Rei is very hard-working person, but yet, she also has a very short temper. She lives and works as a shrine maiden at the Hikawa shrine with her grandfather. Because of this, she gets a lot of chores and responsibilities. She attends the TA Private Girls' School, seperate from the other girls. Rei hasn't experienced true love yet, though she has a crush on Yuuchiro. She dated Mamoru before him and Usagi fell in love. Rei is very spiritual because of her work as a priestess at her shrine. In fact, she can read a sacred flame in her shrine to fortell the future. She can also use anti-evil scrolls to banish away evil spirits. Usagi and Rei get into arguments almost all the time and never seem to agree on much. But though the two quarrel, they have a very strong bond of friendship and care about each other. Rei appears to make fun Usagi a lot, but she is actually being a great motivator for Usagi and is trying to toughen her up.

  Sailor Mars is a great overall Soldier. She has agility, strength, and some of the strongest powers. She can use her ability to forsee the future to sense enemies and danger approaching. Plus, she can attach her anti-evil scrolls to an enemy's forehead to paralyze it. In battle, she steps up to the role of the leader of the Inner Soldiers. She also tries to keep Sailor Moon focused and confident while in desperate situations. But just like in her human form, she can get very mad very quickly. Sailor Mars never gives up and keeps fighting 'till the battle is won. Her bravery and dexterity make Sailor Mars a warrior that the Sailor Soldiers could not do without.

Mars in Roman Mythology was Ares in Greek Mythology. He was the god of war and was a very dark, cruel god who desired to fight in battle and see pain.

Rei says this to transform into Sailor Mars

Fire Soul:
After saying these words, Mars sparks fire between her two index fingers, she then shoots the fire at an enemy.

Evil Spirits, BEGONE!:
Sailor Mars or Rei says "Akuryou Taisan" ("Evil Spirits, BEGONE!") to reveal one or many of her anti-evil scrolls. She normally attaches it to an enemy's fore-head, paralyzing it.


Sailor Moon "R" (Second Season)

Fire Soul Bird:
Sailor Mars lets loose a giant bird made of fire that attacks the enemy. To cast this bird, she throws her anti-evil scroll then shoots fire toward it. The fire breaks through and forms her bird which flies into an enemy.

Mars Star Power, Make Up:
Rei says this to transform into Sailor Mars

Burning Mandala:
Sailor Mars says this to create several rings of holy fire that combine into the palms of her hands. She then shoots them toward an enemy.



Sailor Moon "Super S" (Fourth Season)

Mars Crystal Power, Make Up:
Rei says this to transform into Super Sailor Mars

Mars Flame Sniper:
Super Sailor Mars creates a burning bow and arrow after saying these words. She then aims the flaming arrow towards her target and fires it. This is her most powerful attack.
