In Loving Memory of
Gregory Michael Sanders

~February 15, 1975-April 25, 1999~

This is not a great pic, but it's the only one I have of us together.
It was taken 2/7/99 after partying all night at Studio 54.

Greg was an incredibly smart, talented, funny, sweet guy. He loved to dance and spent 4 nights a week at Studio 54 night club at the MGM. This is where I met him. We had such a great time together. Although he could dance way better than me, he didn't seemed to mind. I chose this background and music rather than something sad because he wasn't a sad person. He was happy, and he loved disco and he just loved to dance.

Dancing was only one of his claims to fame. He was a Brandeis University graduate to which he had gotten a full scholarship. He won many academic awards throughout his school years and had a bright future ahead of him. He chose to come back to Las Vegas to be with his family and was working for a company called Travelscape when his life was tragically cut short at only 24.

Greg left behind the most wonderful parents, Mario and Darlene. He also had two great brothers, Mike and Alex, and a terrific sister named Melody. They had the kind of family some people could only wish for. They liked doing things together whether it was just watching TV or going out to dinner. I know that they would do anything for each other and Greg was always right there to help out no matter what. He will be missed by so many people.

These are some pictures that Greg took recently with his webcam.

And here are some photos I got from his mom.
He was so cute.

Well, I hope there are computers in Heaven, because I have a few things I need to say to him.

My Darling, Greg:

In the short time I knew you I was blessed. You were more wonderful than you could ever know. That was what was so amazing was that you gave of yourself without ever giving it a thought. I will always treasure the memories I have of you. You were so special to me, and I never told you, but I love you. I thought that there would be more time, but there wasn't. If only there was more time. I don't regret it though. Even though I'm hurting now knowing that I can never talk to you or see you again, I'm glad I met you. I'll always remember.

There is a song by Garth Brooks (even though it's country) that seems appropriate now. It's called "The dance". The chorus goes:

And now, I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain, But I'd of had to miss the dance

I thank God that I didn't miss the dance. I'll never forget the way it felt to be in your arms. I love you, Baby.

Until we meet again...
Jennifer
