| New cats coming when I learn to draw them... hehe! You enter a warm, but dark, room, and look around, hoping to find another candidate or rider. You see a dusty, empty dragon couch and are disappointed. You hear a soft mewing sound and freeze, slowly turning around. You sigh in relief--not that you were scared, of course--when you see a small, calico kitten.  "Cute, huh?" You turn around, again, and see a girl with pale red hair and bright green eyes standing, hands on hips, yet grinning at you. A small, gray canine sits next to her.  "That's Smidge, the cat. Her full name's Smidge Mask, 'cause of the markings on her face--don't they look like a mask?--but we just call her Smidge. This little guy's Peir; I got him from Talor Cliff. "Smidge is from here. We've got a bunch of kittens, y'know? Wait..." She leans forward, inspecting you. "No, you're not a real feline person... oops, no offense." You make a questioning noise. "Oh, sorry. This is the cattery. We have a dragonload of kittens that need homes, but not enough people. You wouldn't happen to want a feline, would you...?" You shrug and say you'll think about it. "Really? That's great! I'm Kylii, by the way. No dragon, not flits, just half a million felines and canines." She looks up, her eyes shining. "I would so like a Runner, but it's too much work..." She sighs. "Anyway. Why don't you have a look at our kittens? You might like one." You say you will, and she grabs your hand and nearly drags you into the next room.      "That's them. We have a lot more, but they're still very young. Sign the registry when you've chosen, or send us a flit with a description of the feline you want, and we'll wait and see if a cat is born that fits your description... Or you can look at who adopted one. Well? Will you? You can take up to four..." You look at the kittens, and try to make up your mind. |
