I am Debabrata, born and brought up in the beautiful city of GUWAHATI the capital of ASSAM. Situated in the North-East of India, Guwahati is well connected to outer world thru RAIL, ROAD and AIR. Nature has dumped all her natural beauty resources to the north-east as a whole and Guwahati is no exception. It is surrounded by hills in all three sides and on the other side flows the mighty BRAHMAPUTRA. Growing up in such an environment automatically makes you a true lover of NATURE. I was born to Late Ananta Chakraborty and Namita Chakraborty. From the childhood days I used to see "MAHABAHU" flowing constantly at the backyard of our house teaching us 'time and tides wait for none'. On the other side of our campus stands the big "NILANCHAL(with Temple of Goddes Kamakhya on it)" teaching us 'life is full of hurdles and one must adept in overcoming them'. My idea of life is 'have peace and let others have more peace'. I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate(B.E.(Hons.), 1987) from AEC(GU) and did my M.Tech.and Ph.D. in M/c Design from IIT, Kharagpur. I have chosen teaching as my profession and I really like, love and respect the profession. I have a special affinity for learning diffrent languages. I believe in GOD for the simple reason that GOD takes care of nature which is perhaps the best thing available to mankind. My academic area of interest is MACHINE DESIGN with specific interests in the following fields :
