KARSTEN SWEEN PASSES BURROS TO 47-13
WIN OVER THE WARRIORS

RIDGECREST--Burroughs quarterback Karsten Sween threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Burros scored on their first four possessions of the second half to blow open a close game in a non-league contest.
Sween finished the night 16-for-29 with 352 yards. He connected on five straight passes, including two for TD's, late in the second quarter and early in the third quarter.
The Warriors (0-1) led 7-6 on the strength of a 79-yard TD run by Sean Finley in the second quarter before the Burros took over. Sween completed three straight passes for 66 yards, setting up a 3-yard TD run by Matt Williams with 59 seconds left in the half.
Sween hit Ethan Cubit with a 52-yard TD pass early in the third quarter, followed that with a 6-yard TD pass to Jacob Hess and finished the third quarter with his own 1-yard TD run.
Dan Haycock scored early in the fourth quarter for Tehachapi before Burros ended the game with two mores scores--another 52- catch by Cubit and a 15-yard run by Anthony Williams.
