Logfile from Sebastian.

                              Russian Tea Room

------------------------------================------------------------------

The unique first floor cafe is the original Russian Tea Room - featuring intimate leather banquettes in Russian red, gold samovars, Christmas decorated chandeliers, period paintings and shining green walls. The lush red carpeting is an exquisite modern Russian motif, the ceiling glimmers with gold leaf and exotic firebirds decorate the walls. Accents of tinted brass, gold leaf and an amazing ice palace complete the festive ambiance. The spirit of the original Russian Tea Room is alive and as enchanting as ever.

The floor is one long room, with a stairway at the entrance and back leading up to the higher floors. A cherry wood bar is located to the right of the entrance, stocked with black leather tooled stools. Also in the back is an elevator, the mirrored doors sliding open and closed with barely a whisper of a sound.

Dylan(#310) and Reese(#282) are here.

Exit: Exit (to 6th Avenue (Northern End))

Dylan is sitting at one of the tables, apparently enjoying a bit of time to himself as he adjusts to his new surroundings. For anyone nearby, the order he gives the passing waiter is in a decidedly Russian accent, with words and phrases of the language tossed in to make up for what English lacks.

Sebastian strides into the establishment, holding open the door for Reese as any gentleman worth his salt would. He mutters his name to the host, and the pair are immediately whisked off to a table near to where Dylan is located. "So wonderful of you to take a little time out of your busy day to join me, Reese."

"Slow day," Reese replies immediately, "though you know very well that any time I have to spare could very well be yours." As they draw near, then past the table near Dylan, the girl bites her lower lip, tugging Sebastian's sleeve for his attention. "Let's sit here, instead. It feels more comfortable." The waiter shrugs; after all, the city is filled with eccentrics. Clients wanting to sit somewhere else is the least of his worries.

Dylan looks up, watching the entering pair with what amounts to mild interest. Of course, the fact that he's also not looking away from them or hide his attention might be noticed. The fact is, he just doesn't seem to care.  When the tea he ordered finally arrives, he absently pours a cup, never once taking his eyes off Sebastian and Reese. He has to be one of those eccentric weirdos.

Sebastian is tugged to a halt, shooting a questioning glance to Reese, but nodding his head in the affirmative. "Absolutely. Whatever the lady wishes," he drawls, that South African accent of his branding him once more. The young man waves off the waiter and instead pulls out the chair for Reese, smiling over to her, "I rather like the sound of that."

Reese's polite 'Thank you' is all for Sebastian, but as she sits down, the brown-eyed smiling stare is aimed at Dylan. Interest, or mental crosshairs? It seems as though her attention goes back to her companion, her laugh warm and indulgent. "You should, though the pleasure is undoubtedly all mine. I feel so out of place here, but you blend right in." Speaking of not fitting in, another glance is given to Dylan, perhaps just to make sure that he's still watching.

Dylan is most definitely still watching, and indicates the fact by raising his cup to the two as he takes a sip.  A glance is given his watch, but he seems in no hurry as he views the two strangers.  After a moment, he simply approaches the two, giving them both knowing looks as he pauses near their table.  "If I'm not interrupting, I believe we have matters to discuss. If I am interrupting, we still have matters to discuss, but you'll be less happy about it."  With that, he moves back to his own table, apparently awaiting a reaction.

Sebastian noticed the staring, but chooses to ignore it. Is it because he knows he is gorgeous and is used to such looks? Well, not exactly. He just doesn't feel the need to acknowledge such. Smile is all for Reese, "Out of place? Not at all, my dear. You'll leave them all trembling to please you. And, I must say, the very idea of that makes me weak in the knees as well." But, abruptly, they are addressed by Dylan, leaving Seb to blink owlishly at him for a moment. He simply watches in silence, flickering a glance over to Reese with upward arched brows.

Reese laughs, running a hand over her hair with old but now familiar nervousness at being lauded so. "You have an exceptional talent with innuendo, you know that Sebastian? You deserve an award or something, that I always feel unworthy to give." Dylan's approach is greeted with no little surprise, and she rises to follow, noting Sebastian's hesitation with a bright grin. "No worries, dearheart. This is a friend." She stands and walks the short distance between their tables, scooting in and leaving a spot for the man. It's all a show, and Reese is playing up her role elegantly. "As for you, you did happen to interrupt, but I am terribly pleased that you chose to. I'm Reese."

Dylan sits once more, taking up his cup and nodding at Reese.  "It was necessary. I have an appointment to keep, and I abhore being late for appointments. Especially ones as pleasing as this will be."  He's a senshi on a mission, apparently.  "Come, I believe we are all friends, are we not? Sit, it should be a crime in any country to have tea alone, especially when the company is so agreable."  Yes, he said that to both of them.  "We can discuss our common goals as commrades, as we say in my country."

Sebastian offers Reese a wry grin and a twinkle to his eye that has nothing to do with the available light. But, as she smiles and moves to join this other person, Seb does frown the slightest, not exactly looking all that forthcoming. His gaze draws over Dylan before he speaks, "As always, I hope that a friend of Reese's is a friend of mine." Intrigued by his companions actions towards this man, Seb joins as well, "I feel rather like the little lost lamb here, if you pardon the expression. Do explain, if you will..."

Reese reaches over to squeeze Sebastian's hand, murmuring, "Not one of ours, but one of us." She smiles, but tilts her head to a side, eyes blank and neither friendly or not. "I'm absolutely certain that among our ranks, you'll find better company than we two. I would hate to make you late, though I believe that pals are worth dawdling for. But here," she says, slipping a business card across the table. "It's by the East Docks. We have one miko, and her name is Lexie. I'm Akurei." See? She can be businesslike when the need arises.

I don't understand that.

Dylan

Light blonde mixes with near white within the long locks that cover this young man's head, the length reaching to nearly mid-back. His eyes have a decided slant, though the light blue color speaks of pure Eurasian heritage. Of slightly average height, his build lends itself more to length than bulk, any musculature hidden within lanky limbs.

He wears a thick cotton shirt that buttons up the front, the material fitting his form loosely and collar open at the top button. Below that, a pair of slightly faded and close-fitting jeans are held snug by a thin, black leather belt. Midnight hued boots adorn his feet, their surface showing no trace of scuff or scratch. Over all of this, a long, charcoal trench coat is worn, a belt in the same color holding the garment closed.

He is awake and looks alert.

Dylan takes the card, pocketing it quickly.  "I believe you are neither lamb, nor lost. Sakamaku. Rather, Dylan Michailovic, but please do call me Dylan."  A wry grin is given as he pronounces his first name.  "My mother was an American communist that moved to Russia, if you're curious." Well, the name certainly isn't Russian.  "Oh, you are most definitely worth dawdling over, though this task may prove to be incredibly enjoyable, and I never deny myself such things."  That said, he turns to Sebastian.  "Well, come, come. We're on even footing, if you can't trust your commrades, who can you trust?"

See, Reese has so many wonderful uses, not the least of which being able to pick out people like this. And so, Seb gives Dylan a far more assessing look, a touch more appreciative. "Delightful," he drawls, probably meaning it this time. There is a hitch to his lips, amused nonetheless. "Sebastian Davis. Ichijin." Simplicity as always. He turns a smile onto Reese, "I find it absolutely fascinating how this happens so easily. Entertainment in its purest form."

Reese snorts, rolling her eyes upwards. "You can trust your enemies, sometimes, but only if you're holding a knife to their throats. Dylan, nice to meet you. That's... a very impressive name." She peers curiously at Sebastian, shrugging her shoulders. "We're going to be fighting a war together. The least the gods could've done was make it easier on us. We haven't the disadvantages of the other side." She counts dramatically on her fingers, holding up six digits, then raising another. "You make seven, with our miko inclusive. Another twenty two to go, and we're good."

Dylan ahs.  "Have you seen anything interesting lately?" Not that he's inclined to go looking for information, it's not in his nature.  "As I said, I have an appointment to keep, unless the two of you would like to join me? I would very much like to be near .. water."  He's not very subtle. "There is harvesting to be done, and I wish to start with the most amusing."

[Yin] Dylan gets a target. Bwah. Not bad work.

Sebastian draws fingers back through his hair as he offers Reese a soft smile, "Sounds like wonderful advice. And yes, it is nice to meet you, Dylan. A pleasure to know another is around." Curiosity touches his eyes once more as he looks over to Dylan, "Really? You've piqued my curiosity..."

Reese raises a brow, her smile fading for an instant. As Dylan appears unperturbed, however, the girl straightens her back and says, "I think I'll take you up on that offer, if you don't mind." Sebastian gets a wider grin and a nudge in the ribs. "So it's not just women who are susceptible to mystery."

Dylan stands, motioning the two out a side door and into the misty alley.  "I will meet you by the docks, yes? My mode of travel is much faster, but I'll need a bit more practice before I can convey others.. Unless you'd like for me to try?"  His tone becomes one of amusement, oddly enough, as he asks the question.  "I'm sure you're adventurous."

Sebastian grins rather wryly, peering askance to Reese, "I've a wide range of interests, dear. Including your dubious charms." Chin lifts and he bobs his head to Dylan, "Naturally. This should prove to be entertaining."

"I don't doubt our adventure, but I think my priority is ensuring the safety of the oniseishi." Reese smiles brightly, and prepares herself to leave. "But if Sebastian's willing to trust you, then I will too." Take two for the team. Hah. "Dubious charms?" she asks, somewhat indignant. The smile's still firmly in place, though, as she ushers the other two out. "Let's go, then. We can't have Dylan being anything less than punctual."

Dylan reaches out to the two and, providing they don't move away at the last moment, places a hand on each as he simply walks toward a solid wall. Oddly enough, the wall seems to shimmer and then vanish, leaving in its place a similar alley within the area of the docks.  "Ah, this will do very nicely. That's getting easier."  He's near a large body of water, of course it would get easier.

                              East River Docks

------------------------------================------------------------------

The farther east you go in this part of New York City, the darker it seems to get. Shadows cast by the Brooklyn Bridge and the raised parkway seem to keep this area in perpetual semi-darkness. Being near the waterfront, the air in this area is somewhat cooler as well. Apart from the South Street Seaport, which is located slightly north of this location, the area is mostly deserted by the tourist trade. Only hardened New Yorkers come here - the ones that can fend for themselves.

Dirt and grime blanket every dark corner. The smell of fish permeates the air as a number of old werehouses, each probably guilty of at least ten different building code violations, line the shores of the river. With so many places to hide and lurk, the dredges of New York consider this a haven.

Kai(idle)(#238), Dylan(#310), and Reese(#282) are here.

Exits: WE (to Bowery Street)

       SG (to Sanso's Garage)

Dylan exits the alley, both hands in his pockets, and begins to look around.  "Ah, this is much better, no? The air feels better here. I should look into moving into the area soon."  And he would, except that he already has a place.  "Are the two of you well? No... unfortunate accidents?"  Not that he wouldn't find it amusing but it would be inconvenient at the moment.

Welcome to the seedier side of town, or at least this part of town. It might be scarier in say Washington Heights or Harlem, but despite the best efforts of cleaning up Manhattan, the seaport docks remain a definite non-tourist area. Which makes it rather surprising that a rather clean cut looking young man would be out here at this time of night. Perhaps it's the presence of the car garage at the end of the street that might be the reason. Kai's been showing up now and again, sort of haunting the outskirts of the lot without the gumption to actually go inside for a few nights now, something the locals might have noticed.

Reese would pull Bob the arm out of her backpack and fake a traumatizing dismemberment accident, but considering that Bob has already started to slightly decay - she'll probably have to have something done about that - she decides against it. "Everything's nominal over here," Reese offers, tone quiet. Sure, she can defend herself, but there's always such a thing as discretion in the bad part of town. "Though I still don't know what it is that we're doing."

Sebastian reminds himself never to do that again. He hangs back a bit, looking a wee bit frazzled around the edges. And naturally, such a think like that is not at all welcome. Thus, there goes his happy-shiny attitude. Cold eyes peer over to Dylan as he purses his lips. "Just dandy." Although he sounds nothing like it.

Dylan spotted that clean cut individual, and simply lears.  "Ah, yes."  Approaching the man, he affects the lost immigrant look, something he's gotten down fairly well.  "Excuse me. I'm not familiar with the area, and I think my friends and I are a bit lost. Would you happen to know a way out of here?"  His accent might be a bit thicker than before, but all Russians sound alike, right? "Or are you lost as well?"

Kai starts slightly, seemingly startled out of his thoughts by the appearance of the stranger. "Ano.. oh, sorry! Was lost in thought there." Bad habit that. He looks around and blinks at the number of people out here, but he nods at the question. "Ah, that way. West goes back towards Chinatown that way. Further down that way is the pier. Wouldn't go there if I were you. Did you need directions somewhere?" he offers unassumingly with the typical New Yorker tendency to direct tourists anywhich way.

Reese looks at Kai with a touch of surprise, jaw opening and closing at doubled surprise. The fact that he didn't recognize her makes her glad she didn't shout 'Matt!' out immediately, and lets the man take the show. Still, she watches the double of her acquaintance with a mix of fascination and horror, the anticipation of the oniseishi's words chilling her blood ever so slightly. Especially since Lexie was rather fond of this one, but moreso because she's seen Matt's reaction to him. So her eyes lock onto Kai's face, and silently, smilelessly, she watches.

Sebastian is beginning to find this entire excursion rather ill-advised. Still standing a bit away from the others as he attempts to rid himself of the heebie-jeebies. He moves into a spot near the shadows, raking fingers through his hair. That... for lack of a better word... sucked. Oblivious to any Kai's or Matts or anything of the sort, the man draws in couple of breaths before finally lifting his chin to watch. He flickers a glance to Reese, but then attention is back onto Dylan.

Dylan gives a smile that simply exudes peasant friendliness.  "Da, I'm trying to find a friend, but I think we took a wrong turn somewhere. I'm good at getting lost."  A quick gaze is flickered at Sebastian, and he frowns.  "I think my friend may not feel well, but he's not the kind to talk about it. Too.. Macho? Don't want to let anyone know."  Oh, he plans on taking that one to task.. when it suits him.  "I'm afraid they don't speak much, maybe they think I won't understand, da?"  And, if he can get Kai close enough, he may be able to snag him.

Kai has many unresolved issues with Lexie indeed, which is what brought him out this time of night here in the first place. Now his hesitancy to go inside might prove to be a bad mistake as well. Not to mention he really should listen to his younger twin sometime and stay out of trouble. "Oh I see." He too looks over at Sebastian now and looks concerned. "He's ill? There's a clinic not too far away or the downtown hospital if it's serious? I'm a doctor, does he need assistance?" The young blond turns to have a better look, curious gaze in Reese's quiet direction as well. He sniffs slightly, wondering if that scent in the air is from the river or something that died in the sewer, it oddly reminds him of that morgue stint he had to do as a student.

Reese fiddles with her hair tie nervously, then steps alongside Sebastian, murmuring, "I'm not so sure about this." Brows furrow, mouth tightens, and the girl resigns herself standing rigid, looking altogether uncomfortable, though a quick glance around the area makes her positive that she knows where they are. Kai's identification as a doctor gets her eyes further widened, as she finally makes an interesting mental connection. EMT to CSI: she's seen the blonde before at at least one crime scene. "Oh, shit," she comments, then smiles. "You know, I swear I've seen your face around, mister. You might just have one of those faces, though. What brings you to this area?" She's just dying of curiosity, see?

Sebastian is not pleased, at all, and it is actually beginning to show on his features. He shoots one /hard/ glance to Reese, slowly shaking his head from side to side. If he had any clue this what what Dylan had in mind... As Reese comes closer to him, he murmurs very, very softly, "Our new friend is a bit rash..." But with her comments as well, Sebastian is shaking off the effect of the transfer of places, and bolding walking right up to Dylan, "You know, I'm really feeling quite fine, thank you. In fact, I'm fairly sure we don't need any assistance. I can just call us a ride, but I think you, sir." He shoots Kai a beaming grin, before reaching as if to take Dylan's elbow, "Lets /go/."

Dylan elbows Sebastian's hand away, glaring at him coldly before reaching out to attempt to grab hold of Kai's arm.  "Actually, I think he may  have been trying to fool me. It's a good trick, no? Fooling the immigrant unfamiliar with his new country? Da, directions.  Yes. You could guide me? I wish to ask you things about this city, and if this one can't help me, then I should cast him aside."  Reese is glanced at as if she'd just nudged his plans out of order.  "She uses the same lines, I see.  I must learn that, in this country, people do not say exactly what they mean, or mean exactly what they say."

Distracted by Reese's question, Kai makes little notice of Dylan's reach at first. "Uh... I must have one of those familiar type of faces." he replies nervously, wondering if this is someone who knows his brother and perhaps unhappy with his sudden decision to change his lifestyle. Being mistaken could be a bad thing. "I'm just uh, looking for a mechanic I know that's all. She hurt her hand a while ago and I was... just checking up on her." Right, yeah. A doctor who makes housecalls. Sebastian's protests catch his attention and he finally wonders why Dylan's so interested in getting close. First though sadly is to check to make sure his wallet is sitll in his jacket. "Are you sure you're alright sir?" he asks with concern and just a bit of nervousness. Dylan comes under more scrutiny. "Uhm.. I'm sorta busy though, if you want a tour, might I suggest a guide from the tourist bureau instead?"

There's a golden goose-like chain forming here, and Reese with all her insecurity intact is somehow at the end of it. "Sebastian," she whispers in passing, her tone conciliatory and somewhat apologetic as she crosses towards Dylan, snatching his wrist and pressing herself flush against him. Almost threatening, almost angry, but her softly murmured words while nearby only have a trace of those elements. A moment later, she detaches, a wallet raised mockingly in her hands as she backs away. "Sbasiba," she hisses, flashing a malicious grin, and even sending Dylan towards Kai with a little nudge. The blonde's words make contact with her brain too late, and she winces. Lexie's gonna hurt her so bad.

Sebastian watches Reese with calm detachment, lips drawn into something of a wry grin. "Ridiculous," he murmurs under his breath, simply watching Dylan with his same disinterested gaze. Head slowly shakes from side to side, and then he is turning back to Kai with a soft smile, "I apologize for this, and for taking you time, sir. Just a wee bit tipsy was all. Amazing where you find yourself and who you find yourself with. Amazing, really." He moves forward to try to set himself between Kai and Dylan, arms held wide,.

Dylan gives Reese the most adoring look as he's nudged into Kai, grabbing the man about the midsection and trying to sway him toward the puddle behind him.  "This will be nice," is chuckled wickedly as he pushes, putting his weight into it to bring them to the water. If they land? They're going to disappear from sight, and from the location. If not? Then Dylan gets to have a firsthand meeting with the pavement. Either way, the day will have been interesting.

It's hard to miss the shreik of rusty metal-- Especially when an entire barbed-wire gate of it is literally thrown to one side on the protesting tracks.  And viola, there is the miko.. Dressed in nothing but an oversized bathrobe and brandishing a double-barreled shotgun.  Dripping wet, she doesn't look entirely happy about the noise from out on the sidewalk, and boy does it ever show. "You'd better hope you're not spraypainting my fences, you *$#&%$ punks!"  She hollers, looking ready to start blasting buckshot at the nearest interloper.

Kai grumbles in surprise as he tries to back off and ends up stumbling back with Dylan holding onto him. Giving way to the inclinations of gravity, he does indeed end up in the puddle one way or another. Amazingly, both he and Dylan will sink out of sight in a blink. Damn, that deja vu all over again. o_o The outnumbered seishi only has a second to look over at the sound of opening gates and yelp, "Lex-"*splash* Gone.

Reese /could/ physically restrain Sebastian, yes, but decides firmly against it. He is part of her little circle after all, and it wouldn't do for him to be more angry than she can safely explain herself out of. She watches closely, shoving her wallet back into her pocket, and is so distracted that she barely anticipates Lexie's appearance. "Fuck, put the gun away!" she yells, and the warm gush of chi she normally feels from the miko's presence is doubled when her dress is identified. "Shit, shit, shit," she scowls, as both men disappear, with no guarantee from Dylan's side. Another deluge of language later, the girl finally loses energy. "Damn," she concludes, whimpering.

And it is at about this point where Seb is questioning his hasty exit from South Africa. This really isn't turning out to be one of his favorite evenings. But when the miko shows up with the gun, he is about ready to call it a night and walk away. As soon as Kai and Dylan are gone, the man bellows out a curse, glaring at Reese, "Please tell me you didn't just take part in that farce?"

Dylan teleports out.

Kai teleports out.

Lexie looks around, confused to the high hells.  "Uh.. What're you guys doing here?" She calls, blinking. "Where's Kai? I know I saw him a moment ago.. "  She absently puts the safety back on the gun. "Sorry, thought you two were vandals. What's all the noise?"

Let the fireworks begin. Reese cringes, but in the wake of the older man's wrath, surprisingly stands her ground. "I don't think Dylan's going to hurt him. Besides, when it comes down to it, we have a cause. If that cause means picking off individual seishi one at a time to guarantee no gods being called upon, so be it." And here it comes. So Kai's his name. "Um, to be rather honest, you just did. Him and Sakamaku, who apparantly teleports through water." Aaand back to Sebastian. "And I thought I could force him not to hurt the damned seishi, but how was I to know that he was going to randomly disappear? I helped, so I'm going to trust that he won't hurt the guy." Nevermind that Reese seems quite distraught. "Maybe we should've explained to Dylan the rather tenuous relationship we have with the Seiryuu seishi beforehand." One concession. There.

Sebastian is one giant ball of fury. Although, from all outward appearances, he looks rather calm, if a bit tense around the edges. Although, the drawl of his voice could give some hint. He is all eyes for Reese, "What were you thinking? What in the hells were you thinking?" A faint glimmer of that fiery-orange hovers about his clenched fists. "I swear..... I'm going to kill that man, and then I'm going to kill whoever the hell that other person is before /everything/ is ruined. Now was /not/ the time to..." Unable to restrain himself any more, he turns his back on Reese and strides away, right past Lexie, glowering the whole time.

Lexie inhales slowly. Patiently. "Hold up, hold up. Sebastian.." Her tone softens, "Please. Tell me what happened? So the new guy's a hothead.. And just ambushed my doctor, dragging him in a puddle.  This can be repaired, but just stick around long enough to level with me?" She shivers in her bathrobe. Brr. Wet hair.

"I was thinking that no one knows we really exist yet, in the forms that we do. What were you going to do, reveal your identity to someone who might just go right back and kill you?" Reese scowls, not too happy herself. "I was thinking that perhaps it's a little better for one person to vanish, rather than one knowing all three of us. If you so much as move to kill that man, I'm going to have to do something about you, Sebastian." Her threats are vague, true, but never idle. "Everything is /not/ ruined. So just calm the fuck down!" Uh, hi Lexie. "We met Dylan, Sakamaku, in a tea room. He has this weird magic thing, and moved us here. And kidnapped Kai."

Sebastian has a wee bit of a temper when things don't go his way. Spoiled brat. Last time this happened he blew someone's house to smithereens. They are still finding bits of it floating back up onto shore. Lexie's garage might not be quite so safe right now.  He moves down the sidewalk aways, physically trembling in his efforts to keep his temper back. Darkened gaze drifts back over to Reese, "There was absolutely no reason in that whatsoever. None. It was rash. Stupid. He /cannot/ ruin this just to pounce one little seishi. And if this is the thing I'm going to have to deal with on a regular basis..." Slowly, he shakes his head from side to side, eventually looking back to Lexie, just watching her.

Lexie is having nearly as hard of a time gathering herself, considering she's sweet on the kidnapee. Still, the Yin comes first, and she knows damn well that if things get out of control they don't have much of a chance of being back /in/ control. "Kai already had some idea from his brother, also a Seiryuu. " She states, voice deadly calm.  "Yes, it was rash and stupid.. But by the same token, we can't hide ourselves from a group like that forever.  Our numbers are building and we don't have the burden of having to remember things, which is just as well, as they have a number of chi-sensitives who aren't having much trouble figuring out our auras, even if they don't know about the Yin gods.  /Once/ we get Kai back, I can convince him not to talk. Then, we'll formulate some sort of gameplan so we aren't running into things this early on in the game."

Reese is certainly not being too helpful in the controlling Sebastian's temper arena. "If this is what you'll have to deal with, then what? Hmm? Will you defect? Quit, maybe?" Granted, her taunting isn't going to get her anywhere, but she's just angry and upset enough to ride it out. "For practical purposes, I really don't want to have to hurt you, Sebastian, but god damn if I--..." The miko speaks, and the girl hushes, falling into a sullen, adolescent kind of glare. All right, so she spazzed a little bit. She drops her bag to the ground, and climbs out of her coat. "Here," she mutters, offering it to Lexie as some form of silent thanks, "You'll catch yer death of cold."

Sebastian continues to watch Lexie for a long moment, murmuring, "That Dylan needs to be reigned in, and now. I trust it will be taken care of." Because if he gets his hands on him, there won't be much of a Dylan left. He returns, walking back towards them, shooting a look to Reese. The man shakes his head from side to side, long braid of hair flopping over his shoulder, "If I can't even trust you to keep your head about you, Reese, that is just going to make this that much more difficult." He gives his fellow onisenshi an almost disappointed glance before stepping away. Without further ado and that tell-tale glimmer, he slashes a finger down through the air, the faintest of sounds much akin to ripping silk. The liquid glimmer of a portal enlarges, a wavery image of an apartment just beyond. "If we are through here..."

Lexie rubs at her forehead, waving off the jacket. "I'll catch a much quicker death of seishi who can't see beneath the surface to realize that we all want the same thing, if only they'd work together." She murmurs, distractedly. "I'll talk to him, Sebastian. ....Good night."

Reese drops her jacket, having been denied, running and making a grab for Sebastian's hand, looking upwards. "Please don't go away mad with me, Sebastian," she nearly pleads, "We both did what we thought we had to do, and shit happened in spite of or because of our efforts. I'm sorry if I did something wrong." Blurting out all the words in her head as quickly as possible, she says, "If we fragment, we won't be able to do our jobs. And more importantly, if you're mad at me, that leaves me with almost no one. Please don't be mad..."

Sebastian looks beyond Reese and over to Lexie. He is silent in his purusal of her, "The seishi might have their own problems and difficulties with each  other, and it is almost juvenile to believe that we will get together and be nothing but sunshine and light. If we aren't all on the same page, Lexie, the seishi don't even have to worry about us. We'll destroy ourselves." With a long breath, he looks back down at Reese. He doesn't speak, but leans down as if to kiss the crown of her head before slipping through the portal and closing it after him.

Lexie sighs and goes to sit down by the evil seishi stealing puddle. "Whatever." She murmurs, pulling out a cigarette and just settling in for the wait.

Reese's smile is small, but present. As Sebastian leaves, she turns towards Lexie and gives her a half-assed, but whole-hearted assurance. "Don't worry. It'll all work out. I won't let us die," she says, raising her chin up. She picks up her things and walks towards home, silent.
