You have entered into our halls, and you are welcome. Join us in the halls of dining, or read the ancient dwarven tomes in the Hall of Records!      Yet we are not without purpose as we feast to many a victory! Lo, our purposes are many, and feasting is but one of them. Come, sit down, and I shall tell ye of these proud dwarven warriors defending their homes from the vile orcish hordes! Or listen to a tale of the scouring of Khazad-dûm, as the warriors of the House of the Silver Deeps stormed into the darkness and brought to it the light of many a shining lantern.      Herein lie the beliefs and mission of the House of the Silver Deeps, giving our order purpose as it serves the eternal crown of the House of Durin. Renaissance, the recovery of ancient wisdom      We are the noble subjects of the House of Durin, and staunch defenders of its tradition. We seek the lost tomes of knowledge written by dwarven scribes in the Golden Age of Khazad-dûm, for they hold treasures more dear to the House of Durin than the purest mithril. Zionism, the retaking of our ancestral lands      The House of Durin has suffered many a bitter defeat; defeat which has left it near to ruins. Yet kept alive by the brave dwarven warriors who would not accept such a fate, the House of Durin stands here, now, in the lost halls of Khazad-dûm! Yet there lie many dark caverns within these glorious caves of mithril, and the House of Durin will not live in fear again. We are the hands and eyes of the King of the House of Durin, and for him we do battle and retake our ancestral homelands. We are the warriors fighting for the glory of the House of Durin, and keep lit the flame of Mahal! Tradition, the preservation of dwarven heritage      Honor and courage is the basis of dwarven tradition, and it is the quest of the House of the Silver Deeps to keep this tradition alive. Our beliefs are the binding force within the House of Durin, and we must not let it wither. Too often have the seeds of Morgoth attempted to corrupt the House of Durin, and all the more has the House of Durin staunchly resisted. The beliefs of the House of Durin must be kept alive by the fire of Mahal in order that we may stay free of Morgoth. Peace, the true foundation of an empire      It is said that dwarves are slow to make friends, yet are friends forever after. Yet not alone can the House of Durin establish itself and restore its former glory. Too often have the wrongs of the early ages between dwarves and the Eldar races brought the downfall of both kingdoms. It is now the mission of the House of the Silver Deeps to develop strong ties with the free peoples on Middle-earth, for it is in friendship that we are truly free of evil.
