Your Point Being....?

Ok, I'll admit it, I'm one bored, wierd, tragic individual.....
and hey, if you are too, then send me your strange, pointless little Savage fact, and I'll whack it up here!

In the Australian Macquarie dictionary, Dan is defined as:
"dan n. (holder of) degree of proficiency in judo etc. [Jap.]"

There are 41 words in the lyrics on the Savage Garden debut album beginning with "d". In alphabetical order, they are: daddy, dance, dancing, damn, damnation, dark, darkness, dawn, day, dead, deals, death, decaying, deceive, decide, deep, deeper, deeply, defined, delivered, departed, describe, deviation, devoid, devotions, devour, die, different, dignity, disco, display, dive, diver, divine, do, doew, don't, doorway, doubt, down, dream.

Daz seems to like verbs. On the album, he does a lot of: waiting, reaching, going, hanging, romancing, dancing, probing, getting, talking, swimming, shining , standing, looking, exploding, whispering, running, sending, coming, decaying, contemplating, fading, building, wasting, doing, taking, making, saying.

The middle eight of Love Can Move You sounds exactly like the middle eight in the U2 song that goes "...alright, she moves in mysterious ways...". I don't know what the song's called though....someone help me out here?

Toni Pearen and Bob Dylan both sang songs called "I Want You". The Bob Dylan one's pretty damn cool by the way! And thanks to Michelle, who tells me that Third Eye Blind also sing a song with that title. Well butter me bread on both sides hey?

Neither Dan nor Daz knows what that chick is singing in I Want You...they reckon it's Latin, and it just kinda "came out in the mix".

Darren misspelled "commitment" and "comfy" on the remix album.

Bubbles sez: The album 'Savage Garden' has 25,842,960 syllables!

Ashelle sez: The original version of TMD called for the lyrics to be "I want to stand with you on a mountain I want to mate with you in the sea" but Colby, upon reading it for the millionth time noticed it and said it was grotesque and demanded Darren change it.

Ashelle also sez: chic-a-cherry cola only came about because Dan had the hiccups!

and... Darren dedicated Iris (good taste, don't you think?) to his wife on an Aussie radio station over a transatlantic call after seeing City of Angels, which was the first place he heard it.

April sez: Dazza sings "packs her bags for outer space" but going to the moon is sort of near space, don't ya think?? Outer space is like out of our star system...

April also sez: Daz also sings "got a ticket for a world where we belong" indicating singular ticket, so how are they both going???
