Welcome, traveler, to the House of the Silver Deeps!
|
Hail, wanderer! Here shall be told the order of the House of the Silver Deeps, it's structure and form. Know that there is no nobler a house than that of Durin, and that we are its steadfast servants.
From atop the highest perch of Middle-earth, Khazad-dûm, the Tower of Durin overlooks the lands of dwarves. Built in the Golden Age of Khazad-dûm, it still stands as a reminder of the strength of Durin's House, and has come to symbolize the order of the House of the Silver Deeps.
The warriors of the House of Durin have long kept watch over its many homes and strongholds throughout Middle-earth. The Mansion Watch is comprised of the elite warriors of the House of the Silver Deeps, serving the House of Durin with an iron fist and a blade of dwarven steel, vanquishing the enemies of Durin Deathless.
Since the Golden Age of Khazad-dûm, the House of Durin has been renowned for its accomplishments in lore and knowledge. With a new dwarven renaissance are there newly born the sages and philosophers of Khazad-dûm, and thus survives the traditions which had begun when Durin Deatless walked the world.
Resting in the deepest pockets of Middle-earth lie the mithril mines of Khazad-dûm, the flaming smithies of the silver deeps, and the clanging of steel once heard from the dwarves of yore in the Golden Age. The dwarves of the House of Durin have been renowned for the finest weapons, armor, and jewelry throughout all ages of Middle-earth, and with the reconquest of Khazad-dûm is their reborn this renown, restoring the ancient wealth in the name of the House of Durin.
