The "Sailor Wars" were Holy Wars between evil and peace that began when the galaxy was first created. Warriors born from Stars and Planets called Sailor Soldiers fought for peace. These wars continued on until the legendary Sailor Soldier named Sailor Galaxia defeated the origin of all evil in the galaxy, Chaos. The strongest Sailor Soldier then sealed Chaos into her own body, which was the only way to save the whole galaxy. Peace then returned to the galaxy. However, Sailor Galaxia's body began to spoil little by little ever since she had sealed Chaos within her. Before Chaos could start controlling Galaxia's mind, she sent her star seed to the new born planets of love and justice, where Chaos could not find it. Galaxia hoped that someone would recover the star seed and embrace it. After Chaos started controlling Galaxia, she realized that nobody else in the entire galaxy was strong enough to be relied upon to take care of the galaxy. Thus, Galaxia beleived that the galaxy's future must be shaped by her own hands alone, just like a god. So then Galaxia started to collect star seeds of stars and planets throughout the galaxy. She continued to expanded her territory until she would rule the whole galaxy.
During the Sailor Wars, Sailor Galaxia destroyed a planet called Kinmoku, which was the home planet of the Sailor Starlights and Princess Kakyuu. Before Galaxia could take her star seed, Princess Kakyuu fled to Earth to find the "Light of Hope" to stop Sailor Galaxia. The Starlights followed her because they hoped that she could rebuild teh planet with her powers. On earth, the three Starlights posed as idols so they could find their Princess. At the same time, a mysterious toddler named ChibiChibi arrived to Earth and lived with Usagi (ChibiChibi is Galaxia's star seed and Usagi is the person destined to take care of it). Once the Starlights found her, Princess Kakyuu told them that they still needed to find the Light of Hope to stop Galaxia and save their planet. Later on, Sailor Galaxia finally arrived to Earth to collect the final star seeds and rule over the whole galaxy.
