From the Very Depths and Back: Part 5

Each step was a thundering rumble. Olek felt as if this was his march to death, into a depth from which few return. He sulked down the hallway from which he had starved in for the last months, before the Nazis had driven from his home. He remembered it so well. They had barged into his home. The door to its entrance, a familiar sight he had grown up with, suddenly towered down. It seemed like an explosion as the Nazis kicked the wooden frame down, and grabbed he and his mother violently into the street, pushing him into the walking lines of souls into the street.
