He was ready. Luca drew his sword, whirling around, and advanced, but M'iki was the faster. He danced away, twirling his weapons on his arms, feeling adrenaline rush through him. This is what he had been bred to do; not ride dragons, but fight!
He lifted one arm. "Mother Ocean!" The rune responded, and before Luca could get within reach, a great tidal wave flooded the area, magically only effecting Luca. He spared a glance at Kylia and regretted it. The older, stronger man recovered and lurched forward, slicing M'iki's arm quite neatly. He bit his lip and refused to cry out, dodging Luca's attacks. He would not let him win.
And Luca knew that they'd get no where. He turned, and threw his sword at Kylia. She screamed, and ducked her head.
When she lifted it, M'iki was standing in front of her, blood pouring from a fresh wound on his chest. He was breathing heavily, but stood his ground. Luca advanced.
"Mother Ocean...!" M'iki raised his arm. "Kindness Drops!" Three drops of water fell from the sky, and the wound ceased to bleed. He grinded his teeth together as he took a risk, leaping forward to attack Luca head on.
He was rewarded with two slashes on his cheek, but he also hit the man's head badly. Curse it, he had to win this.
He spun around and raised his arm, calling on the last of Mother Ocean's battle tricks. "Mother Ocean... Tsunami Tsuki!" A beam rose from the ground, cutting through it as if it were nothing, heading for Luca. He shrieked, but then was silent as it slashed through him as if he were a stick.
M'iki whirled one of his weapons on his arm, stopping it suddenly, as Kylia stood. She stuttered, trying to say something.
"M'iki... I..."
He didn't hear the rest. He dropped to his knees, overcome with pain.
