Billie Joe's Guitar

Billie Joe has:
  • A Fernandes Stratocastor Copy of a Fender Stratocaster which he calls "Blue" with Seymour Duncan Pickups which he only uses the third pickup and the first two are never used.
  • Also, he uses a Guild Accoustic Guitar on Good Riddance(Time of Your Life).
  • Billie Joe used to use Ernie Ball Strings but recently changed to GHS Boomers.
  • Billie Joe uses Dunlop Tortex Standard .88mm picks(green).

    Billie's Amp


  • Billie Joe uses Marshall amps and stacks. The exact amp that Billie Joe uses is the "1959 SLP" with the name "Pete" spray painted on it.
  • In the recording of Nimrod he used an Orange Amp(thats the name of it not the color).
  • Billie also runs both of his amps through one channel combining the sound.
  • Billie's amp is originally 100 watts but he wire them in to 4 cabinets.
  • That amp model is a "Marshall 2100SLX". He doesn't use any effects or anything, just his amp.
  • Billie also uses his Pignose when not in concert or anything like that.

    Mike Dirnt's Bass

  • Mike's main and mostly used Bass is a Gibson G-3.
  • He also has:

  • A Different Bass.
  • A Fender '66 and '69 American Standerd Precision Basses.
  • A Fender '62 Vintage Precision Bass.

    Mike's Amp

  • Mike's main Amp is a Messa/Boogie "Bassis M-2000" going through 6x10 and 1x18 MessaBoogie Cabinets.

  • Mike uses a Dunlop .73mm pick(yellow).
  • Mikes Strings remain a mystery.
