Dutchman Dennis van Wijk was born in Oostzaan in 1962. After playing at De Volewijckers (Amsterdam) and Ajax he started his career in England at Norwich City. Belgian champs Club Brugge became his next big club, where he got a transfer to Ionnina and Xanthi(Greece). Van Wijk ended his playing career as defender in Belgium at Fc Knokke. At Fc Knokke he became trainer, and soon his training career would be coast and Flemmish related: KV Oostende, Daring Blankenberge Cercle Brugge and in 2003 KSV Roeselare till 2006. In 2006 at Tilburgs Willem II (Holland), and KV Oostende (2007) again St Truiden VV and in 2008 KSV Roeselare. In 2008 he also became scout for West Bromwich Albion (England).
