A Prayer For My Love
This weekend you went away
To a land across the sea
without you my mind is grey
But selfish I must not be
You are helping those who are in need
Caught in a world of hate and greed
My love you are in a dangerous place
If anything should happen I don't know what I'd do.
But Bless people with the Lord's grace
And God I leave this up to you
Please keep my true love away from harm
Make sure he sleeps in a place that is warm
Protect him from all bad that could be
Please God, do this for me
I pray the trip there and back is great
And as for me, I'll sit and wait
For I know when my love gets back
I'll be the one here for him
Even if he does have a girlfriend
