Here we have a space dedicated to reviewing some of Shadow Weaver's most important episodes! Let's cut straight to the chase!

THE PRICE OF POWER: This is, without a doubt, THE most important Weaver episode. As you may have gathered from my rambelings, her background is revealed in this, and as an added bonus, we get to see SORT OF what she looks like. You know, BEFORE she was the Shadow Weaver we know and love today. This ep is a must see for all Shadow Weaver fans!

SHADES OF ORKO: Guess who got some misinformation? Now that I've actually SEEn this episode, I can review it properly. This episode is actually pretty good! Not only is it packed with Shadow Weaver, but we finally get a break from all that boring stockfootage! PLUS we get to see parts of Horror Hall we never knew existed. Sure Orko takes away Weaver's shadow in the end, thus her magics, but it isn't the WORST punishment I've seen dished out to her. Plus she HAS to get her shadow back, considering she's in a couple of eps after this one!

OF SHADOWS AND SKULLS: This is quite an important episode, for this is where she gets the chance to extract revenge upon Hordak for opressing her all these years- almost! After almost getting the sack from the Horde after bungling a spell (and threatening Imp), she teams up with the He-Man villain, Skeletor. After Shadow Weaver and he manage to defeat Hordak AND She-Ra, Skeletor puts his former teacher in a magic bone-cage. Weaver steps into the cage after Skeletor as they mock the unconcious Hordak, but the boney baddy jumps out and slams the door behind him, leaving Shadow Weaver trapped in the cage with Hordak. He'd been planning betraying her all along! But they do manage to escape, Weaver making up an excuse saying that Skeletor had trapped her too, and sends him back to Eternia. Um... wasn't it supposed to be Weaver vs. Hordak? Because by the end of the show, it's SKELETOR vs. Hordak. Ack!

A LOSS FOR WORDS: This episode showed quite a while before 'The Price Of Power' and gave it a kick start- it's the first time we ever hear that Shadow Weaver wasn't always this powerful sorceress. It's one of Her and Hordak's seemingly never-ending fights of which is more powerful/reliable- machinery and science or sorcery and magic. After voicing her opinion, Hordak traps her in a painful electrical prison and she grovels for mercy. It shows us just who is in charge (unfortunatly). But maybe more importantly, he states that 'It was the Horde who gave you those powers... and they can be taken back quite easily!' And 'You were nothing but a second-rate sorceress from Mystacor when I found you.' This is the first time ever we hear that Shadow Weaver actually HAS a background... and a very shaded one at that.

THE SWORD OF SHE-RA ('Into Etheria', 'Beast Island', 'She-Ra Unchained', 'Reunions', 'The Battle for Brightmoon'): Well well, if it isn't the first five episodes which tell us of She-Ra's origen and her choice to join the rebellion! I could go into it more, but THIS IS A SHADOW WEAVER SITE, NOT A SHE-RA SITE!!!!!!!!! Shadow Weaver keeps putting Adora under a spell so she forgets about what evil she sees the Horde doing to Etheria. Weaver assumes the role of mother to her, but in short, Adora finds out about her origens, breaks the witch's forgetting spell, and she's out of the Horde like a bat outta hell!

THE CRYSTAL CASTLE: Ooo, this is a goody! Shadow Weaver decides to attack Castle Brightmoon, and almost suceeds! Unfortunatly, not only does she fail, but she gets overshadowed by the plot. That is, She-Ra has to find the legendary Crystal Castle to save Brightmoon. And of course she does, and the Crystal Castle becomes a fundamental piece of She-Ra history. Dang!

THE ELDRICH MIST: This is another episode that delves into Shadow Weaver's past- Castaspella. We find out that they were once friends, and it was shown in 'Price Of Power' that they were both students of Norwyn. But now Shadow Weaver has grown a hatred for Casta, and a showdown between the two takes place. Of course Filmation, with it's lousy morals, lets Casta win, which would probably never happen if things went along the way of what's more likely than what's more benifical for kids to learn. Right? ^_^
