There are likely to be millions of people with either harmonic or non-harmonic moon on an Angle who do not suffer pancreatic disease of any kind. Of those, some might (I know one right now) even have the “diabetic or cancer significators” mars/neptune and still not have pancreatic problems.. Further, they may have all the pancreatic significators and end up getting cancer of, for instance, not the pancreas, but the thyroid.

Does that mean the Angle/moon is part of the significator is incorrect? Right now I am unwilling to come to that conclusion. There is something about it that is right. And right now I do not have to have answers to all these potential “significator malfunctions.”

The process of building up a significator for a condition involves time and continuous discovery of other astrological conditions which cancel, augment or diminish the meaning of the significator. And they are not always even in the same chart as the significator. Unfortunately, such modifiers are not found just because one wants to find them. They are almost always found by accident, or at best are learned guesses over time.

To make clear what I mean by such secondary shapers of a condition, I show some examples below for other conditions :

• As shown in the paper on Bruce Lee’s death, the occurrence of two suns on Angles in his 1st chart—along with his allergic significators on other Angles—depressed his allergic sensitivities until (additional) progressed mars and neptune to Angles overcame the protective effect of those suns. They are shown in his progressions for death at Paper on Lee .

• As shown in the paper on pedophilia, on a social level venus in any other sign but Gemini, which is on an Angle and which rules or is in a 5th house is an astrology which effectively cancels the sexual part of a pedophile significator. One example was shown in the chart of Lewis Carroll, found here Paper on Pedophilia .

• Again, as shown in the paper on pedophilia, Adolf Hitler’s pedophile significator—which occurred in his 5th chart of sexuality--had an anti-significator in the form of blocking all interest in an active sex life in his 3rd chart of mind. The ultimate result of those sets of astrological vector forces was that his personal interest in women was toward either shallow (a possible interpretation of venus in Gemini) or immature, child-like women—e.g., some one like Eva Braun. As much as he was later vilified by history, there was nothing in all his biographies that claimed Hitler had a sexual interest in children. (Hitler’s astrology is in the appendix of the pedophile paper, link above.) No one knows for sure whether or not he had any sex life.

• Getting back to medical conditions, the second paper on Alzheimer’s disease, which includes several other diseases--dementia pugilistica, for instance--demonstrates near its end that the individuals who had jupiter on an Angle lived longer and were less destroyed by their disease significator than those who did not have it. It gets even more complicated when dealing with mercury on an Angle. According to the Halevy model, it is associated with the thyroid. As an Angular significator, mercury has multiple possibilities. It has already been seen (three instances) that on an Angle it cancels the retardation significator in the 3rd chart, and it doesn’t even have to rule a 3rd house. With regard to sexuality, on an Angle and ruling or in a 5th house, it stands for bisexuality. In the astrology of Alzheimer’s disease, combined with saturn on the same OR separate Angles and with the main part of the Alzheimer’s significator, it stands for mind (mercury) destroyed by darkness (saturn).

Mercury is also involved in the significator for Parkinson’s disease—again through its association with the mind. Although always in the main significator, it did not always occur on Angles as the second part of the significator—at least so far.

Since all the senses work through the mind, it seems likely to me that mercury on an Angle will also be involved as a part of the significator for sense afflictions like deafness and blindness.

Additional thorny questions arise with respect to the use of the Halevy model for identifying tentative endocrine problems. What if several planets are on Angles. In fact, with this astrological method, several planets on Angles are not all that unusual, especially when we include the harmonic permutations. Which comes first? What laws determine which will manifest? And what if the individual has, for instance, moon and mercury on Angles equally, and experiences a thyroid disorder but not a pancreatic on?. What if he experiences neither right up until his passing and dies of another form of cancer, say prostate (I would immediately look in his 5th chart and the 5th house of his 7th chart...)? Or of old age?

There is no reason a planet, e.g., mercury, can not have more than one meaning at the same time. But there is a long way to go before its only meaning(s) in specific contexts can be positively identified at the outset.

Right now I do not have examples for all those questions nor their possible answers. At present the aim is only to show that these pancreatic examples all have moon on an Angle in the chart which shows the disease. Until more can be known, I work under the worked-for (30 years research), reasonable assumption that a method which has already shown more results—and those more consistent—than traditional astrology is not going to suddenly change from being highly elucidating to highly confusing. Therefore, I assume the potential problems discussed above are problems because of my incomplete knowledge of all the rules of modifiers rather than that the method has suddenly stopped working.
