Warriors Blast Through Arvin
Tehachapi Now 3-0 in League Play

ARVIN – Tehachapi racked up 313 yards of total offense in the first two quarters, scoring six times in the first half en route to a 55-14 win on the road.

The Warriors (7-1; 3-0 SSL) surged to a 41-0 halftime lead. Kelly Lorenz, Franky Rodriguez, and Adam Mullen accounted for Tehachapi’s first three touchdowns, with Mullen taking a run up the middle for a 42-yard score in the final play of the first quarter.

Mullen found the endzone again on a two yard scamper on the Warriors fourth score, while Garrett Coontz returned an interception 74 yards for a pick-six and JJ Balkar hauling in an Ehren Ochsenrider 34-yard touchdown pass for the fifth and sixth Tehachapi touchdowns, respectively.

Lorenz led all rushers with 139 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns, helping Tehachapi to 396 yards rushing overall. The Warriors also had 82 yards passing from Ochsenrider.

For Arvin (2-6; 0-3 SSL), Noel Lopez had a nine yard touchdown run in the third quarter, set up by a Daniel Gonzalez 46 yard kickoff return to the Tehachapi 27-yard line.

Lopez finished with 116 yards rushing on 14 carries, with his last carry a 60 yard touchdown run just before the game expired.
