Respect

You know, if there's one thing that pisses me off, its disrespect. Man, the other day I was just walkin at the mall and some dude steps up and says "man i'd slap this guy!" WTF?!? And then he just walked off....little two feet nothin punk. And that whooole day my friends were talkin junk about each other. And they're supposed to be friends. All of this makes me think...and it ultimately comes down to this: I live my life by code of respect. I know where all my "friends" stand. I know if you're serious about a friendship and I know if you're not. Its as easy as this.

First and foremost, before you even think about analyzing your friends, you gotta analyze yourself. Are you being real to yourself? I mean, me? I'm not here to please anyone. I'm out here being me and to express me in all ways that I can. I'm not tryin to put on a show or to pretend that I'm somethin I'm not. Haha, you got peepz on the net all the time, tryin to be somethin they're not. Tryin to be players or gangsters or wutever, just cuz they can hide behind a computer screen. Wutever. I mean they should just take they're own advice and "keep it real". But see, I'm not sayin that all peepz are like that. There are people that are true to themselves and thats fine!! Thats great!! But this is just to all the fake people out there. If you be true to yourself, then you can't go wrong. Compromise yourself in anyway, and that's when you have a problem. You don't live forever and you don't even live THAT long as it is... so why try to be something you're not when you don't even know what you are in the first place? Find out....thats the first step.

To find out who your real friends are....its simple. As I said before, I run my life in accordance to respect. I will treat you with as much respect as you show me. Nothing more, nothing less. If you trust me with secrets, I will respect you that much not to tell anyone what you said. But if YOU go against that on ME,.....you're bring down my respect for you that much. That means that theres nothing holding me back from doin the same to you. If you treat me as an equal then you are seen as one. Its as easy as that. By seeing through these eyes I know who my real friends are, and I know who'll be there when I need help. You know, some people think that you can't define the word, "friendship"...but I can. Its just the ability to maintain a relationship of high and equal respect and trust. That is what it is.

I've had my share of fake people and empty promises in my life, but what I've learned is much more valuable. The people that stayed through it all is what matters. What you will find out is that there aren't too many people that you will find that will be that close to you. But that doesnt matter. Its all about the quality, not the quantity. Its not like a guestbook or anything...haha ;).
