Well, I am now a whopping 20 years old...21 on April 22, 2000
so watch out! I spent two years after hight school in
freezing cold Sioux Falls, South Dakota where I was a student
of Communication Disorders at Augustana College. It's a great
school, but very expensive and to be perfectly honest, I had a
terrible sophomore year (like a lot of people do). I got
way too involved...you name it, I did it...I was a Peer Advisor
for a semester, on Chapel Staff, worked at the info desk,
worked at a grocery store...so much stuff that I began to
hate being there.
So, where am I now? I transferred to Idaho State University
in Pocatello, Idaho for a lot of reasons...and I love it! I am in the Speech
Pathology program out here and it's wonderful! The people out here are
great and I'm slowly but surely getting used to being at a school with 12,000
students rather than 1,800! Seriously, it's great!
I'm a Christian! I was raised in the Lutheran Church and am very active
at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Pocatello. I am helping to form and
lead the Youth Band as well as teaching high school Sunday School and helping
with the high school youth group...I love it!
Hmm...spare time...I LOVE TO PLAY THE GUITAR!!!
I've got two acoustics...a six string Washburn and a 12 string Seagull.
I get most of my music (tab) from
OLGA
and you should too. Although the OLGA has closed, you can still get a ton of
music here. They still have a lot of really good tab on there, just no new stuff.
I try very hard to play the music of my favorite musicians, but I can never compare to their
wonderful talent. Favorite musicians I hear you saying? I love to
listen to the Indigo Girls, Ani Difranco, Liz Phair, Natalie Merchant,
Dar Williams, Fiona Apple, Dave Matthews Band, Ben Harper, Ellis,
Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, Brenda Weiler, Chris and Johnny, and tons more!!!
When I am in the mood I like to write some poetry and
try to make them into songs. Who knows, someday you
may see me on the Music Awards or something! Let's
cross our fingers on that one!

So who am I? My name is Miranda Joy Hansen. I was born
in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and moved to South Sioux City, Nebraska when
I was 4. At 10 years old my family and I moved out to Boise, Idaho where
I now call home. I graduated from Borah High School in Boise in 1997.
To tell you the truth, I hated high school and was semi-antisocial...if that
makes sense. Oh well, I'm done now!
