Taiki is the most intelligent of the "Three Lights". It is said that he could be as smart as Ami because he gets high scores on test and exams. He likes poetry and literature and he likes to be alone sometimes. Taiki is also very mature and is also very serious. He doesn't laugh very much (if at all), except in one episode, when Usagi makes a silly remark and when she makes mistakes on a cooking show with Taiki and Makoto. Just like Yaten, Taiki does not like being famous because he likes to be by himself. And also just like Yaten, he has doubts that the Starlights will be able to find their Princess before Galaxia destroys the Earth. But though he may be sarcastic and mean at times, Taiki does have a good side to him that is really never shown. He truly cares for the important people in his life: his friends and his princess.

  When Sailor Star Maker is in battle, he is calm and determined. She is very focused on finding Princess Kakyuu, even though he thinks that the Starlights can't find her. Similar to Healer, Maker does not want any distractions, so she does not deal with the Sailor Soldiers. She also warns Usagi/Sailor Moon to stay away from Seiya. When Galaxia appears on Earth and fights against the Starlights, Maker loses hope and believes that Galaxia is too powerful to be killed. But when Princess Kakyuu comes back to life after Galaxia is saved by Sailor Moon, she is extremely happy and her faith returns to her.
