting things to turn awkward between them again.  Not wanting to push him away.  "The what, Chase-kun?"  Oh there's a world of emotions flickering about in her stormy gaze, confusion, regret, acceptance, and worry swimming around as she just stares at the seishi.  And then she's giggling, because he's got a silly moustache flaking across her upper lip.

Chase blinks across to her. She doesn't remember anything. "Nothing? You don't remember anything?" He isn't sure though if that is a good or bad thing, male pride being what it is. He swallows and then flops back on his own pillow, only to wince again at the sudden movement. He really must remember to stop that. "This stuff, I mean," he indicates, looking at the pink stuff on his finger and smelling it. Yep, strawberry. Oh damn, that was supposed to be for Say too... He winces, turning away now and felling really, really guilty. His eyes squeeze shut to try to block out the implications of this only to flash open at her giggling. "Eh? What?"

Mina shakes her head and then instantly regrets it, cradling it between her hands and wincing, eyes crossing at the pain.  "Don't do that," she advises.  "It hurts."  As he flops onto his own pillow, she leans over, worrying about the Genbu now, because he's not looking all that good.  "Chase-kun, Chase... are you... are you..."  She sighs, deciding perhaps it's better not to ask.  Instead, she changes the subject, blinking at the squiggles on her arms again.  "Anou... what is this anyway?"

"Flavored body paint," Chase responds. And it itches too. He scratches at his drawn-on 'bra' only to realize what it is and smirk. He /so/ didn't draw that. Of course, his gaze wanders. noting the bits of clothing still on him, and her. Confusion still reigns though. Hrm. Maybe.... He eyes Mina a little closer, searching her. Surely he would have remembered if he and she... A couple of chuckles as one arm drops over his eyes to shield them from the morning light and such, "My head hurts."

"Flavored what?"  Mina's eyes widen and she blinks over at Chase, poking carefully at him, because a harsher motion would certainly hurt.  "Chase-kun, I had no idea that you were that kinky."  She moves her pillow to rest against the other seishi and rests her head on it, his chuckling easing her own worries.  One wouldn't forget about sleeping with someone else and chuckling about it later, right?  "I think you should get up and make us some coffee," she decides.  She nibbles on her lower lip and sighs.  Then peeks up at the Genbu and decides there's only one way to know for certain.  Slipping upwards a little more, she places her lips softly against his in a chaste kiss, hoping to trigger a memory for either one of them with that action.  If they did anything, they would have had to kiss, ne?

"Flavored body paint," he repeats once more, only to groan and give her a nudge. "Hey, apparently I wasn't the only one drawing with it. So don't be saying that it is just me being kinky." Because she was obviously playing too. "Coffee? That's asking for a lot. I might have orange juice, but I don't know about coffee." And it is the second, the very moment that she is putting her lips on him that the boy literally jumps with alarm. Their lips barely brush before he is pushing her from him with a gasp. Ack! Ack! Ack! "What are you doing?!!"

"Hai, but I didn't buy it," Mina retorts.  At least she didn't think that she bought it.  She might have, but she's not really sure where one could pick up flavored body paint.  That means she's unlikely to have bought it by herself.  "No coffee," she moues, and then is actually bapping at Chase as he jumps up and jostles her, wincing at the result.  Oiii, her head.  "I was testing..."  And then she beams brightly up at him, her eyes dancing.  "Demo I think that resolves that question, ne?"  And she's looking awfully pleased with herself, because that's one less thing to worry about.

Chase just gapes at her for the longest moment. "Mina! You scared the crap out of me!" Lets just note that the last time she kissed him on the lips, chaste or not, there were all kinds of troubles, and he isn't about to have a repeat performance of that. He scooches back in the bed, putting a bit of space between them as if half afraid she is going to try that again. "Testing? You moron. You could have at least warned me."

Mina giggle-winces, because her head hurts like hell.  "Darn it, don't make me laugh," she scolds as she curls up on the bed, snuggling underneath the covers.  Chase it going to have to wash them, they've got fruity stains all over them as well.  "If I warned you, then you'd be expecting it and it wouldn't be the same, ne?"  Mina-logic, gotta love it.  She yawns drowsily and blinks up at the seishi, "Demo, now that you're up... do you have any aspirin?"

Chase throws one of the pillows at her just because, only to wince a little at the throbbing of his poor head. Alcohol is bad. Instead of waking up with a black eye, he is drawn in pretty, fruity colors. Hand comes up to rub at his hair, peering back at her, "Just... just don't do that again like that." Freak. Weirdo. He slips carefully off of the bed and pads out the door, voice drifting from the hall. "Dunno. I might. Kenny? You... guess you are already gone..."

And yet Chase keeps indulging.  Slow learner isn't he?  She yawns again, stretching and snuggling up to his pillow, she nods her head drowsily, "Okay Chase-kun."  Whimpering slightly as the bed jiggles as he moves off of it, she clings even more to the pillow.  "How can you not have aspirin or coffee?  What do you do for hang-overs then?"

"Tough it out," Chase responds, returning with water glass and a bottle of Tylenol. Hey, he found some. This is a very good thing. As he returns, he nearly trips over the empty peach schnapps bottle with a smirk. "And when was the last time that you got drunk, little girl? You seem to be handling it pretty good."

"Why tough it out when they make drugs for these things," Mina retorts, reaching for the water and Tylenol eagerly.  Downing two pills with a quick swallow of water, and then following it with the rest of the glass, she whimpers, waiting for it to take effect.  "Mrmmm?  Drunk?  It's been a while."  She curls up on the bed again, deciding to sleep the pain away.  "Demo, I don't drink much.  I'm a cheap drunk," she adds blearily.  Peeking over at him, she motions him closer.  "Come and keep me warm?"  Darn Genbu, do they have the air conditioning running full throttle?  It has to be over 90 degrees out on the street, but it's almost arctic in here.  "I promise not to kiss you again."

"Because... because... Oh, I don't know. Because a person can?" Never mind he already took a couple of the pills too before returning. Chase sits on the corner of the bed, still looking quite fuzzy and rather brightly painted as well. "Keep you warm?" Dark eyebrows arch and he looks decidedly reluctant to do that. "I... uh... I don't trust you. And just so you know, your breath is nasty."

Chucking the glass at Chase, Mina frowns.  "It does not, meanie-head."  And then she's reaching out a leg to push him off the bed, sniffing as she cuddles up under the blankets some more.  "And why don't you trust me," she asks, hurt, as she peeks out at him from under her lashes.  "We obviously behaved ourselves last night, ne?  So I'm trustworthy, see?"  She's rather relieved about that fact, hugging that truth close to her heart.  She was about to truly freak out, but the kiss eased her mind.  Proved that Chase is trustworthy as well.  He truly is the best of friends.

Chase is shoved but manages to keep his perch. A finger lifts up to scratch at that purple moustache. Distinctly odd, that. "You might try to kiss me again, or something," he murmurs, looking a little petulant. He does continue to look rather reluctant for a moment there, frowning at her, "Depends on your definition of behaved." Nekkid with flavored body paint and drunk in bed remains to be said as behaving. Ah well. He lays back though, moaning, "Behaved. Yeah." He still isn't all that convinced yet.

"I won't, I won't," Mina promises again, "I don't need to prove that you and I didn't do anything more than a little friendly drawing."  She blushes again and peeks down at a squiggle and just shakes her head.  "Wait... what did you write on my tummy anyway?"  Rather hard to read it upside down.  She doesn't go further into her definition of behaved, because by her standards, they didn't, but that's not something that she wants to think about now.  Plenty of time to regret later, when the drugs kick in.  "Why don't you sound convinced," she asks peevishly, peering over at the Genbu.  "You don't remember anything more, do you?"

"Friendly drawing in some very friendly places," Chase amends, turning his head to the side to look across at Mina. "I didn't think I'd ever say this, but Mina... I really hope nothing happened. You know, nothing involving /that/. Alright? Not that it wouldn't have been... good. Just not like this and not now and... you know, right?" He looks rather embarrassed. "It would just screw everything up, and not that I don't like you or anything, but..." Another shrug of his shoulders as he reclines back, only to peer back at her. "You know... I have absolutely no idea what that says. It is all smeared." Stare.

"At least we kept the important bits of clothing on," Mina counters before sitting up and wrapping the blanket around her, the Tylenol finally kicking in.  "I think we'd know if something happened," she soothes softly as she gathers up her shorts and top.  And then she's nodding and smiling over her shoulder towards the other seishi, looking happy for him.  "I'm glad... I'm glad that you feel that way, Chase-kun," she notes quietly.  "It means that you found someone special, just like I have."  And then she tottles over to snug the Genbu, eyes closing as she adds, "You deserve to be happy."  Straightening, she grins and says, "And now I'm going to take a shower.  I can't go home with all this gunk all over me."

Chase snickers, glancing after the underwear and painted Mina, actually enjoying the view for as much as it is worth and until she wraps up in that blanket. "Yeah, I suppose," he finally concedes. He hugs her back and then lets her go. "Although now I  think I'm going to have to get her a new present..." he notes wryly, tossing one of the open paints to the side. Either that or finally show her the various fun to be had with ice. Hrm. Decisions. Decisions.
