Logfile
from Mosiah.
Inner
Ground Weyr
Widest
at the wherhide-hung entrance, the neat cavern slopes back to barely
man-height. There's room enough in here for an ailing bronze, a pair of cots
tucked against the inner wall for any accompanying riders. Glows are tucked
along niches in the wall, shaded to provide a semblance of peace and privacy.
Obvious
exits:
Out
Kihaelth
enters.
Mosiah
is pacing. Yes, pacing. Back and forth, forth and back. His hands are tucked
deep into the pockets of his trous as he paces the length of this cavern and
back again. And again, and again, and you get the picture. If it wasn't rock,
he would have already worn a pretty deep path in the flooring.
Kihaelth
must have a sixth-sense of some sort.. because the blue pokes his head through
the entrance to the inner ground Weyr, his whirling gaze settling on Mosiah for
a brief moment before he pulls himself all the way through and into the Weyr.
Mosiah is rumbled at as Kihaelth ducks his head low. Low enough to recieve a
coveted scritch, that is.
Mosiah
blinks and turns back about to spy... well, Kihaelth. He startles in his
pacing, wandering immediately over towards the blue. "Oh! Good. I was just
going out to find you." He is obligingly scritching at all points able to
be reaches without really thinking on it. "Is she here? I mean, is she
close -and before you say anything to her -don't! That is, don't say anything
to her. Well, I mean... don't ask her to come here because this is really something
of a guy talk I need to have with you. Or... I suppose more of me talking at
you and you can respond with a bob of your head yes or no.. or eat me, whatever
answer suits you best. Okay? Comfortable?"
Kihaelth
rumbles as he sinks his head into the scritching. See.. he really was a good
blue afterall, because Tevya doesn't appear. Kihaelth makes good on his
promise-or, bob of the head that is. One whirling eye is fixed on the healer as
Kihaelth settles to all fours, his tail tucked carefuly about him so as not to
trip anyone. Once he's properly settled and all, he gives a soft whuff to
Mosiah, and continues to watch the other.
Mosiah
is clearly something to watch as he resumes his pacing once more. "See,
its like this Kihaelth... " *pace* "... I don't even know where to
begin. Well, I suppose, I might as well start off by saying that I really like
your rider. I mean /really/ like her. Even more than that. I love her. She's
great... Well," He stops abruptly, throwing his arms at the blue,
"you know exactly what I mean. After all, you picked her on the sands,
right? You know just how amazing she is. I don't even have to go into
everything that I..." Pacing resumes. "Needless to say, she is
everything and a bubbly." Hrm. Interesting analogy.
Kihaelth's
tail-tip flicks in time to Mosiah's pacings..and abruptly stops at the others
words. Crooning, he tilts his head to the side, before a loud huff is given;
which is quickly followed by a shake of his head. He's amused, really he is. As
Mosiah continues though, Kihaelth obligingly falls silent to listen to him,
only breaking in to answer a question with a soft whuff or an amused rumble.
Never though, does his gaze leave the healers form. Nope. He's not letting this
one out of his sight.
Mosiah
continues on, not loosing a beat. "And I'd certainly like to think that
she feels the same way about me. I mean.. Faranth, she puts up with me. And as
quite a few people can tell you, Kihaelth, I'm a bit... eccentric? Yeah, I
admit it. Unbalanced. And she is just so... so... Tevya just balances me, you
know? And she puts up with me. And she is so accepting of all of my oddities.
That I really cannot let a girl like that go. I /can't/." He stops once
more, looking straight at Kihaelth. "Am I right?"
Kihaelth
dips his head once in an agreeing nod. Yes, Mosiah certainly was one of the
most eccentric humans this blue has met. He afterall, is the only one who likes
to take mud baths. Though.. that squeaking noise is always fun to hear.. Most
things only make that when he steps on them. Accidently, that is...
Mosiah
squeaks when alarmed. It is a rare thing, but has been known to happen from
time to time -namely about Kihaelth. There must be a reason for that. "So,
Kihaelth, Its like this. I sort of need to talk to you about a couple of
things. First off, in no way, shape, or form do I want to take up your place. I
don't want to invade your space or anything of that sort. Okay?"
Aww!
Kihaelth wasn't all that bad! He just liked his mud. And, like most normal
dragons, he liked to have his play things. Mosiah included. Kihaelth though,
continues to give Mosiah his undivided attention. He realized this was rather
important afterall. As another point is made, Kihaelth gives an affirmative dip
of his head and a rumble. Yep. He's following along!
Mosiah
doesn't quite smile as the dragon nods his head, but seems pleased with the
motion. "Oh good. Just so long as we are on the right page here... or
whatever. Anyway, uhm..." He hesitates, reaching a hand around to rub at
the back of his neck. "Kihaelth... I'll never, never ever betray her.
Ever. You have my word in that. I've been as true to Tevya since that day -ever
since I gave her that necklace. And I swear I'll continue to be that way. You
can trust me in that. But... uhm... knowing that you're a guy, and guys have...
well... urges and needs" *snicker* "whatever happens from a flight is
fine with me. Not an issue at all. Alright? But that's beside the point, the
point being that I'll always be there for her and only her -well, I suppose you
two if ever the situation arose, I suppose."
Kihaelth
rumbles once more as he listens on. His whirling gaze picking up speed as this
conversation draws on.. though he's still quite friendly. It must be a sign of
approval, because there is no Mosiah-shaped splatter on the floor of the Weyr.
Yet. Kihaelth though, crawls a few inches further into the Weyr and resettles
back down, his wings rustling slightly as he fixes his gaze back on the healer.
Mosiah
clears his throat abruptly and then stops his pacing. Simple as that. There is
a breath, and then he is turning to face Kihaelth once more. "Kihaelth, it
all comes down to this. I suppose I should have talked to you about this before
the other day out in the cave. But it just sort of happened, and I didn't
expect it to like that. Anyway, I've got to ask you if... if it is okay? I
suppose I need your approval before this goes any further. Do I..."
*fidget* "Do I have your permission to marry... weyrmate... whatever...
your lifemate? Tevya?"
Kihaelth
had been weaving his head back and forth--watching Mosiah as he paced. He'd
gotten so use to the motion, that he naturally continued the process as Mosiah
stopped the process. Leaving the blue to be quite confused as to why there was
no healer where there ought to be one. Until.. Kihaelth back tracks and finds
Mosiah. Which was *much* better. As the question is posed, Kihaelth gives it
due thought. See, he's a serious guy and this was a rather serious issue. One
large eye settles on Mosiah, before Kihaelth finally gives a grunt--prelude to
him standing up and rumbling. He was quite happy with this whole thing, because
the rumble soon turns to an entirely all too delighted croon. Kihaelth for -
That's an affirmative, you've got my permission.
Mosiah
blinks owlishly at Kihaelth for a moment. Okay, maybe two moments. It would
have been three but when the blue grunted, and then stood up and rumbled, the
healer had to take a moment there to reassess his exits for a plan of escape.
There wasn't a squeak that time, just something of a tensing of his muscles as
the healer poises to flee. But then the croon. Ohhh, the croon. That was always
a happy sound, right? Right? Please say so. That panicked look in his face
turns into something a bit more eased, even relieves. "So apparently that
is an affirmative? Its okay with you?" Ohhh, he'll heave a huge sigh of
relief now. He flickers a glance away, mumbling something about a visit to the
Smiths, and then is looking back to the dragon. "So, how much of that have
you already told Tevya?"
Oh
psaw! Really, Kihaelth would've done the squishing by now if things weren't
okay. Still, to give Mosiah a clearer view, Kihaelth continues to give that
delighted little croon. Which abruptly stops as another question is asked, and
Kihaelth shakes his head. Much like a dog shaking water off himself--that's the
effect the blue passes off. See? He keeps his word. As in, none has even been
leaked to Tevya. Kihaelth did need some bartering-material afterall, if he
wanted to expand his mud-wallow...
Mosiah
would have chuckled if he had known that reasoning. Ah well, ignorance is
bliss, or something along those lines. "I just need a couple more days to
finalize a couple of things. Then... then..." He can't help but smile. Not
an evil or mischievous one, but one full of nothing but joy. A delighted sigh
later and he is stepping up to the dragon to give him a rub wherever.
"Thank you, Kihaelth. Your permission means the world to me. Thank
you." And he begins to move out, still smiling.
Kihaelth
obliges with a soft headbutt towards Mosiah. Mine. Seems like more than one
person's been claimed this day.. and Kihaelth follows his new 'play-thing'
outside.. his tail sweeping about behind him as he happily tromps out. Though
carefully--mustn't break his new toy, after all.
