Types of Common parties:
Welcome party for newFarewell party
Welcome party for wives/husbands of new students.
Schedule of Common parties:
As there are two semesters in Saitama University and foreign student can get admitted both of these semesters, usually there will be two welcome parties and two farewell parties for the students. The schedule for one calendar year is as follows,1st Welcome party: May (1st week)
2nd Welcome party: November (1st week)
1st Farewell party: March (2nd week)
2nd Farewell party: September (2nd week)
Welcome party for wives/husbands of new students will be held on after the discussion of the BASU family and the newcomer (wives/husbands).
(Usually these parties will be held on Sunday)
Organizers of Common parties:
Who will be organizer?
The new student who get his/her welcome party from BASU, will be the organizers for the common parties for one year.
Duration of the organizer: If someone admitted into October session. Then he/she will be organizer till the welcome party for the next batch of October session.
Similar criteria will be applied for the April session student.
As previously mentioned before that there are two semesters in one year that is why there will be always two groups of organizer. The new group should cooperate the old group.
Duties of organizer:
1. Invitation (This is usually carry out by the e-groups mail).
2. Work distribution
a) Shopping (to prepare feast)
b) Cooking (for feast)
c) Gift
Above jobs will be distributed among the other BASU family member. If any BASU family member have any particular problem then he/she can consult with the organizer.
3. I-house booking (Usually our common party place is the meeting room of the international house)
4. Program schedule/Entertainment.
N.B. Organizer will discuss with other BASU family member but the authority of final decision will lie on them.
Expenditure of common parties:
There is no organization or fund to support the expenses of the common parties. So, until now the students of BASU family support this expenses.
The process was, total expenditure was divided by the number of the students except the new students.
Recently, someone is confused about this process. Therefore, we are trying to take decision about this.
