The 1949-50 Warriors include, kneeling, left to right, Don Peters, Carlos Martinez, Tony Elizondo, Elwin Williams,
Franklin Fletcher, Billy Melton, Dick Edwards, and coach John Goodell. Standing in the back are Delzer and Newel.


Warriors Finish 2nd In Sierra League
Elizondo Leads Warriors Scoring Attack

For the second straight year, the Warriors finished 2nd in the South Sierra League with a 7-3 record. League champion Shafter
finished with a perfect 10-0 record in league play.

On the non-league schedule, the Warriors split two games with Lone Pine; lost twice to Victorville;
and lost twice to Antelope Valley-Lancaster.

For the second straight year, guard Tony Elizondo led the Warriors in scoring. Elizondo was a 1st team all-league selection.
