Bennett Rambles For 168 Rushing Yards
Senior running back Danny Vandeventer rushed for two touchdowns to lead Tehachapi to a non-league victory over Foothill.
The Warriors improve to 2-1 while Foothill drops to 0-3.
Vandeventer scored on runs of 3 and 1 yards. Leading Tehachapi's ground game - which ammassed 285 yards on 56 carries - was senior Chad Bennett, who gained 168 yards on 25 carries. Gary Evans added 89 yards on 17 carries.
Foothill opened the scoring with a 31 yard field goal by Michael Alvarez, but Tehachapi responded with three touchdowns to lwead 21-3 at half.
Chris Denman scored the Warriors' first TD, hauling in a 17 yard pass from quarterback Derrik Easttom.
The Warriors open SSL play this Friday, Oct. 6 at home against Liberty.
Dan Ingle led Foothill completing 18 of 34 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns.
