Arrival to School

**Author's Note: I thought this was a spiffy little writing, so I then thought, Hey, why not post it on your page. So here it is.

I've decided that most humans aren't really alive. They generally disgust me. You can't see that they aren't really human at all until you pierce the skin and look into their absence of soul. For instance, I pulled into my school's parking lot today feeling every bit of heart, of soul, of emotion that Hayden was putting into "I'm to Blame." And while I was finishing my cigarette... "Come get me, I'm ready..." I could feel that, every bit of emotion that he must have felt to write something that beautiful, I could feel his helplessness... "my mind's changed, will you take me?" I was feeling that. I threw the butt out of my window, a new song... "I bet we'll stay in bed for days and never leave, I never want to leave..." I turned the car off, grabbed my bag and my Dr. Pepper, opened the door, locked it and what is it I heard and saw? I saw a piece of shit car driven by some skinny 'I wanna be a g' white kid with his speakers blaring "Like Whoa." Now, I realize that different people have different tastes in music, but when you go from the heart-felt, raw emotion of any Hayden song to the mindless crap of Black Rob... I suppose it was just a shock to my ears. But it was okay, I blew it off, chilled even. I let that anger leave me. As I walked to the building, I began noticing things I'd rarely thought about before. Such as the fact that there were only two kinds of vehicles in the parking lot of my school; red-neck trucks and wannabe "g" cars, laced with either gold rims or mud and cow shit. My car was one of the very, very few without a theme. My car seemed to belong to a person, not an image. I entered the building, walked to my class, did the homework I should have done this weekend, wrote this and began the waiting process for 2:44, when I could go back to Hayden... "I never want to leave, never want to breathe..."
