Why was MUD Mage written?
At some point, every avid gameplayer looking on the Internet for good
multi-player games encounters the nefarious text adventures known as
MUDs. After using standard telnet software, it becomes obvious that
something more is needed. My search for a good MUD client ended in
disappointment; at the time, some clients offered ANSI emulation, some
offered configurable hotkeys, and some offered trigger capability. None
provided all these before requiring registration.
Thus MUD Mage was born. I designed it to aid my survival in PK MUDs and
to encourage the Windows MUD client market, which was lacking.
Who should use MUD Mage?
MUD Mage is for anyone who wishes to play MUDs with more ease than with
raw telnet services. It supports a wide variety of features that should
be more than sufficient for the MUD environment survivor. MUD Mage will
help newbies and experts alike.
