The Zenobia Ro - Ro Ferry
Above is a picture of the Zenobia Ro - Ro Ferry, just before she went down. She sank in Larnaca Bay in 1980 on her maiden voyage with no lives lost. She is just over 175 meters long, weighs 10,000 Tonnes and is completely intact, however the interior is starting to deteriorate quite badly now. She has made a great home for marine life of all kinds, including large shoals of Amberjack,Grouper and Barracuda which are often seen on her.
The Zenobia dive starts at 17 metres and the bottom is at about 43 metres. Not a dive for the faint hearted !!
She still has her original cargo including articulated lorries full of goods, earth moving vehicles and even what is allegedly the Captains car on board.
