Logfile from Mosiah.

Central Bowl

Seven spindles brush the clouds overhead, displaying a jagged, spired cotillion grey-stoned majesty. The bowl from here is expansively large, extending a full half-mile in both directions, and though a bit of a stretch at times, most of the hubs of activity can be easily observed. Hard-packed ground shows the common pathways, all of them meandering about the craggy bunch of boulders that form a centerpiece within the middle of the otherwise vast emptiness.

The hatching grounds and leadership weyrs are located to the north, while the sounds of herdbeasts noisily allude to the pens slightly east of there. Constant traffic marks the entrance to the westward living caverns, and a glance... [look closer]

  It is a spring afternoon.

To the northeast, you see a blue dragon.

To the southeast, you see a brown dragon.

Clinging to footholds in the boulder-mound are nineteen firelizards.

Green Kelitath, green Zoryanth, brown Sevareth, green Miravith, green Fiviath, gold Chayath, green Zhesteth, bronze Soquilith, and blue Kihaelth are here.

You see a wagonmaster and Shafirah here.

Mosiah trudges out of the ground weyrs, squinting into the afternoon sun as he squishes with each and every step. Spring mud. Such a joy. *squish-squish-squish* Maybe thong sandals weren't the most sensible thing to wear at the moment... too bad. Looking all sorts of clean and shiny -hair is actually unbound from the usual plait- and he is in a brand-spanking new set of cloths. Wow... Just wow... With a pack at his shoulder, he squints some more... "Where is Kihaelth?"

Kihaelth, unfortunately, wouldn't be as clean. Seeing how it was spring. And yes, there was mud. Plenty of it. But it did make for a very happy blue. Who lands not far from Mosiah. The spot chosen for it's delightedly large puddle of mud location. Only after getting a good romp or two in said puddle, does Kihaelth lumber closer. Fortunately enough, it's only his limbs that get coated in the thick mud. Minus the small splatters across his neck and stomach, that is.

Mosiah is squeaky clean. Kiha is a little less than such. This is not good. The healer freezes to a halt as he notices the splattered blue. Doing his best to keep his distance, he swallows once and then offers, "Uhhh, Kihaelth, friend of mine... your lifemate wouldn't happen to be close, would she be?" Puddles are squinted at. Kiha is squinted at. *squint*

Kihaelth snorts once, as he stamps a paw into the ground.  A delighted little croon resonating at the small puddle of mud that is found.  This'll amuse him to no end, rest assured.  Thankfully, Tevya is around to answer for her lifemate.  Which she does as she steps from the inner portions of the weyr.  Carrying several towels with her.  For good measures, you see.  One such towel is snapped out from 'round her neck as she eyes Kihaelth; though a grin escapes despite her intentions for it not to.  "Don't let him get near you Moe.. Kihaelth's intents aren't exactly..good."  Which only furthers that grin on her face.

Mosiah seems to sigh in something of relief as Tevya appears. Ohhh! Goodie! Goodie! Goodie! He flashes her a wide grin, only to be reduced to fidgeting at Kiha is eyed warily. Oh dear. This is /so/ going to put a crimp in his 'plans'. But, seeing as most of Moe's plans never turn out the way he expects them to anyway, it shouldn't be any big deal. "Urm..." Sidling towards Tevya, "You... uh... you don't happen to have the rest of the day free, do you?" An eye always on the blue.

Kihaelth doesn't like plans.  At least not when they interfere with his mud-wallowing, bathing and playing.  And we mustn't forget the mud-romping either.  He's gentlemanly enough though, to pause as Tevya turns towards him..and gives a silent command, which has the blue grunting as he lumbers to a non-muddied portion of the bowl.  "Sorry about that.. He's just a little exicted.  With the mud, that is."  Which means the wallow will be getting a refill sometime soon.. Moe's question has Tevya checking back with the blue..for whatever reason there would be to do such, and she gives a nod in answer. "Kihaelth says we do.  Anything we can do for you?"

Mosiah takes note the Kihaelth's response and winces, and is quick to pipe up. "Oh! This shouldn't take all that long. I was just hoping to head up to Ista for a moment. Then we can be back and you can enjoy the mud to your heart's content, Kihaelth. That is if you both are willing?" He shoots a glance back to Tevya, his smile slight but warm.

"Of course we don't mind.. it'd get him away from all this mud,"  The later being added as a side-comment as Kihaelth 'accidently' finds another mud-puddle to 'slip' into.  Which draws a shake of Tevya's head.  "I swear, Hyzen and Imbriath'll have their luck cut out for them with getting him to listen now that it's Mud season.." Though should one be quick enough, they just might catch that grin.

Mosiah winces just the slightest. Ohhhh, my. And this is the family Moe is going to be entering into... Taking a fortifying moment to clear his throat, the smile resurfaces as he twists his hair back. "Ahhh, the trials and tribulations of wings." A wink later and he is eyeing the blue, murmuring aside to Tevya, "Is it safe to get on him now?" *twitch*

"Well.. I'd honestly say wait a moment.  I think he's going to roll.."  Tevya casually mentions as she watches Kihaelth eye a puddle of mud.  He's wreaking havoc on the bowl..he really is.  Fortunately, he just might not get blamed for it this time.  Kihaelth though surprises even Tevya as he steps over the pile of mud and sticks his maw within reach of Mosiah's fingers.  Must get a scritch first, you know.  "He says he wants a scritch first, and then he'll promise not to get any mud on us.."  Tevya helpfully comments towards Mosiah as she begins to wipe Kihaelth free of some of the mud he'd collected.  "And I'll need just a second to get him clear of this mud.  Then we're good to go."

Yeah, it sure would be a shame to get all muddied up after all the work this Healer put into getting gussied up -well, at least his version of it. His hair isn't braided! *cough* Moe obligingly reaches over to do the scritching to the best of his ability on the blue, mud somehow magically making its way to his hand. "Oh sure. Take your time. You don't happen to know if it is raining in Gar, do you?"

"Not off hand.." Tevya responds with a slight glance to the sky, "Though we might find out if we get close enough.  You thinking of heading that way?"  Squinting towards him as she wipes the last bit of mud off Kihaelth's paws, Tevya offers a grin. "If so, we'll find out as soon as we come from ::between::."  Which was always a comforting thought, no?  Once getting that scritch, Kihaelth is all good to go.  And even offers a warm whuff of dragon-breath to Moe, before scrunching down to the ground.  He's even careful enough to not get his belly dipped into any mud.  See how considerate he could be?  Tevya tucks the used towels into the pack at Kihaelth's straps, before swining up into place and offering an arm down, "So where to, Moe?"

Mosiah offers Kihaelth a quirked grin, leaning over to give the dragon a firm pat on the leg as well in appreciation moments before taking Tevya's arm to mount the dragon. He slips into place easily behind her, arms curling about her waist, as he leans forward to give her a rather chaste kiss on her cheek. "Gar, if you will? I've some business there."

Kihaelth crouches low to offer Mosiah a forelimb to climb upon, before Mosiah can grab hold of the straps and swing into place between nebulea 'ridges.

You take off.

Kihaelth attempts to beat the freeze of ::between::!

Kihaelth Kihaelth flicks in from ::between::

Mosiah glances down at Gar as it spreads before him far, far below. Having absolutely no problems with the height to betweening, he still reorients himself and then jabs a finger down at one place in particular. He leans forward, speaking loudly into her ear so she can hear over the sound of wind and wings, "Orchard!"

Kihaelth makes his way from ::between::, looking quite pleased with himself as he hovers for a brief moment, before taking his usual wing-stride up. This changes as soon as Tevya hears Mosiah's words and gives a nod in response, her fingers then lightly touching Kihaelth's neck as the directions are passed on, and the blue angles himself to head in a steep drop towards said area.

Orchard Path

You travel along a freshly resurfaced path through the middle of a large Orchard. You are surrounded on all sides by large trees reaching for the sky, making a large canopied roof over the path. This roof provides welcomed relief from both the hot afternoon sun and the rain. The trees seem to be divided into sections of Orangefruit, Yellowfruit, Greenfruit and Redfruit trees. A newly carved sign is placed just to the side. Carved on the sign is an arrow pointing North with the words Gar Hold' and an arrow pointing South with the words Grinstead Hold'.

  It is a spring sunset.

Gliding above is a bronze firelizard.

Obvious exits:

Stable Cothold     Gar Hold Courtyard     Runner Field     Gar Stables     Gar Road

Kihaelth looks on as you carefully slide from twilight neckridges and down to the ground.

Mosiah slips lightly from Kihaelth's back, landing ankle-deep in the grasses of the orchard. He takes a couple of long steps away from the dragon, hand lifting up to shade over his eyes as he peers about the area. Scanning from side to side, he seems to sigh softly as he finally looks towards the sunset. "I suppose that'll work." A breath later and he is coming about to offer a hand to Tevya to help her down.

From Kihaelth's neck, Tevya glances curiously down at Moe as she slips her hand into his and slides down Kihaelth's neck, pausing only briefly to turn and offer Kihaelth a scritch, before she turns back towards Moe; a grin on her face as she inidcates the trees.  "Let me guess.  You got sick of getting second pickings of fruit.. and wanted some fresh fruit?"

Kihaelth lowers himself to the ground, before profering forelimb with which Tevya can use to dismount.

Mosiah shakes his head from side to side, keeping hold of both of Tevya's hands. He slowly backs up, shooting a glance up to Kihaelth to make sure the dragon is sticking around. One of those happy, blissful sighs -somewhat sloppy as well- "I'm not here for fruit, Tevya. Actually, there is method to my madness. I kinda-sorta wanted to get you down here without telling you why right off. You'll forgive me my little deception, I hope?"

Kihaelth was indeed sticking around, seeing how he soon settles to the ground as he watches Tevya and Mosiah.  Head settled on forepaws and tail tucked 'round him.. he most certainly wasn't going anywhere soon.  Not like the last time.. "Of course you're not," Tevya responds with a grin.  With more words ready to be said, only to have them held back as she glances curiously at him.  "Oh?" Yup. Now Moe has all of Tevya's attention.

Mosiah offers her a soft smile, "Hopefully that is a good 'oh'." But, he plods on anyway, clutching her hands a little tighter. Well, first he has to lick his lips and then take a deep breath. Okay, now he is ready to talk. "I'm actually here to marry you. That is if you are willing? I know there isn't a harper here or anything. Or a bunch of our closest friends. Or any of the other trappings. And... I know... I know... riders don't really marry. They weyrmate, but, just give me this, okay?" His fretting is evident as he begins to shift his weight from foot to foot. "But I think Kihaelth would be an excellent witness... what do you think? Tevya?"

"Of course it is," Tevya responds with a soft grin, "You just..took me by surprise is all." Which doesn't happen very often.  Not that that was truly a bad thing. Kihaelth was a surprise afterall.  As Mosiah leads her further into the orchard she obligingly follows, stepping closer towards him while gazing around.  Until he begins to speak again, at which point Tevya turns to glance towards him.  "You're hear to.."  A brief repitition of his earliest words that have her looking quite stunned until he's finished and Tevya is still glancing at him with surprise written all over her face.  It takes her a moment to collect her words..but when she does, she's all smiles.  "I honestly couldn't think of a better place or way to do this Moe.. And yes, Kihaelth would be an excellent witness."

Mosiah would faint with relief at this point. It wouldn't be the first time he has fainted. But, it simply wouldn't do at all in accordance with The Plan. But, he does make a noise. Was that a squeak? Sounded suspiciously like one. But in the next breath he is clearing his throat and continuing on without loosing a beat, "Ohhh. Good. Good. I was hoping you would say that." The moment of euphoria is over, another steadying breath, and he speaks. "Well, Kihaelth and I had a talk the other day. Actually I suppose that I talked and he just listened to me. But I think it came off rather well. I asked him for permission to marry you, and he seemed most agreeable to the fact as well. And..." And he is rambling. Give him a moment. "I figured this would be a good place to do this, because.. well, I think I told you I loved you here once. And... why not come here again? So, anyway, here we are, and Kihaelth, and I've just got to say Tevya that I really cannot think of spending the rest of my life with anyone else. And I love you more than... well, more than anything. And I know that if you'll just give me the chance, Tevya, I'd like to make you as happy as you make me?" *wince* That didn't come out exactly like the prepared speech he was hoping to give.

No, fainting most definitley wouldn't be good.  At least not quite yet.  At the squeak, Kihaelth does let loose a small croon.  He does like his squeak-toy afterall.  That croon though is cut off as Tevya glances towards Kihaelth, "I knew he'd been up to something then! He just refused to say what it was."  Amusement colors her face and gaze as she turns back to shake her head at Mosiah, "You've got him keeping secrets from me now!"  She's teasing though, because she soon follows that comment with a kiss, "And that's exactly why I feel the same way.. I think I knew, you know?"  And now it's time for Tevya to become quite flustered as she draws Mosiah's hands closer towards her, "And.. well I'd not want to spend my life with anyone other than you.  You're the one..and I'd love to give you the chance.. If,"  And here she tries to catch his gaze with her own, "If you give me the same chance I'm want to give you."

Okay, the squeak is a little bit louder now before being cut off. Think Tevya can handle a healer bounding into her arms? Alas, Moe manages to restrain himself, even if he squeezes her hands once more. "You have no idea how happy those words make me, Tevya." He begins to draw closer to her before hesitating, and then the scowl. "Oh, faith. Where did I put the..." He releases her hands for a moment to proceed to pat himself down, and apparently come up with something in a trouser pocket. Hand reaches over to take her's, and then his fisted left opens up to reveal a small, somewhat thin banned silver ring. Hey, he is a Journeyman. Its all he could afford. But there is a tiny silver heart engraved on the inside. A breath, "I told you once when I gave you that necklace that you would always have my heart. Well, now I'm giving you the rest. I suppose I could have had a charm made to look like me, but seeing my face hanging from around your neck would have given me the willies. So, would you like to wear this ring." Ohhhh, how he hopes it'll fit.

Kihaelth could get use to this squeaking.  He really could.  It was such a funny sound, after all.  Tevya though, mightn't have even heard it, for all that she's grinning and focused on other more important things.  "And you have no idea how special this is.. all of it," She responds with a slight glance around once more, "I never.."  Shaking her head, she allows that thought to pass off unfinished while returning her gaze back to Mosiah; looking only slightly alarmed as he hesitates, scowls and begins to pat himself down.  It's not everyday that happens.. The alarmed look soon fades though as she spots the purpose of those actions, "I.."  Well she's now speechless too as she glances from the ring to Mosiah.  It takes her another brief moment before she's nodding quite adimantly, "I would like to..if,"  You've got to love those 'ifs'.  Tevya's full of them.  This time though, she has to break away and retreat to Kihaelth's side as she delves into one of the packs and withdraws a small item; before quickly returning to Mosiah's side, "I've been meaning to give this to you.. and..well now's a good as time as any.."  With a slightly shaking hand, she opens the box to reveal a ring--silver.  "I've wanted to give it to you ever since you gave me the necklace."

Mosiah quite literally gapes at Tevya. Two silver rings. If there were gods on Pern, he would be praising them at this moment. Instead, he is just going to chalk this one up to fate. His smile warms slightly, simply watching her. Another one of those blissful sighs later and he is reaching for her hand (Oh, Puh-lease, let it fit one of her fingers!) Gently he places the ring on one of her fingers, looking back up to her, "With this ring, I pledge to you all of me. My life, my love, my self."  A moment later and he is going over all of those words again in his mind. Yeah, that sound right. Not too silly. Not too serious. It'll work for him.

A soft laugh is given as Tevya says, "I guess we had the same idea in mind."  Her words fall short as she quickly tucks the box away before sliding her hands back into his.  Her gaze is on her hand as she watches Mosiah slide the ring onto her finger (it fits!),  before she's glances up towards Mosiah as he makes the pledge.  Yet another goofy grin slides into place on her face at the end of his words.  And then it's her turn as she takes his ring and reaches for his hand; "And with this ring, I promise to you my love, my heart and all of myself."  Which is about all she can say at that moment (lest she break into blabbering) while sliding the ring onto one of his fingers.

Mosiah is in sheer bliss. Bliss. Bliss. Bliss. The very second that ring in on his finger, he simply cannot restrain the temptation any more and is bounding forward to take Tevya up into his arms. And without waiting for another moment, he is giving her a long kiss, despite the smile framing his lips. "I think this all worked out rather well."

Judging from the comments passing through Tevya's head on the behalf of one very happy blue, she's prone to agree.  Arms are wrapped around Mosiah's neck as she grins.  "To say the least,"  Is her first response, before she returns the kiss.  "And here I thought we were just going for a trip.."  Yup.  She still sounds quite amused..not to mention very happy.

Mosiah takes a moment, bends quite a bit at the knee, and then moves to actually pick up Tevya from the ground so that she is quite literally in his arms. Smiling near from ear to ear, he glances back over to Kihaelth, "You're going to have to help me out here buddy. It is a /long/ walk back to Reaches. And as small as you are, Tevya, I don't think I can carry you like this the entire way." Between all of those smooches and happy grins, he eventually makes his way to Kihaelth.

Kihaelth would be all to happy to oblige, and does just that as he lowers himself to the ground.  As for Tevya, she's quite happy to be carried away to Kihaelth, though she cant resist tapping Mosiah's nose, before looping an arm around his neck. Which lasts, until they both reach Kihaelth.  He'd not, for some reason or another, moved a muscle since lowering himself to the ground.  Either he'd found some mud or he'd been told to stay put--but good blue that he is, does offer help once Tevya and Mosiah both reach him.  In the way of a warm, entirely thrilled whuffle and croon.  And one very sneaky blue tail seeks to wrap around Mosiah's feet.  Should the healer not be keen enough in spotting-and avoiding-said tail.

Mosiah stumbles and such over the curling and coiling tail, but this poor healer is so far gone that he hardly even notices the blue's tail. Wobble-wobble-wobble. Thank goodness there is a blue dragon there to brace against. He does something of a giggle. Yes, a giggle, a little reluctant to let her go so that she can get up the dragon, and he can do so as well. "Kihaelth... I've got a feeling that you'll be getting in plenty of mud-wallowing time the next couple of days. No silly lifemates to keep nattering at you to stay clean." Yep, he plans on keeping Tevya very, very busy.

Kihaelth crouches low to offer Mosiah a forelimb to climb upon, before Mosiah can grab hold of the straps and swing into place between nebulea 'ridges.

All of this makes for a very happy blue as he sends one last whuff towards Mosiah and Tevya.  Tevya only rocking slightly as Mosiah stumbles.. though she too doesn't care too much about the stumbling.  Sliding quickly up into place, she drops an arm down to help Moe up, before giving Kihaelth a quick pat, "Home Kiha.. Let's go."  And..Kihaelth raises in the air to oblige.

With careful help from Kihaelth, Tevya scrambles onto a forepaw before getting a lift up and into place 'twixt nebulea drenched neckridges.
