After being greeted warmly by Troy & Amy (our hosts) and resting up a bit, our first stop in Omaha was Johnny Sortino's pizza. We went with Troy and Amy. They have an arcade that Hallie and Troy played. The next morning Troy & I went out shopping and hit some favorite spots; The Lithuanian Bakery , the Wild Oats Natural Foods Market, Hy-Vee Supermarket, and Crane Coffee. It was neat how near everything was to their house! We came home with apricot danish and coffee for everybody for breakfast before leaving for the Henry Doorly Zoo. As Troy works at the zoo, he could get us in for free!!!

The last day we toured in Omaha was very fun! We went to the Durham Western Heritage Museum, The Old Market, and Popeye's. The Western Heritage Museum is a place you just have to go to experience! It used to be a train depot in the early days of Omaha. I really liked learning the history of what made Omaha what it is today. We all loved the talking statues and the historic soda fountain. We (and Amy) highly recommend this museum!
We of course had lots of fun at the Old Market, it is almost impossible not to have fun there, visiting places like Omaha Clayworks, New Realities, Etc., and "Ye Olde Candy Shoppe!". Ending the day at Popeye's chicken was perfect!
Next stop: Kansas City.
