Swedish music, entertainment and Swedish Christmas sweets. ************************************************************************ Emily at Finnish Language Camp This summer Emily Rohde attended the Finnish Language Village, which is part of the Concordia College Language Villages in northern Minnesota. The Languages Villages introduce young people, ages 7 to 18, to twelve world languages and cultures including Chinese, Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. The Language Villages are in six-day, thirteen-day or one-month sessions. Emily attended the one-month session and received high school credit. Rev. Brown's Log Cabin This summer there has been a renewed interest in Rev. Daniel Peter Brown's Log Cabin in Riverside Township, Clay County. A committee has been organized to help the Clay County Historical Society preserve the 1860's cabin and also to educate the public about Rev. Brown and his cabin.
