The 1933-34 Warriors include, left to right, back row Bob Schneider, Ed Mathisen,
middle row, Theodore Forester, Charles Newman, Richard Carroll, Bob Hooker, Gordon Fraser, and kneeling, Bill Dean.
The Warriors, under coach Gus Offerman, finished 0-4 in Desert League play. The Desert League was won by Needles in 1934.
This would be the final season for Mr. Offerman as the head coach of the Warrior basketball program. He coached at Tehachapi High School for four seasons.
For the first time, a season ending tournament was held in Tehachapi on February 13-14 because Tehachapi had the "finest gym in the Desert League".
In the opening round, Lone Pine upset host Tehachapi 21-12, and Bishop crushed Lancaster, 32-15. In the finals, Bishop won the tournament by defeating Lone Pine, 24-11.
For his fine all-around play, senior Steve Valdez was given the team Most Valuable Player award.
