Weyrharper

"Welcome!" says a man's voice, a steady tenor. You turn and see a man of about 29 Turns, proudly wearing his Harper Blue, with a blue fire-lizard perched on his shoulder. You smile at the coincidence; a harper got a blue fire-lizard, and blue is the Harper trademark color! "My name is Rantell, the resident Masterharper in Middle Weyr, and my blue fire-lizard Tiker. This is Journeyman Singer Melana," he indicates a lovely, but short, blonde haired girl, who blushes and looks away. "Studying for her mastery!" he says with pride. She turns even more red.

"Rantell, you don't have to tell everyone that..." she says, in a soft soprano. Her gold fire-lizard eccos her in chirps and whistles. She almost inaudibly says, as she strokes the fire-lizard, "hush, Morrigan..." She glances up at you with her light blue eyes and casts them away again.

"Nonsense!" he grins. "Feel free to ask Melana, my son Cliv, or I to sing for you. Melana might even teach you some of her favorite song's lyrics." He chuckles as she blushes once more.
