Luna and Artemis are the guardians of the Sailor Soldiers. Luna lives with Usagi and Artemis lives with Minako. Luna had discovered Usagi when she saved Luna, on her way to school, from a few boys tormenting her. Usagi had removed a bandage from Luna's fore-head revealing her crescent moon. Later, Luna crept into Usagi room through the window. Luna began to talk which frightened Usagi. Luna convinced her that she was a pretty soldier named Sailor Moon and she gave her a beautiful brooch. Usagi used the brooch to transform and from then on, Luna would continue to train Sailor Moon and would help find the other Sailor Soldiers. Artemis discovered Minako and introduced her to being Sailor V. Together, they met up with Luna and the other Sailors, and when they did, Sailor V became known as Sailor Venus. Artemis then would help guide the Soldiers to defeat their enemies. In the first season, Artemis was the commander of "Central Control", a computor that was activated in the Sailor V Video Game which Luna used for information and reconnaisance. Artemis was also in love with Luna and it was not until later did Luna share her love back. Their future kitten, Diana, came back in time in "Sailor Moon Super S" as an aid to Sailor Chibi-Moon. |

Queen Serenity was the Queen of the Moon Kingdom 1,000 Years ago and Princess Serenity's mother. When the Moon Kingdom was attacked by the Dark Kingdom, the civilization was destroyed everyone on the Moon was killed except her. She used the power of the Silver Crystal, a magical, sacred stone that has been passed down for generations on the Moon, to banish the Dark Kingdom into a mirrored dimension. She also used it to send everyone (including Princess Serenity, Prince Endymion, the Sailor Soliders, Luna, and Artemis) to a new life on Earth 1,000 years into the future. She appointed Luna and Artemis to reunite the Soliders and guide them if the Dark Kingdom ever escaped. Queen Serenity then died on the Moon Kingdom because of the powerful affects of using the Silver Crystal. She then became the goddess of the Moon. In part one of "Sailor Moon R" (the second season), Sailor Moon was sucked into a vortex by a cardian. Queen Serenity, who still lived in Sailor Moon's mind, appeared and revived her. She gave her a new brooch for a more powerful transformation, and she returned the Silver Crystal to Sailor Moon. When Sailor Moon returned, she was still not powerful enough to defeat enemies. Thus, Queen Serenity granted her a new weapon call the "Cutie-Moon-Rod" which she used to destory her foes. |

Naru is Usagi's closest friend. The two of them are almost like sisters. They both attend the same school and seem to go almost everywhere together. They both dislike Umino in the begining, but she later starts to notice his good side and starts to date him. She has probably had the most problems with villains than any other secondary character. In episode #1 of Sailor Moon, her mother was used by a youma from the Dark Kingdom to gather energy. She also fell in love with Nephrite from the Dark Kingdom and was devistated when he was killed right before her eyes. She was also attacked again in the first season by another one of Zoisite's youmas. In Sailor Moon R, she was attacked by a Cardian from Ail and Ann. Also in Sailor Moon R, when the Black Moon Family brought the Black Crystal to present Tokyo, Naru spoke with Usagi, and her words seemed to hint that she knew that Usagi was Sailor Moon. And in Sailor Moon S, her boyfiend, Umino, was attacked by a Daimon while she watched on helpless. And Tigers Eye also extracts her Dream Mirror in Sailor Moon Super S. |

Umino goes to Usagi's school and has a reputation of a nerd. He is a bit of clutz and is very weird. He is very smart and is constantly getting good grades. In episode #1, he received a 95% on a test when he didn't even study! He tries to impress Usagi and Naru alot, but in the begining they dislike him. Gradually, Naru starts to notice his good qualities and the two of them start dating and fall in love. In the first season of Sailor Moon, he is hypnotized by a youma and does some outragous things (like flipping up Miss Haruna's skirt!). He also has his energy drained away by a Cardian in Sailor Moon R. Plus, his pure heart crystal is extracted by a Daimon in Sailor Moon S. He also dresses up as Tuxedo Mask in the first season and tries to defend Naru from a youma. Though he is unpopular and acts strange sometimes, he does very caring stuff for his friends, like making fried shrimp for Naru (her favorite food). |

Motoki works at the Crown Game Center, which is the video arcarde where Usagi and the others like to go. He is the only one of Usagi's friends that is not attacked by any monster of enemy. Usagi had a crush on him in the first season and suspected that he was Tuxedo Mask. She had a crush on him until she fell in love with Mamoru. In fact, Mamoru is Motoki's close friend. Makoto also had a crush on him after she met him. But when Usagi and Makoto found out that he had a girl-friend and that he thought of them as his younger sisters, they were heart-broken. His girl-friend is Reika, who was a carrier of a Rainbow Crystal, and his real little sister is Unazuki who is introduced in Sailor Moon R. |

Tsukino Kenji is Usagi's father. He is a journalist and tries to help out his wife, Ikuko, as much as he can. In the first season, the whole Tsukino family goes on vacation where they run into an evil spirit from the lake. He tries to protect his family from the spirit, but of course has no chance of victory over the ghost. And in Sailor Moon R, he and Shingo go to a virtual reality center where they run into Usagi with Mamoru and Seijuurou and Natsumi. While there, he is also attacked by a Cardian and has his energy drained away. When he first meets Mamoru, he is very angry because Usagi is dating someone much older. |

Ikuko is Kenji's wife and Usagi's mother. She is a home-maker and is a very talented cook (Her children love her pancakes). In the first season, Rei wants help with sewing a wedding dress for a contest and goes to her, but Ikuko is of no help. And when Usagi cooked Curry for the family, she prentended to enjoy it just like everyone else did, even though it was terrible. When she meets Mamoru in Sailor Moon R, she likes him very much even though Kenji gets angry. And when Chibi-Usa stays with them, she treats her very well, as if she was her real daughter. When Chibi-Usa disappeared, she made some extra tea so there would be enough for Usagi and her friends and Chibi-Usa. But when she brought it out and noticed Chibi-Usa not there, she had forgotten why she brought the extra cup out (In other words, she forgot about Chibi-Usa). In Sailor Moon "Super S", she is targetted by Hawks Eye and is tricked by him and has her Dream Mirror taken from her body. |

Shingo is Usagi's little brother. He is sometimes very annoying and treats Usagi like a ditz (His nickname for her is "Supid Usagi"). In the first season, he kicks Luna because he dislikes cats and does not want her to stay in the house. However later he starts to like Luna. He is a big fan of Sailor V, but starts to like Sailor Moon. He has a small crush on a girl from his class named Mika and tries to make a doll for her because he broke her old one. In Sailor Moon R when he goes to the virtual reality theater with his father, he is attacked by a Cardian and has his energy stolen. He also tries to defend Ami from Tigers Eye is Sailor Moon Super S because he has a crush on her. But he later discovers that she likes him as if he were her little brother. |

Grandpa Hino is Rei's grandfather who owns their shrine. Rei stays with him because her mother is dead and her father is a business-man who travels abroad. He and Rei often argue and he gives her alot of chores, but they care alot about each other. He is the one who trains Yuuichiro into being a worthy priest at his temple. He is also a very perverted man who flirts with young girls alot. He was a holder of a Rainbow Crystal, and when Zoisite tried to extract it, he surprisingly withstood his dark powers. But he couldn't defend himself from Zoisite forever and was turned into a youma. In the second season, he creats a martial arts class for women, but it is corrupted by Cooan and one of her droids. Though he is an old, small man, he is very physically fit when it comes to martial arts. And since he is a priest at his temple, he is also very spiritual. |

When Yuuichiro first appears in Sailor Moon, he is drunk and is sleeping on the steps of Rei's shrine. He is taken in by them and is trained by Grandfather Hino. But is training is very strange because Grandpa Hino makes him swing from trees, which he is not very good at. At the shrine, he falls in love with Rei but never asks her out because he thinks she has better things to do. He is the son of a wealthy family and has a house in a mountain skiing resort, which explains why is so good at skiing. He is also somewhat clumsy, but he is very strong and athletic. He helps Grandpa Hino when he teaches a Martial Arts class. Also when Cooan attacks Rei, he tries to defend her, but is injured by Cooan. In Sailor Moon S, he thinks Rei has fallen in love with Haruka and thinks Haruka is a man. Thus he tries to beat-up Haruka, but cannot. He then leaves the shrine heart-broken, but returns when he finds out that Rei is not in love with Haruka. He also gets jealous of Mamoru when he stays at the shrine for a while because he thinks Mamoru is in love with Rei. |

Ms. Haruna is Usagi's English teacher, who also teaches Naru and Umino in the start of Sailor Moon. She gets very angry with Usagi when she arrives to school late, gets bad test scores, and eats in her class. She is very romantic and seems like she is always searching for love and going out on dates. Umino would sometimes follow her around before and would reveal gossip about her. Like the many other characters, she has also been attacked by monsters. She was a victim of Jadeite in the first season TWICE! And in Sailor Moon R, she has her energy drained by a cardian in a park, and again by a different cardian while on a date. |
