Great Plains Outfitters offers a variety of hunts: Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Antelope, turkey, Pheasant, Sharptail Grouse, Coyote, and Prairie Dogs.
We welcome Firearms and Archery hunters. We also tailor our hunts to fit any physical limitations the hunter may have.
Our hunts take place in Western South Dakota on private leased ranches. We use various hunting methods. Tree stands, blinds, or spot and stalk are a few of the methods used. We use whichever method is the most effective at the time.
We do a limited number of hunts each year so we can maintain good quality animals and provide a quality hunting experience.
Included in our rates are motel accommodations, noon lunch in the field and transportation after arriving in camp for all hunts except Coyote & Prairie Dog Hunts.
Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Antelope, Turkey, Upland Game Bird, Coyote & Prairie Dog Hunts are available to both resident and non-resident hunters. Unfortunately by state regulation Elk Hunts are only available for South Dakota residents. Contact me by phone or mail for the various rates.
We will help you with the application process. We do request you contact us as far in advance as possible as licenses are available only in limited quantities.
We also welcome Wildlife Photographers, both still and video, to film various species; Bighorn Sheep, buffalo, Elk, Deer, Antelope, Turkey, coyote & Prairie dogs.
