In Loving Memory Of Max

Maxiedoodle the Angel who will help us to remember what rescue is about. Max went to the Rainbow Bridge after spending four years in a loving home with a family who misses him. This page is a tribute to our dear Maxie who crossed the rainbow bridge, September 5, 2002.

Max had a hard life, but after he settled in and realized he wasn't going to be dumped ever again, he soon turned into the best dog on earth. He was so full of love, and I truly believe he appreciated his new found family.

Never a day goes by that something triggers a memory of Maxiedoodle. Max was a very special boy, as he was the very first rescue for the Oklahoma Boston Terrier Rescue Society. Since Max's rescue, there have been hundreds of lost little boston souls walk through Sally's doors, only to find themselves surrounded with total love. Sally works very hard placing bostons. Thank you Sally for all that you do for the Boston Terrier Breed.

God Loves You Maxie, he will keep you safe until we meet again.

Visit BostonAid, a fundraising group that was started because so many of Max's little rescue friends need medical help before they are placed into their loving homes. Please support their auctions on Ebay.....every penny raised is spent on medical bills of the rescues.

Another favorite boston rescue group of ours is Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue, click the banner and pay a visit. You'll be glad you did!

Max's Page before he passed away

Hi everyone! I'm Max, the rescue dog. My sister Mollie has told you lots about me and I just wanted to say I am one of the happiest Boston Terriers in the world! I am adjusted to being a farm boy, and really love my sister, Mom and Dad and new brother Beau! Mollie has taught me the ropes around here, especially chasing the farm cats up in the tree!! Dad and I also go for walks down the road. I can keep up now, especially after I've fattened all the way up to 37 pounds!! I think it has something to do with all the cheese I beg for. Life is good on the farm, and I know I'm here to stay forever!

Here I am with my Rescue Godmother, Sally from Oklahoma!
I love Sally!

Snuggling with Mollie on the couch.

Catching a few Z's. Boy, this is better than running the streets of Oklahoma City!

This is me on Valentines Day!

Mom says I made the cutest bunny in the Too Cute Photo Contest!! Mom insists on taking silly pictures of me! But I'll do anything for a liver treat or CHEESE!

We never knew how much fun it would be to be brothers!

A Little Dog Angel

High up in the courts of heaven today
a little dog angel waits;
with the other angels he will not play,
but he sits alone at the gates.
"For I know my master will come" says he,
"and when he comes he will call for me."
The other angels pass him by
As they hurry toward the throne,
And he watches them with a wistful eye
as he sits at the gates alone.
"But I know if I just wait patiently
that someday my master will call for me."
And his master, down on earth below,
as he sits in his easy chair,
forgets sometimes, and whispers low
to the dog who is not there.
And the little dog angel cocks his ears
and dreams that his master's voice he hears.
And when at last his master waits
outside in the dark and cold,
for the hand of death to open the door,
that leads to those courts of gold,
he will hear a sound through the gathering dark,
a little dog angel's bark.
