This season starts out at the Tomoe mansion, and it appears to be spring-time. There is a familiar-looking baby in a stroller that is sitting up staring into the trees. In its thoughts, Neo-Queen Serenity is standing on a huge crystal platform. She says "I am the person who embraces everything." She then changes into a different form of Sailor Moon. "And I was a soldier born from love for all... Eternal." Back at the Tomoe mansion, Tomoe Soichi picks up his laughing child. A small breeze blows, and he turns around to see Setsuna standing there.
  "Hotaru," she says, "I am here to take you with me."

  Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako, Luna, and Artemis, are all together in what appears to be a park. They all discuss about how happy they are to be High School Students and to be 16 years old. Mamoru and Chibi-Usa with Diana arrive. Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako, Luna, and Artemis are all confused as to why it looks like Chibi-Usa is going somewhere. To their surprise, she reveals that she and Diana are returning to the 30th Century today. Meanwhile, there is a dark vortex with floating mirrors and Nehelenia floating horizontaly, remarking about how comfortable and quiet it is in her cold world. She says that this world is "the best place for my beauty to be kept forever."
  "My honourable ladyship!" an echoing voice cries out. It causes Nehelenia to open her eyes as she asks who it is and why they have interrupted her sleep. The voice replies only by saying that it is "someone who can make your wish come true." The voice says she will release her from her seal. Nehelenia is confused, then suddenly he world collapses, and she finds herself floating in the sky high above Tokyo.

  At another park, everyone is seeing Chibi-Usa and Diana off. They are all happy for her, but Artemis cannot stop crying. She runs several feet forward and says thank-you to them all. She then begins her speech to send her home: "Listen, guardian of time and space! Open its gate, cracking the sky in front of me! I am calling your name, almighty God of time and space, guardian father, Cronos! Please lead me! Please protect me! Open up the light way in front of me!" The pink light from the vortex appears behind Chibi-Usa. Nehelenia, still floating in the sky, notices the light. The voice shows her everyone still living. It says that she has not taken her revenge yet. Nehelenia states that she thought they were crushed into the Earth after she escaped towards the shadow of the Moon. Nehelenia now gets angry with the voice and demands an answer to why it awoke her. The voice convinces her that the ones who put her in a seal are still living, and that she should be the queen of the "blue planet". Nehelenia keeps saying "I can't forgive them!" until her evil black mirror appears. The voice explains that it crystallises her hate and revenge within her mind. The voice then orders her to break the mirror, and then that she will achieve her revenge and once the pieces of the mirror fall upon the Earth, everyone will experience fear and despair. The voice repeatedly ordered Nehelenia to break her mirror, then finally she did. Millions of tiny peices of glass scattered about and fell across the whole Earth. We see Chibi-Usa is about to leave, but she notices the pieces of the mirror falling upon Earth. Everyone else notices it and they think that they are falling stars. Ami says that there seems to be too many of them, and Rei feels a sense of uneasiness. As they are all staring up, a peice of the glass falls into Mamoru's right eye. He says "ouch" and rubs his eye, but he thinks some dust went into his eye. When he removes his hand, Usagi notices his eye blinking and flickering gold. Chibi-Usa's vortex starts to vanish and she can't believe the "Cherry Way" would disappaer. Minako and Artemis conclude that the falling stars are probably what interferred with the vortex and made it disappear. Makoto and Ami console Chibi-Usa, telling her that she can go home after the stars are done falling.

  Inside an aquarium, Michiru and Haruka are admiring the fish. They go outside and gaze the falling stars. Michiru looks into her mirror and says she felt some evil energy close to the moon a little while ago. The stars stop and they notice everyone around them saying "ouch", collapsing, and covering one of their eyes. Suddenly, something cut Haruka's hand. Michiru sucks it out and realizes it is a tiny piece of glass, the class suddenly starts to glow. Haruka immediately knocks it away and then it grows into a monster. The same type of monsters quickly grow around them and the other citizens flee. Nehelenia's voice says that she will kill everyone affiliated with the Moon Kingdom and orders her "Mirror Parodies" to kill them both. One is about to attack them, but just before it does... a voice whispers "Dead Scream" and a huge blast destroys the Mirror Parodies. Haruka and Michiru notice it is Sailor Pluto who saved them. Sailor Pluto is holding an infant wrapped in a cloak as she says that she has seen large "twists" in time and space and that is why she has returned. Haruka realizes that the baby is Hotaru and demands to know why Pluto brought her her. Sailor Pluto answers only by saying "The time will come very soon. The time when we will need her power." She is interrupted when the Mirror Parodies start to grow again. Sailor Pluto puts Hotaru down in a brush and tells Haruka and Michiru to transform. They do, and they all start to destroy the monsters by hand. One parody pushes Sailor Uranus off the side of the building, but Neptune grabs Uranus and the parody falls. Sailor Pluto is caught by parody and yells to another parody not to hurt Hotaru. It is about to cut Hotaru, but the screams of the three Soldiers awaken Hotaru. A huge blast destroys the parody, and the symbol of Saturn appears on Hotaru's fore-head. It crates a huge light and then we see Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune floating in a quiet dimension. They are then powered up to Super Sailor Soldiers. They return back to the top of the building and combine their attacks together to destroy the Mirror Parodies at last. They notice that Hotaru has already grown into a little girl since they last saw her, still in her cloak. She says "The revolution is coming. As it is, the princess would be in a crisis." The voice then laughs and says that everything is now ready.

  On another day, Usagi and Mamoru are relaxing in a park and Usagi has a ballon with her. Usagi tries to talk with Mamoru, but he does not listen. Usagi gets very angry at this, and starts to yell at him. While she yells, light from the sun reflects off of Usagi's balloon and blinds Mamoru. In this light, he sees Nehelenia laughing, and then his eye flickers gold and he is in pain. Usagi notices it and tries to help him, but he pushes her away and she lets her ballon go. He apologizes and Usagi suggests that he go home and get some rest. He leaves with his hand over his eye and Usagi is very worried. Later, Usagi is with Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako at a restaurant. They all notice that she is sad and ask her what is wrong, and she begins to share with them what happened with Mamoru. At a large house, Haruka and Michiru drive up with groceries, and they are greeted by Hotaru, who is still a little girl. Hotaru refers to Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna as "Haruka-poppa", "Michiru-momma", and "Setsuna-momma" respecitvely. Hotaru ran off to catch a butterfly, and Haruka and Michiru remark that since they found her, she has been growing at great speed. Setsuna says that her physical appearance is not only growing, but her intellect is also increasing at astonishing speed. They look over and discover that Hotaru has disappeared. They look through all the rooms in the house and cannot find her. Then they look in the last room and find her kneeling in the dark. She starts to create an image of the solar system and Setsuna states that she is showing the Big Bang and she is "simulating all the events from the past in high speed." They all marvel at the planets notice how beautiful the moon looks. Suddenly Hotaru collapses. Haruka holds her in her arms and she begins to speak slowly: "A white moon covered by black evil darkness the shining blonde hair is attacked by an evil wish." The image of the solar sytem shows the moon being covered by a black cloud. Hotaru says that she is scared and begins to cry on Haruka.

  Later on, Usagi and her friends are window shopping and they try to cheer her up. They all start to admire two attractive guys, and as they do, an image of Nehelenia appears on the window behind them and stares at them with a sinister grin. At Mamoru's apartment, he is having some trouble working his computer. His eye flickers gold and he gets so angry he throws the keyboard. He then realizes that something is wrong and that he needs rest. At Usagi's house, Usagi is looking out her window. She puts her head down for a moment, and then Nehelenia whispers "I caught him." Usagi gets frightened and wonders what happened. Later that day, shadows of Nehelenia appear on mirrors all over the city. As this happens, a scary noise awakens Hotaru in her sleep. She can see Nehelenia's shadow and she becomes scared. Suddenly, Sailor Saturn appears in front of her. She touches Hotaru's forehead and Hotaru remembers everything of the Sailor Soldiers and her past. Hotaru, now as a young girl, walks into the room where Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna are talking and says that a crisis is approaching the princess' and their gaurdians and that "the evil darkness is coming". The next day, the Inner Soldiers are at Rei's shrine at a meeting. Rei says that last night she felt an evil power enter into her Holy Mirror. Just then, Mirror Parodies grow form the ground and attack them all. They transform and destroy them all, but they all grow back again. Tuxedo Mask appears and introduces himself. As he is speaking, his eye flickers gold again and he holds his eye. The others are distracted by this and are caught by the Mirror Parodies. Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Pluto appear and reveal Sailor Saturn to them all. Sailor Uranus uses her "World Shaking" to destroy many of the parodies. Saturn orders them all to cast their power into Sailor Moon. They all do so, and Sailor Moon's brooch changes into a golden brooch. With it she says "Moon Eternal, Make Up" and transforms into an upgraded Sailor Moon with wings (known as Eternal Sailor Moon). Her kalaid-moon-scope changes into a different type of rod and she uses it to destroy all the parodies at last. After that, she looses her double transformation and her new weapon and changes back into Super Sailor Moon. Saturn remarks that that was her "real figure". Usagi takes Mamoru back to his apartment, but he leaves her abruptly. He looks into his bathroom mirror and Nehelenia is shown holding him (unnoticed by Mamoru) with her arms wrapped around him. She says "White Moon Princess, I'll take all that you love!"

  News has broken that there is a disease that causes people to lose energy to get up in the morning. Unknown to everyone, this is caused by Nehelenia's mirror curse. Because of this, there is a majority of people absent in Usagi's school. While in school, Usagi, Minako, Ami, and Makoto notice a girl staring into her pocket mirror. Makoto notices a dark energy coming from it and knocks it away and it breaks. The girl is extremely devistated and Usagi notices her eye flicker gold just like Mamoru's eye did. Usagi later goes to Mamoru's apartment in worry. Inside, she sees lots of mirrors everywhere and she finds Mamoru staring into one. She approaches him, but ends up stepping on a mirror and cracking it which catches Mamoru's attention. He is again acting strange and asks her to leave so he may rest. Later, the five inners and Chibi-Usa are talking about Mamoru and the disease at Rei's shrine. Rei is the first to conlude that the disease might be realated to mirrors, which explains the incident with her Holy Mirror and the monsters that were mirrors. They all agree, but are interrupted by Setsuna and Hotaru who appear out of nowhere. The two of them warn the others and tell them that there must be a curse with mirrors. All of them transform and go to Mamoru's apartement building where Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune are waiting.

  When they arrive, the four outer soldiers stay outside to gaurd the building from Mirror Parodies, and the others go up to Mamoru's apartment. On their way, Sailor Moon finally realizes that all this is Nehelenia's doing. The others say that is impossible because she was put in a seal, but Sailor Mercury says that the seal must of broken and she has returned. The reach his apartment and he is staring at all his mirrors. Nehelenia appears at the other side of the mirror, at the same time, that the outer soldiers arrive. Nehelenia explains that she will get revenge and bring all that Sailor Moon loves into ruin. Nehelenia brings Mamoru into the mirror with her. Sailor Moon is powered up by everyone into Eternal Sailor Moon. Mirror Parodies appear out of the other mirrors, but Sailor Moon destroys them. However, she cannot stay as Eternal Sailor Moon, so she de-transforms back into Super Sailor Moon. Nehelenia says that by the next dawn, Mamoru's mind will be hers forever and she challenges Sailor Moon to reach her. Suddenly, Sailor Chibi-Moon starts to disappear. She luckily does not fully disappear, but she de-transforms and collapses.

  At Rei's shrine, they are all in their human forms while Chibi-Usa is resting in a bed. Setsuna says that since Mamoru is inside the mirror, Chibi-Usa will not be born in the future, which is why she is starting to disappear. Usagi can't take the pain of losing Mamoru anymore. She cries and her tears change her brooch into Eternal Sailor Moon's brooch. She transforms and flies into the sky and disappears. The others decide to go and save Mamoru, so they transform and teleport into Nehelenia's world. Usagi is seen in a dark world with Nehelenia welcoming her. Nehelenia says that she remembers Usagi saving Chibi-Usa from falling to her death in Super S. She says that Usagi will not have a miracle again (The "miracle" refers to Pegasus saving them). Nehelenia disappears and Usagi appears in a wild blizzard. At this time, Nehelenia is in her castle and she notices, in her mirrors, the others Soldiers coming to rescue Mamoru and Usagi. Nehelenia becomes angry and throws a glass cup at the mirror. The mirror breaks, and shards go through the mirror towards the Soldiers. The Soldiers, all still holding hands, notice the shards and try to resist them. However, the force is to great and they get seperated into different groups.

  Sailor Uranus and Sailor Mercury appear to be in an uncovered land in ruins at daylight. They are both confused and decide to search around. Nehelenia appears and they try to attack her. But she reflects all their attacks and they cannot do anything. Then Sailor Mercury realizes that she can defeat Nehelenia with her mind instead of her physical attacks. Uranus defends Mercury, and Mercury discovers that this is all just an illusion and that this Nehelenia is just a mirror parody in disguise. They break free of the illusion and destroy the mirror parody. Suddenly they are grabbed and are put into large mirrors. Nehelenia says that nobody can escape her nightmare. We are then taken to dim forest with Sailor Neputne and Sailor Mars. Neptune decides which way to go, and as they are running, they see Nehelenia in front of them. She creates a circle of purple fire around them both, trapping them. Neptune uses her "Deep Submerge" to stop the flames, because she knew that it is only an illusion. But Mars didn't know and she pretended like she did. Nehelenia soon traps Neptune in her hair and uses her as a shield from Mars' Flame Sniper. Mars doesn't want to shoot because she is afraid that she will hit Neptune. Neptune convinces her, and finally she shoots and she hit Nehelenia instead. Nehelenia releases Neptune, turns into a mirror parody, and is destroyed. A few moments later, Mars and Neptune are put into mirrors as well. Nehelenia is sitting in her palace watching everything. She sees Usagi struggling throught the blizzard. She then changes her surroundings to a field of flowers, which surprises Usagi. We then see Sailor Venus and Sailor Pluto in an old stone temple running from a group of mirror parodies. They run outside and reach a bridge. Pluto convinces Venus to cross over the bridge while she will stay behind and take care of the parodies. Venus starts to cross but she realizes that the bridge is old and unsafe. Then we see Usagi talking in the open field. The flowers start talking to her and they confuse Usagi. They keep asking her questions, and pretty soon she forgets about Mamoru and gets into a "dream" in which all she notices are the pretty flowers. Back at the temple, Sailor Venus notices that Pluto is getting injured by the parodies, so she turns around, goes back and uses her "Venus Love and Beauty Shock" to destroy many of the parodies. Her and Pluto start to cross the bridge together with other parodies chasing after them. The bridge snaps, but Venus uses her "Venus Love-Me Chain" to save them. Venus and Pluto then realize that Nehelenia is holding the other end of the chain. She lets it go and they each fall into floating mirrors. Nehelenia then turns back into a mirror parody. In the field, the REAL Nehelenia is saying how much she hates Usagi and how much pain she will cause her. Of course, Usagi can't hear her because she is in a dream. Before Nehelenia can strike Usagi with her hand, Sailor Jupiter stops her hand. Jupiter tries to awaken Usagi, but Nehelenia says that she cannot hear her. She also says that Usagi does not want to leave the dream because if she did, she could see and hear Jupiter. Jupiter doesn't believe her and tries to attack her using "Jupiter Oak Evolution", but Nehelenia shields herself using flowers from the field. As Jupiter tries to awaken Usagi, Nehelenia continually attacks her because Jupiter asked her if she had any friends. When Jupiter collapses to the ground, her rose earring falls off and Usagi notices it. Nehelenia then puts Jupiter into a mirror. Usagi stares at the rose earring and she thinks of Tuxedo Mask's roses, and then she remembers Mamoru and escapes her dream. The surroundings shatter and they are now standing in a dark world in front of winding stairs that lead to Nehelenia's palace. Nehelenia challenges Usagi to reach her palace and save Mamoru. But before Usagi starts to walk up the stairs, they are covered with thorn bushes and Usagi has to painfully crawl through them. Nehelenia returns to her palace and watches Usagi crawl through them. Suddenly, a voice yells "We won't let that happen!" Nehelenia turns and sees Sailor Saturn with Sailor Chibi-Moon. Sailor Saturn puts her Glaive to Nehelenia's throat and tells her to let their Prince and Princess go.

  Sailor Chibi-Moon tries to awaken Mamoru, but Nehelenia tells her that he will never wake up unless the piece of glass deep in his eye is removed, while Saturn still holds her glaive to her throat. Chibi-Moon then starts to disappear and she grabs Mamoru, but he doesn't move at all. Nehelenia then turns into a mirror. Then a blast emits from it, knocking Saturn away. Chibi-Moon starts crying and tries to awaken Mamoru. Meanwhile, on Earth, Artemis tells Luna and Diana that the other people in the city are under the same curse as Mamoru and that they are all now captured within mirrors. Also, Usagi is still trying to climb her way to the palace. Chibi-Moon is again trying to wake Mamoru, and now it looks as if he is responding. But Nehelenia uses her powers to control Mamoru again. Saturn then uses her "Silent Wall" to stop the channel of her powers to his eye. Saturn says that to end everything, she will have to kill Nehelenia, the cause of all evil. She threatens to "unleash the power of death". Nehelenia doesn't like the way Saturn is looking at her, so she attacks her, but Saturn blocks it. Saturn then screams "Silent Glaive Surprise!" Her glaive starts to glow, and then a huge purple light is emitted from the whole palace. Everything goes silent, and just before she slams her glaive to the ground, Chibi-Moon stops her. Chibi-Moon collapses to the floor and Nehelenia blasts Saturn's glaive away and seals her inside of a mirror. Saturn's mirror appears on the wall where all the other mirrors appear. Usagi finally arrives. Nehelenia says that it will be dawn soon and that everyone under her curse will be under her control. Usagi notices Chibi-Moon and holds her in her arms as she watches her future child disappear! Usagi gets angry at Nehelenia. Nehelenia likes the way Usagi looks at her because she has hate inside her. Nehelenia then reveals to Usagi everyone inside their mirrors.  Nehelenia then began to tell the story of how this all came about: She said that before she got her mirror, she was always alone, being the Queen of her people at a very young age. She said that despite having respected followers, nobody shared her happiness and her sorrow. But the mirror saved her from solitude and gave her eternal beauty. She was her only friend and the only person she loved. The mirror gave her the reptile-like eyes because she herself was cursed. She wanted to remian beautiful forever so she would prevent from going back to the soltitude she felt before. And to do this, she need the dream mirrors. Nevertheless, the White Moon Princess sealed her in cold darkness. She lost the mirror and became lonely.

  Nehelenia then continually attacked Usagi and said that her long-time hatred will be completed. She picked up Usagi by the throat and started to choke. Nehelenia got very angry at Usagi because she looked at her with sympathetic eyes. She threw Usagi and said that Usagi must really hate her now. Usagi tells her if she keeps doing all this that nothing will change. She says to leave her friends alone and take revenge on her. Everyone in the mirrors starts to shed tears as Usagi does, even thought they are not moving! Just before Nehelenia can attack Usagi, she notices that Mamoru is crying also! As he cries, the piece of the mirror falls out of his eye and he takes control of his body again. All the mirrors with the Sailors inside break and they come out of them. They all, with Usagi, surround Nehelenia in a circle. Mamoru gets up and Sailor Chibi-Moon appears beside him. Usagi encourages them all to unite their powers so that they can start this all over again. Nehelenia attacks them all, but they are not severly hurt (During this, Mamoru turns into Prince Endymion). Usagi's brooch changes into her Eternal Brooch and she transforms into Eternal Sailor Moon and reveals her Eternal Moon Rod. Eternal Sailor Moon asks Nehelenia to recall her real dream. A young Nehelenia wakes up after falling asleep on her throne. She asks if she was asleep and one of the people of her court says "Yes. Just for a second." She gets off her throne and starts to walk away. She stops and says:
  "Oh, right... Could someone sing me a nursery rhyme?"
  "Yes, it would be my pleasure!" another court member says. As everyone watches, Prince Endymion says that it is over for them, but it is beginning for Nehelenia. Sailor Moon then gives Sailor Jupiter back her rose earring. On Earth, we hear Luna say that they all made it. Artemis adds,
  "A dream is only for the night. In the morning, a new day begins!" We then see the Earth from Space. We hear the voice that awoke Nehelenia starting to laugh.
