Gold: Gold dragons are generally the largest. Always female, gold dragons are
expected to mate and have the largest clutches. They only look to (are Impressed by) girls,
except in rare and extremely unusual cases such as M'iki.
Bronze: Bronze dragons are the largest males. They only mate
with gold dragons. Bronze riders are expected to be leaders and strong-minded boys are chosen
by bronzes.
Brown: Brown dragons are the second-largest male dragons. The
largest browns sometimes are as big as small bronzes, and sometimes a brown will mate with a
gold but this is not encouraged. Browns are usually wingseconds. Browns are Impressed by
only boys at Middle.
Blue: Blue dragons have the most stamina of all male dragons.
They usually mate with greens, regardless of rider gender. Blues also have the
best ability for finding queen candidates. Blues, like browns, are Impressed only by boys
at Middle.
Green: Green dragons are the only other kind female. They
generally don't mate because chewing Firestone makes them unable to clutch. Green dragons can
be Impressed by boys or girls, but give their rider a lower status.
White: The rarest kind of dragon. Whites are reserved for
those whose weyrs I really like, because they're well-written, their persona has an
undeniably large amount of character, and they've evidently shown that they can and will be a
good dragonrider, in every way.
