The Silver Millenium was a time of peace for all the planets in the Universe. The Moon Kingdom was the center of all it's peace. The Moon Kingdom was home to a holy stone past down from generations known as the Silver Crystal. The children of the Moon Kingdom watched over Earth and helped it grow and evolve to be a superb people just like them. The goddess of the Moon and Ruler of the Moon Kingdom was the kind and happy Queen Serenity, and her daughter, Princess Serenity, was destined to follow in the Queen's footsteps and become ruler of the Moon. The Sailor Soldiers (Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus) all protected the Moon Kingdom and were the princesses of their planets. Together, they made up Princess Serenity's court and were sworn to watch and protect her. Prince Endymion was the Prince of the Earth and shared his love with Princess Serenity. Luna and Artemis also lived on the Moon and were Queen Serenity's loyal servants.
One day, an Earth woman named Beryl became an incarnate of Queen Metallia, an evil and powerful entity. Beryl brainwashed the people of Earth with the evil forces of Queen Metallia. She led the Earthlings to believe that they wanted to live for 1,000s of years so they would get revenge on the Moon for the immortality of it's people. With her new army, she became Queen Beryl of the "Dark Kingdom". With her ambitions to rule the Universe, she took over the Earth and then attacked the Moon Kingdom with her dark rorces. Beryl was also in love with Prince Endymion and she wanted him to rule beside her. Prince Endymion, had escaped from Earth and went to the moon to protect it. But, he had to disguise himself from the people of the Moon for they would have accused him of being a traitor to the Moon Dynasty. Before the war began, Princess Serenity gave Prince Endymion her Star Locket so he would always remember her. During the battle, Beryl offered Prince Endymion to rule with her, but he refused to do an evil. Beryl was heart-broken and enraged and she had Metallia kill both Endymion and his love Princess Serenity.
The war against Queen Beryl, Queen Metallia, and their army left the Moon Kingdom crumbled. The Moon Kingdom was destroyed, but before the Dark Kindgom could destroy her, Queen Serenity used the Silver Crystal to banish Queen Beryl, Queen Metallia and the Dark Forces into a mirrored dimension. She also encased the Seven Shadow Warriors, the Negaverse's most powerful warriors, into the Silver Crystal. Queen Serenity then used the sacred Silver Crystal to reincarnate Princess Serenity, the Sailor Soldiers, Prince Endymion, Luna, Artemis and the rest of the people of the Moon to a life on Earth 1,000 years in the future (our present day). This process would unfortunatley rid them of all their memories of the Moon Kingdom. Queen Serenity died on the Moon alone after using the Silver Crystal, for the power of the Crystal was so great, she was to weak to live. Queen Beryl had later reawoken and with her army, she began to gather energy to revive Queen Metallia once again. With Metallia, she could perform her final steps to getting her vengence and ruling over the Universe. This is where the Sailor Moon Saga starts.
