So What Deux...

There are many valuable compounds that are worth their weight in gold when used properly. Pills and medications are needed sometimes...they truly are...But not for everything. And not at the drop of a prescription pad. Medication has become a way of life for everything. You name it and there's a pill for it. It has also become a way out. It's very easy to take a pill and say " I'm all better now." Who is kidding whom? Excuses abound for every action and being politically correct has overtaken common sense. Medication has become politically correct. Feel good solutions are bandied about and reality has become distorted in the process.

Doesn't anyone just sit down and have a good cry anymore? Or is crying considered to be dysfunctional? Instead of thinking before acting or speaking, people react blindly without ever considering the consequences. Too many excuses are thrown about to ever let consequences teach what happens if one oversteps certain boundaries. I do not accept the lightly tossed " sorry...just kidding" apology any more. Neither do I accept the old "so and so made me do it." I refuse to listen to any excuse that starts with "it wasn't my fault...my day was rotten." Another one that offends my senses is the really tacky "...it's because of my childhood." It's one thing when you are a child. A child has very little control over life. A child is dependent on parents, teachers and so forth. There are kids out in this world living a terrible life as I type this. It has been that way since who knows how long. But this I do know.

Once you are away from your parents you have no need to let them or whatever happened then control you now. If you still let them control you...physically, emotionally, verbally or through memories... then you haven't grown up and you have not learned to think for yourself. You have not learned to put things in perspective...or to use all that has come your way as a means to grow spiritually... and there is no pill in the universe that can do that for you.
